Very friendly staff, and reasonable prices for an all day bike rental. I emailed and said I would be there around 1 and when I showed up there were two great bikes waiting for us, one equipped with a simple repair kit (which we did not need, but it was nice to know we had it). We went two places in Cass and neither had their bikes actually available and both were more expensive had the bikes been up and running. We biked north, lovely route, a bathroom after a few miles, got to go through the old train tunnel which was super fun. Took 3 minutes to hand over $40 and leave with 2 bikes.

I decided last minute I wanted to kayak down the river and showed up unannounced.Chuck was very friendly, accommodating and made me feel comfortable. He had me set up to go down the river in no time.Great well maintained equipment!Going down the river was the most peaceful thing I’ve done in a long time.10/10 would recommend!Thanks Chuck!

We were bike packing from the south trail head of Greenbrier River trail to Cass, WV. On our way I realized I wasn't going to be able to make it to Cass in time, so I stopped in Marlinton looking for a shuttle service to Cass. Chuck, the owner of this store was recommended. I showed up at us store unannounced and asked if he would be willing to shuttle me there. He agreed and after he closed the store for the day he took time out of his afternoon to shuttle me to Cass.THANK YOU CHUCK!Highly recommend his shuttle service if you are in need of one. Not only does he shuttle from Marlinton to Cass but also to other parking areas along the Greenbrier trail.

Appreciated the reliable shuttle service to Cass where we started our week long trip along the Greenbrier River Trail. Also, Chuck was very generous with his time and knowledge in helping me plan the best itinerary for our ride. Big kudos to this outfit !

Only thing available , the owners us actually kinda snootie and they watch you like ur gonna steal something. I mean , I have bought 9 mm shells there and a stun gun but I hate going in. I feel like I'm an out cast. This place just isn't very welcoming 😠

This place was great! Clean, right sized and had the amenities we needed like shower, bath towels, fridge and coffee pot. It was also affordable! Some of the lodging around here was expensive compared to what you were getting for price. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. We got into town late and he worked with us so we were able to stay the night out of the thunderstorms! We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent experience. The owner shuttled us on Greenbrier Biking Trail. Excellent experience. He was on time, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable. Pointed out wildlife along the way. We look forward to doing it again. Marlinton is gorgeous area. Friendly town!

Amazing place! The kids and I went for a last minute kayak ride down the river. The guy in the front was by himself and still worked very patiently with us. The kids and i had an amazing time on our 4 mile river float.

Well stocked store actually has decent amount of flies if you fly fish. Staff was not helpful at all, when asked about flies the young woman at the counter just said "I don't know anything about that". Then went back to playing on her phone.

Awesome store to get outfitted for anything outdoors. Owner was awesome and went out of his way to help us on a canoe trip down the Greenbrier. Very knowledgeable of the Greenbrier river - where to take out and put in; how long trips will take, etc. Definitely stop in and support this local business!

Very diverse variety of outdoor goods. Hits pretty much all of the bases in for things you can do in the area. In addition, they have awesome prices on flies, I stocked up before I drove back home.

Recently I had Chuck of Appalachian Sport shuttle my vehicle from Cass down to Caldwell so that my wife and I could ride our bikes the entire 78 miles of the Greenbrier River Trail. He worked with my schedule, maintained excellent communication, and delivered the vehicle as promised. Couldn't have asked for more. Also when we were passing through Marlinton, we were able to swing by his store and I was impressed with all the neat hunting and fishing gear, along with a decent selection of firearms and ammo.

I've been using Appalachian Sports for at least 10 years to shuttle my bike groups. We usually do a Fall & Spring ride from Cass to Caldwell. Chuck is a great guy, knowledgeable about the area and always helpful.

Store personnel was not at all helpful. No other shoppers and he did not offer to guide me to an item that he knows is hard to find among many items that look alike. He had a generally unconcerned and defensive attitude. I regret the purchase which would have been more pleasant at WalMart.

Amazing bait and tackle shop, has everything you could ever need, poles, bait, hooks, mealworms, nightcrawlers, everything, for a decent price as well.Nearby activities: Right beside a subway, godfathers pizza and a gas station. There is a river right below it to fish at as well. Playground and small park across the bridge, DQ down the road, and so much more.
