Kenny Queen represents the way a hardware store is ,and was in years gone by ,done properly. Ace is a good company but Kenny Queen puts us were it’s done best. It’s like this , you can pretend to be knowledgeable and be prepared for the craftsman or you can be Kenny Queen.

There is just so much that I can positively say about this ACE Hardware location! I love this location in Ceredo-Kenova even though I live in Guyandotte. I am always welcomed by friendly sales associates. My mobile orders are processed so promptly! Love ❤️ the local hardware store atmosphere over big box retailers like Lowes or Home Depot where one can not get help quickly. I love the mobile app! Highly recommend this store!

This place is pretty expensive. I went in for an American flag, made in America ,$25 to $50.They have everything from lumber to mouse traps.The store is in an ideal location on Oak Street, main Street in Kenova,WV.It is a pretty good big store but, If they want you to shop mom and pop stores to buy local, then their prices have to at least be in competition with bigger stores.Mom and Pop stores are being swallowed up in the U.S.A.

I’m sure we have all seen and heard the advertisements that ask us to spend our money locally, and support our communities. They say buy local instead of the big box stores. I have always tried to do that. Sometimes you may spend a little more, but it’s convenient and normally so much more personalized. You get a sense of your business being important to them. That being said, I no longer feel that way about our local ACE Hardware.In March of 2020 I was temporally laid off from my job due the the impacts of COVID. With time on my hands we decided to build our son a Tiny House as a Graduation gift. On my third trip to buy lumber from our local vendor my truck was accidentally dented by one of their employees who was loading 2x4s I had just purchased. I was asked to drive back around front and ask for a manager. The assistant manager on duty came out and took pictures and was deeply apologetic. Even though I had just gotten the truck, I wasn’t mad, just disappointed. I made several trips there to purchase all kinds of materials and on another occasion my tonneau cover was torn while they were loading my purchases. On this occasion the manager was there and came out to take a look at it along with the previous damage that was done. Again, very nice, he was very professional, apologies and the assurance it would be taken care of. After almost $15k in purchases from our community store, and after being in the store and asking a minimum of once a month for the last year and three months, I was no closer to having any answers from them, and that is still the only dent on my truck. I was given several different excuse as to why it hadn’t been addressed yet. He always needed to talk to someone else, or get approval or something. I even offered to accept a gift card or store credit so the monitory value would be reinvested in their store. The manager agreed that was a good solution. Still......nothing.I was later told by him there was no one else I could talk to about the situation but him. So again I waited. Frustrated, I finally called their operations manager as their business has really grown and spread out into several communities now. There was a time when it was a small store in Lavalette with the hometown feeling and you felt like your business was important. Anyway..... The Operations Manager apologized and said they had no knowledge that this had even taken place and assured me I would hear from someone no later than this past Monday. As of today..... still nothing. Maybe all the growth has turned them into the so called big box store, instead of the local community hardware store that needs our support to survive......... Highly Disappointed. 😒

The selection isn't terrible. But the prices are high compared to Lowe's or Home Depot. The rewards program is also pretty well useless.

Decent little store.. has a lot of commonly used stuff. They dont have it all but can easily save you a trip to Lowe's or home depot if you are in the area, at least stop in to see if they have it or not.

A true iconic "full-service," hardware store brand experience. Martin Transport relies exclusively on Kenny Queen Hardware for all of our hardware project needs large and small. These guys and gals simply can't be beat. Ace should teach its customer service classes in Kenova when training new folks.
