Horrible first time experience here. My cat incurred an injury to her left front leg. Made an appointment for her, Inwood requested an up front 80.00 deposit of which I paid but disputed as I have never paid for anything without not getting something in return. My cat was examined and right out of the gate Dr. Davenport gave me 2 options, amputate or "relinquish" my cat to her. Taking the leg wasn't happening, while thinking of the alternative she suggested a third option, shave the area, treat the wound and wrap it with every 3 day changes to rewrap at 65.00 each. She stated In doing so the wound would heal in about 8 weeks. I agreed after given an estimate of 253.02. Looking over the estimate figures which didn't show my 80.00 deposit I questioned it. Shelby I believe told me it would come off. I left my cat for treatment. Upon picking her up at 5pm they presented me a bill for 253.02. disputed the total as again no reflection of my 80.00 deposit. I was told at the time not all charges or payments were not recorded on the receipts. I paid the bill of 253.02 out shear frustration and to avoid further chaos. Duped, for another word I cant use here out of 80.00. Not sure who got or where my 80.00 went, it certainly didnt make it to my bill. Second to that my final invoice shows payment of the 253.02 but also shows a new balance of 82.79 of which no one could explain. So we went from amputation, "relinquishing" to minor but very expensive treatment???? Do not trust your pets care, wellness or treatment to these people. Very deceitful and misleading to confuse you. Sad treatment by Inwood to people they serve at a time of their pets needs.Sad also we can no longer trust busines because the dollar has gotten in the way, profits before care. This is also the vet that 12 years ago that upon seeking advise on how to care for a 3 to 4 week old kitten, euthanize I was told as it wouldn't survive, 12 years later she's fat and happy.

My wife just got done with a visit here and she was mislead by these people on what was covered for a visit after we adopted our dog from the SPCA (great place btw I love the them) this place decided to run tests and give vaccines without giving any warning that it wasn't covered and then when my wife explained we CAN pay but with a check because I get my paycheck tomorrow the lady at the front desk had an attitude and wanted to withhold the medication from my dog that they said he NEEDS. Do not go to this place unless you are looking for a place that wants to just rack up a bill and then treat you horribly over it.

Have been taking my pets here for years. Always friendly staff. Wait time to see a tech or vet is minimal. Facility is always clean. Going to utilize their boarding with my Pug for 2 weeks next month.

I personally want to thank Inwood Animal Staff for their compassion and care for our family pet Jake these last 15 years. In the 15 years of receiving care we never had a complaint. They look very good care of him. As he crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday all of the staff were caring, compassionate, and made sure even us as owners were okay.

Everyone was so friendly and understanding. Got us in for an emergency appointment within an hour. Very impressive compared to other vets in the area. Highly recommend.

I took my dog there for the heart worm vaccine this morning. . After it’s done, I came to front desk checking out and paying the bill. I was standing there for couple minutes , the lady sitting here didn’t say anything, no greeting and communication.my dog was so nervous and shaking, I asked her if I checked out in right place . The lady gave me the poker face and told me she is waiting for the computer. I was. Waiting for awhile, when I paid I said thank you for her, she still showed me the cold face and didn’t say anything. The doctors and nurses there always nice and professional . The people in front deck need improve their customer service skills.

Had our first puppy visit and was in and out so quickly, I couldn't believe it. Everyone was very nice and even gave samples for heartworm and flea prevention. So glad that they are so close!@petitulysses

Took our little Salem in for a health problem and her shots. They were great with her. They even called me at work to see how she was doing. .

Above and beyond, THE BEST AROUND!!!!! Like most people, your pet is YOUR family member, plain, and simple. These people treat your pet as family too, and that's why I'm saying personally, if you haven't had your pet seen by a veterinarian, or scared of expensive bills, PLEASE come check out Inwood Animal Center, they will take care of YOU, MOST IMPORTANTLY your pet, and they accept major credit cards and other credit services 😉. Regardless, the answer is always going to be NO until YOU CALL AND ASK! Call today!!!

Love Inwood Animal Center. They are very sensitive to your pets needs & yours. I went in after a pitbull attack & they tried to steer me to a specialist (which was booked up) so I referred back to them & they are going to take care of my pet. Thank goodness!Worked there many years ago and saw familiar faces. Which was very soothing to me as I was upset with my pets injury. Dr Hillman remains her sweet, caring self & I recommend anyone with a pet issue or just routine yearly vaccines to go to Inwood! My sweet Stryker before his fight.

Since the practice is having to use "curbside service" I was a little nervous about not being able to accompany my new puppy for his first few visits. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. When the tech comes out she makes notes about any concerns you have and any questions you need to ask the doctor. After the exam is done the doctor calls you and goes over everything. All the personnel are completely charmed by Shadow and take great care of him.

I’ve only been here a few times but have yet to have a good experience. I wait at least 30 minutes for every appointment (what’s the point of making an appointment?) and have to be ready to hand over my entire wallet to them. And be sure to confirm multiple times what the cost will be for your visit because they will tell you one price on the phone and a different price when you go to check out. Then the girl on the phone will catch an attitude with you when you try to tell her that it wasn’t the price you agreed on. Looking for a new vet for my cat.

I greatly appreciate the consideration they have not only for my pup but also for myself as a pet owner. Thank you for the amazing customer service and the great work you all do!

