Fun and quirky place to stop. There is so much to see and tons of fun photo options. It is definitely a unique dining experience. We chose to eat in on the bus , they do have outdoor dining options as well. Everything we got was excellent and we had wonderful polite service. They also sell shirts and stickers so grab those while you’re there. Excellent prices and we got our food pretty quickly! Worth the stop! I forgot to take pictures of all our hot dogs before we ate them. But took some other photos while there. Menu is also available online. Mothman dog was a favorite in our group and of course the classic WV dog.

We sought out this one, after seeing it on triple d many years ago and realizing it was on our route. Very eclectic, fun vibe. Eating in an old school bus was entertaining. Staff was extremely welcoming. Food was good value priced.Kid-friendliness: Kids have lots to enjoy wondering around all the antique toys. And hot dogs, burgers and fries, well what kid wouldn’t enjoy this dining option.

This is one of the most fun places I've ever eaten! I'm a vegetarian and wasn't expecting to be able to get more than fries at a hotdog restaurant, but they had several vegetarian options and the one I had (the Lockwood Veggie Dog) was super good! The staff was also REALLY friendly, like, as in one of the friendliest groups of employees I've ever encountered friendly. The decor and architecture is unbelievably quirky and fun. We had an absolute blast! We were there in the rain during the off season, but I'd love to go back when things are in full swing!Vegetarian options: They have a veggie dog, a veggie burger, and a couple of mushroom based options. A lot of the sides are vegetarian as well! While they have no specifically vegan options, I'm very confident that they could provide some!Dietary restrictions: I asked to have the nacho cheese left off my dog (idk, it specifically doesn't agree with me), and they made sure that it was okay that it still has shredded cheese and coleslaw made with mayo on it. It was very nice, and I think they'd be very accommodating of serious dietary restrictions!

I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s such a one of a kind place. The food is good (hot dogs are a staple in this area if you’re not from WV) and the indoor seating is on remodeled school buses. There a picnic tables outside, plus an INSANE amount of Knick-knacks. It’s encouraged for you to sign your name on the building/ buses, and there’s so much to look at you can walk around for a good 20min and not see everything. They even have a wedding chapel! A favorite tourist spot for sure. Support local 💚

Hillbilly Dogs is a must visit! This is a very unique dining experience for sure. Located in Lesage, WV awaits some of the best hot dogs you will ever eat! When you pull in the parking lot, you are greeted by a plethora of small buildings, school buses and various Appalachian works of art. This restaurant/complex is definitely a play on West Virginia & Appalachia. You enter the main restaurant, order up you dogs & drinks, then go to the picnic tables outside or school buses to sit and enjoy your meal. They have a good challenge or two, order the home wrecker or widow-maker dogs if your daring. I’m telling you, this is definitely a must visit if your down this way.

This is a great destination place. Great for motorcycle rides or even in a car. The hot dogs themselves are ok, it's the variety of toppings that makes this places amazing. I can see why Tripple D came here. Eating in busses is fun, it is a tight fit. The only down side can be the wait. The lines can be really long depending on the day. The Saturday we went. We waited in line over on hour. At least you can get beer while you wait!!! Overall it was a great time and worth the trip down there, especially on a bike!

I ordered just a chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries and Dr Pepper I also purchased 2 stickers and a long sleeve shirt! Total $48.06 . Very cool joint in middle of nowhere. Lots to see and look at for sure. They have done a great job with the atmosphere and seating area which you can be inside they have seating area on 2 buses or outside . The food wasn’t that good the chili had to flavor ! Service was five ⭐️ the young man was friendly and food came out fast. They offer beer ,soda in a can and water. Parking is good for vehicles and motorcycles !

Stopped in here for Lunch and wow, what a cool place! So much to see and fun to sign stuff too! The food was pretty good as well, and hit the spot after a busy morning visiting Mothman stuff.I would definitely recommend you stop here, grab some food, and take some photos of the amazing decor!

Stopped here on our road trip adventure. The atmosphere was so unique- so many corky things to look at and make you laugh. It’s an experience to eat inside of an old bus! The different combinations of hot dogs were more intriguing than the food itself. The hot dogs were good, but nothing super excellent. The onion rings were delicious, though! Worth the stop to see the location and have the experience!

We traveled about 1.5 hours to visit this place. It is definitely unique and it's worth visiting if you're in the area. It does have a "tourist trap" vibe but there really isn't anything else in the area. I agree with the other reviews, the fried dogs are definitely better than the standard steamed/boiled. Surprisingly, the egg dog was my favorite. I just wish they had fountain drinks instead of cans/bottles. I would come back if I'm in the area but I don't think I would make a special trip again.Kid-friendliness: Unique attractions for kids to see and play with. However, some of the signage and graffiti is not appropriate for kids.

I absolutely love this place!! It’s funky eating areas and all the kitschy novelties all over the place. Now let’s talk food, their hot dogs are some of the best I’ve had, they have a huge variety of unusual combinations on their dogs. For the brave eaters they have a challenge dog, The Homewrecker it’s a ten pound eating challenge!!The onion rings are great, the fries are great and the employees that work there are the best. It’s like visiting a carnival every time I go.

One of those "come for the experience" places. The location is right off the freeway in the beautiful WV forest. Service is friendly, prompt and the atmosphere is cool. You'll run into a long line but it only took 20 or so minutes to get through. The food IMO wasn't the best. Onion rings were overcooked, dogs were good but not great, and the garlic ranch fries were just ok.

This place is incredible and overwhelming at the same time. There is just so much to see, it is a sensory overload on the eyes. Even if you don't eat a hot dog, it is definitely worth a stop. We did eat hot dogs while we were there. We got a pizza dog and 2 Mothman Dogs. Personally, I enjoyed my Mothman dog, though my husband did not like his. My son's pizza dog was cold and not fresh, so he barely ate it. The cleanliness is questionable here, but it is a "Hillbilly" facility so I guess that is to be expected? Either way, it is one neat place!
