Love this store, moved to Marlinton 7 months ago and there are specific foods we like some canned and boxed and meat. They have everything I love. From my certain soup,cereal, veggies, and love meat selection from ham to oysters.

I can’t say enough good things about IGA in Pocahontas! They truly stand out as the last grocery store before reaching Snowshoe. The convenience alone is a huge plus, but what really sets them apart is their outstanding service and selection. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. I was impressed by the variety of products they offer – it’s like they have something for everyone. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor heading to Snowshoe, IGA is a must-stop destination. They’ve made my shopping experiences enjoyable and hassle-free. Kudos to the IGA team for their commitment to excellence!

IGA always has good stuff for a decent price, it's like 1 of 2 stores in the town, so, always a large selection, the Deli is amazing, always got stuff out, shelves always seem to be stocked now, sometimes the ice cream freezers are bare, butcher is always on top of the meat selections and making sure everything is out.

This place has been been upgraded since my last visit, summer of 2021, and was getting fresh paint on this visit.Staff was very helpful, and the produce selection was better than you expect to see in such a remote area.Prices are better than the other groceries up-and-down the Valley.

I really appreciate my local IGA. All the employees, especially Tammy and Aaron, are so nice and friendly. I also recently requested the owner/manager to please stock V8 Healthy GREENS...she had it on the shelves within 2 weeks and was happy to do it!!!Very, very nice and much appreciated - I bought 4 yesterday!IGA is always clean, the coupon kiosk is super cool, and the new flooring looks great.The produce section, bakery, pizza counter...all look great all the time. Has all you need from basic essentials to cute WV t-shirts. Kept up nicely by the kind & helpful staff. They offer curbside pick up, but if you find yourself needing help while shopping in-person , they're more than willing to help you load your groceries in your vehicle.

Decent place to get groceries when you're not shopping for a lot of groceries. My major complaint is every time I go in there the cashiers is on their cell phones. When you thru their line because the the one that is working is backed up they cop a major attitude. Very rude! Very off putting.

Again for the HUNDREDTH time I got home with RAW meat in the same bag as my bread. I catch it most of the time before I leave the store and make them fix it.....but in a hurray and now I have bread I can't eat. I have an immune system issue and RAW meat can make me VERY ill. There is a new grocery store coming, maybe 2 more, I can't wait!!!!!

Pleasant staff, fast cashiers.Knocked off one star because they didn't have the inexpensive chicken hindquarters I like to buy for general cooking needs.Meat prices were average and everything else was comparable to other grocery stores.

IGA is not anything to write home about. Most of us the live in Marlinton travel 1 hour if not further to grocery shop due to high prices, moldy or freezer burnt product and many of the employees are just down right rude. They would rather text on their phone then scan your items. Thank godness they put a DG market in.

Older store that needs some TLC. Always has an odd smell. Butcher on site; good cuts of pork. Produce variety and brand names limited due to small size of store. Staff friendly. Deli serves fried chicken and sides.

It's the largest grocery store in Marlinton and has an alright selection, but the prices are kind of steep. The staff will go out of their way to help you and they are all very friendly.Just what you'd expect shopping in a small town grocery store.

The cashier was very rude and turned her back to us. She rang our items up and didn't say thank you or let us know if we had to bag our own groceries or if she was going to. We bagged our own groceries! She never said thank you or anything! If I would've seen her badge and name, I would put it out here and blast it...she deserves to be recognized for her awful customer service!

This place is okay they have everything you need however it's so unorganized that it's crazy. There are literally two spots you go to to get canned vegetable, two places you go to get steak sauce, the items you expect next to something arnt and the items you wouldn't expect next to items are. For example the protein shakes are next to the cake icing. The one thing that's still odd, at the time of this review they have a huge beverage sign with no beverages beneath the sign. They need to really just take a week and reorganize everything. There are 5-6 spots you can go to to get a beverage. The whole store is just random. Quality is okay just check the dates because THEY DO NOT ROTATE. Be careful because this means if the stock of something is low it's most likely going to be really old and will expire in a few days if not the next day.

Has most everything you need in groceries. Produce section is lacking in quality and variety. Check packages for rot and mold. Workers not as friendly as the Hot Springs VA IGA but store has a little bigger selection. No beer or wine here!

Met our needs while on vacation. While the town of Marlinton didn't seem to be the host of many friendly and personable locals, the IGA was an exception. Employees were very kind and helpful with a smile on their faces.