This is the only vet that we have ever and will ever use. Over the years that have provided care to 5 of our animals for their whole lives. They always fit us in as soon as they possibly can. People must keep in mind that if there is literally no time available that they can't create time. They have been completely understanding with us in how much time we needed to gather resources for Cocos surgery and are completely transparent about what he needs and the cost. I have never received anything other that the most prompt and compassionate care from all staff in this office. Our animals are truly loved by these amazing people.

This is one of the very few vets in the area where you can get a same day sick appointment. For that reason alone, it's 5 stars. The vet and technician my dog saw during our visit was great. They are very responsive when I call for a prescription refill and, in most cases, will have it available in just a couple of hours.

Vanellope, ears were hurting her. They work really good with her to calm her, she was very anxious, and really strong. They came up with a back up plan just in case it was needed. I love Inwood, the vets and vet tech's are awesome and really care, thank you for taking such great care with Vanellope

Just a friendly reminder this place is corporate owned and will “fit” your animal in for an appointment. Said my dog was perfectly fine in a full 8 minutes, shoved meds down our throat when we called the next day. My dog ended up passing away 5 days later under intensive care. This vet literally sucks.

Great Vets! We've been going there since before they opened. Our pets have been patients since the old Pikeside location. The care and compassion have always been 1st Rate.

I called and asked for my grandpups rabies verification so I could get her nails trimmed while I was watching her. It was no problem. But they didn't ask for I.D. and they gave me complete shot record. Guess there's no privacy problem with pets?

We used them to board our 2 dogs and they seemed to have loved it. We picked them up healthy and happy. My one dog has some hip problems and my other has some dry nose issues but they handled that with care.Already called to book our next boarding time with them.

They helped my pomchih Gram with his flea allergies. They took us in as a special appointment just 2days after my call which almost never happens when i call vets...others usually act too busy. Not them! They gave him a shave to the badly scratched areas and cleaned it out, put a salve on it, and a prescription for antibiotics and a steroid for a few days for inflammation. He was immediately feeling better and by the second day of meds he was back to normal! They are nice to my babies and professional with me. They even cut his long nails for free. Glad they helped us!!

I took my 10-year-old cat in for his yearly wellness exam on Aug. 17. Having just moved into the area in March, this was my first time using Inwood Animal Center. The vets checked him out, gave him two vaccinations, and sent us home with a kit to collect a urine sample, which is standard for senior cats. The urine sample, which was collected off of my cat's empty litter box, came back positive for one bacterium. The vet prescribed Amoxicillin, which my cat was on for a week and a half. The vet ordered a retesting of his urine at the conclusion of his antibiotic dosage. I came back into the office and picked up the urine collection kit, which consisted of a plastic collection syringe and a vial of rubber pellets, which are meant to mimic litter in a clean litterbox. My cat refused to go in the litterbox for two days, so I came back into the office to pick up another vial of pellets. The front receptionist said, "One should be enough." I explained to her that it wasn't enough, because my cat was avoiding the litterbox. She then gave me the second vial of pellets. My cat finally went in the litterbox on the second day. I collected this second surface sample, and brought it in. To my surprise, the same receptionist said to me, "that'll be $83." I was not aware of this charge prior -- no one had let me know in either of my visits to the office the same week, and I thought the second test was free because the first one was free. So I asked the receptionist if she was sure there was a charge since the first one was included in the price of the overall wellness checkup. She emphatically said, "There IS a charge." Then I said, "OK, so the first one was free, but there's a charge for the second one because the first one came back positive. That makes sense." But I found it odd that the staff left it to me to piece that together and did not inform me beforehand. The second surface urine sample came back positive with two bacteria this time. The doctor called me and said she was recommending "a stronger antibiotic." I told her that I wanted to make sure those first two urine samples were uncontaminated before agreeing to a second antibiotic prescription, since they were collected from a surface and not directly from my cat's bladder. I asked the doctor if she could take a sample directly from his bladder.I brought my cat in on Sept. 7 for a bladder sample. They took him in the back while I waited in the waiting room. They brought him out after about five minutes, and said, "Full cooperation. No issues." The sample cost approximately another $83.In the days after he got home, however, my cat suddenly was walking with a hunched back, couldn't stretch, and was walking on the front of his paws. He was meowing loudly in pain whenever I tried to pick him up, which was new for him.I then called on Sept. 12 to request the results of his urine test. His urine was totally clean. So, the suggestion for a stronger antibiotic appeared to be wrong and my cat might not have had a urinary tract infection to begin with.I called the vet, Inwood Animal Center, on Sept. 14, to let them know of the situation. They said they would alert the doctor and that she may want to examine my cat to check for any issues. The doctor still has not called back. My cat is showing some signs of improvement, but is no longer jumping on things and often hides under the bed, doesn't come downstairs to greet me, and appears to be in pain. This all happened suddenly, after the Sept. 7 vet visit.I would avoid this vet if I were you.

ive been taking my pets here for 15 years and have had some great experiences. theyve helped my pets and i out multiple times. that all changed a few years ago. the front staff can be rude and uncaring. i called to see what time they closed as i was running late and was told if i wasnt there 15 minutes before they closed i couldnt pick my pet up. i just called today because my dog lost control of his legs and cant walk and was told they couldnt see us for a month. this place has gone downhill and i will be taking my pets else where going forward.

Today we had to put my sons cat down and thank God they got us in right away as her health went down hill so quickly due to cancer. The team at Inwood Animal Center was amazing, patient, and made sure to answer all our questions. Thank you all for being such a strong team and for all that you all do.
