Both the day shift and night shift crews are very nice. They always meet and greet, that's a huge deal. They are very helpful and kind to my children. I always shop at this location for the bare essentials and more. Very good place to shop, don't forget to download the app and load your smart coupons. Word of advice is to always punch in your phone number while they are ringing out your products instead of after they ring out your products.

The workers are rude. My daughter is 2 years old I brought a baggy of cheerios with us to keep her calm while shopping. We was waiting in line to check out and a worker said to stop her from eating or we can get out. I sat my stuff down and left. I will never shop at another family dollar again after a manager being so rude. We had a good 50 dollars in items and we go there all the time and no ones ever said anything prior.

I would not even give the store a star I have now had two Bad experiences with some lady that calls herself a manager at the store. Don’t know her name she never did give me her name both times that I spoke to her. The first incident I was actually in the store I was from out of town on the morning of September 22, 2018 , I was trying on a pair of shoes because my husband and I were going to go explore Carter caves and I did not have the right shoes wear so I thought I’d stop in there and just grab a cheap pair . I have a rather small foot I can wear anywhere from a child size four up but this store did not have any size fours so I tried on the size 3 to make sure that it fit comfortably seeing that I was going to be walking in them for a while . I have vertigo so I’m use to falling but I fell inside the store and I fell onto a plastic table that was behind me now when I called the lady said she asked me three times if I was OK but all I remember her shouting was did she fall three times and then a deep sigh as she came towards me and picked up the broken plastic table that I had just falling into! Then as my husband and I left the store she was ringing my things up and throwing them into the bag she wouldn’t even look at us in our faces she didn’t even ask to make sure or asked me that I was OK . When my husband and I were setting in our car in the parking lot so I could change my shoes she came outside and sat and smoked her cigarette and stared at me changing my shoes! I would normally write a review this is the first time I ever did and I never call and complain on people either why did I have not one but two very bad experiences . This store needs to check on this lady that calls her self a manager because she does not act like one when I did call she let me explain myself but after that she told me that it was her that was working and she proceeded to tell me what she did which in fact she didn’t and that she told me that she was very concerned about me that she left another customer ( there was a customer at the counter but I’m sure they would understand) to check on me which she didn’t really check on me she checked on the table which she seemed very upset about. That was my first time in the Lavalette family dollar and I think that will be my last time I know this is based off of one person and one person alone but that one persons face and reaction and what she said I don’t know what the rest of that store would be like because that is the only face and person that I have talk to, after she proceeded to tell me what she did that day to make sure for my safety then she hung up the phone didn’t let me say anything else !! I’m sorry I just find this very rude and I wouldn’t want to know if someone was doing this that work for me because to make that the face of your company, The only thing I got from that store was there rude and I don’t think I want to go back !!

Nice store pretty friendly.... occasionally stuff does not ring up the same as it is priced. Especially the Chips. I watch it closely every time I buy them. Overall a very nice store. We will be back...

The older lady that worked on 3/15 is the most unfriendly person I've encountered at any Family Dollar. I've been in the store multiple times and she has always been rude.

The store is nice. I have only been there 3 times and each time I have had the same cashier. After today I will never go again. The elderly lady there is so rude and unfriendly. Every time!!!Today I was buying coke products..4 two liters at 1 dollar each but must buy four. Only three available. Ask if she had more in back...NO...NO SHE SAID...THEN TOLD KE TO PUT UP WHAT I HAD BROUGHT UP THERE BECAUSE IT TOOK UP HER SPACE. WOW...LAST TIME ALM8ST SAME SITUSTION BUT SAME ATTITUDE. HAD BEEN TO BVILLE ONE EARLIER...WILL TRAVEL THERE BEFORE I GO BACK TO THIS PKACE. IF YOU DOBT WANT YOUR DAY AND DISPOSITION RUINED I ADVISE YOU TO GO ELSEWHERE.

I send my son in with 13 one dollar bills, he wanted to buy some balloons. When he comes back out, he says they don't accept one dollar bills, or $50's. Excuse me, doesn't dollar bills go hand and hand with "Family Dollar"?Evidently not.
