I had a great experience buying shoes from this store. I was helped immediately and shown multiple styles. I found a pair that fit great and felt wonderful. Normally I hate tennis shoe shopping because it seems I spend hours trying to find the right shoe. I'm happy to say it took me less than 15 minutes in this store to find the most comfortable pair of shoes I've owned. The person who assisted me, Dan, was very helpful. I highly recommend this place!

Great place, recommended by one of the podiatrists at the Foot and Ankle Clinic. Austin was very helpful, listening to my spouse's concerns about tendinitis, finding several different shoes which would be appropriate, and answering all questions in a professional, friendly manner. Was able to purchase a great pair of shoes at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!😀😍🤩

I would suggest dressing in your Sunday best and bringing your credit score with you if you want service. My MS has caused a lot of issues with my feet, and Robert's was highly recommended to help find me the appropriate shoes. I was running errands on laundry day with swollen ankles so I threw on t-shirt, sweats and a pair of old Ryka walking shoes.When I enter the Huntington store there was only 1 other customer in store, and they were being helped by another person. My "sales" person came up to let me know that they were a small store and if I wasn't planning on buying today they wouldn't bring out all of the varieties of shoes. They were a small store with limited staff. I said I was planning to buy and thought I wanted Hoka's but wasn't sure. She brings out a pair of black Hoka Clifton's. They are a little tight across the foot and I ask if I should be sized.By this point another customer has walked in. She excuses herself and works with them, bringing out multiple shoes for them to pick from. As she walks by me trying to size my own foot with the measuring device she gives me the polite half-smile but continues on into the back. She checks out that customer but another has walked in.He isn't sure what he wants so she brings out multiple boxes for him to try different styles, etc. I try to get another style but she completely ignores me. I sit for 20 minutes while she continues to go in and out of back finding the perfect shoe for the other customer and no other sales people ever walk over to check. I leave with my wallet of cash and will never be back

I've come in three separate times in the last year looking for specific shoes that are very popular 1/2 marathon-marathon shoes. Each time they said "We're not going to have that shoe. But I can order for you online." Very specific wording. You're not going to have that shoe? Hm. Ok. Well, I can order it online myself thanks. I drove 30 minutes to go to a running shop to get sized for that shoe to purchase locally. I get it, you're a small shop and can't carry EVERY shoe. Again, these were all very popular models and it's just disappointing that the only "real running shop" around here "isn't going to have" some of the most popular models. I had no choice but to order online elsewhere because it was just off putting to hear that same phrasing three separate times.

I had the BEST experience at the Huntington store. I have had some low back issues. I was told that I needed to getHe had me take my shoes off and walk away from him. Dan watched how I walked, measured my feet and said he'd be right back. 4 shoe boxes later, my feet were feeling superb.Dan was extremely helpful, polite, knowledgeable and patient. My low back is doing wonderfully and I have happy feet.I highly recommend for everyone to go to Robert's to get their shoes. They do not pressure you in any way shape or form. they professionally fit your feet and believe me, it makes a difference!Thank you Dan!

Their new location is great! Extremely easy to find and good parking without feeding a meter. The new facility (like the old one) is organized, clean and well stocked. The staff is what adds the final touch. Kat helped me over the phone and answered my many questions easily... thanks Kat! When I arrived, Zack greeted me, got the shoes I wanted and had me out the door quickly! Thanks Zack! I would recommend this store over others. My wife is impressed with her new Ghost 14 shoes.

Roberts carried a particular brand of shoe (Alta) my podiatrist recommended. I was greeted as I walked in and offered help finding a shoe.The young lady who assisted me sized my feet and watched me walk to help with a proper shoe. After selecting two pair of shoes, including the Alta's, I tried each on as she checked for proper fit and watched me walk, asking questions about how they felt. I found a pair of Alta shoes that felt great.The young lady ran for Marshall University and not only had great shoe knowledge, but most importantly, was able to communicate and guide me to a shoe that I walk in pain free.Quality shoes, excellent staff and welcoming service. Roberts is a great place to buy running or walking shoes, not just handed a box or two of shoes to try on!

The guys in here are very helpful! I developed shin splints and they helped me decide what products would best help me recover and get back to running.They are very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. I highly recommend them!Update 10/15/22I went in for some new shoes to hopefully help my legs. The lady was so extremely thorough! We tested 4 different pairs of shoes after she measured my feet and watched my gate. We discovered pronation was my issue. Immediately after leaving I went to the track and logged a much more comfortable 4 miles! I so recommend this place for anyone that runs!

Shopped at Roberts for the first time over the weekend. Dan helped find the right shoe for me and my unique needs. I have an ankle replacement, and Dan took the time to fit and find the best shoe. If I want my shoes to fit properly, I go here. Initial investment is a just a little more but worth it for me. Staff member was helpful and willing to explain options. Note that it’s at a new location having moved less than a year ago from downtown Huntington.

Robert's Running shop in Huntington is like an old school running store, not unlike what I would have found in Eugene, Oregon in the late 1970's when I ran for the University of Oregon. The store is well staffed with knowledgeable distance runners, so clearly this business supports the local running community in more ways than one They offer a good variety of quality shoes and gear. I tried on a couple of different models that I was interested in, but my size was currently out of stock. I made a small accessory purchase to help support this small business and will shop there again in the near future.

Best shoe buying experience I have ever had. The staff went out of their way to make sure I had the best shoe for me. They did not just try to shove a shoe and my foot and get me out the door, they had me compare several different shoes to find the one that was most comfortable for what I was using them for. All my running/walking shoes from now on will be purchased at Roberts.

In today's world, it is rare to find a place that has real-deal customer service...this place has it. Not only is it a plus to be a small-business that I'm proud to support, but big-box retailers should take cues from these guys. I know nothing about running whatsoever, but their staff takes the time to use their expertise to get me in the right shoe for me, not what's the most expensive. I can't thank you enough for the help, and you will have my shoe business for the future.

That staff here really care about your success. They will help you find the right shoes, discuss pros and cons of equipment, support local running events, maybe remember your name, and provide a generally wholesome atmosphere. Had to get my grandkids shoes for track and this place gives a discount to students. There were a lot of people there but didnt appear to be customers. It was hard to get waited on and even then, hard to keep their attention. We ended up with shoes 2 sizes too big that had to be returned.

The ONLY place you need to go for running shoes. Trails, road, hiking, everything is available at Robert's. If it's not there, they will order it for you. The employees only care about one thing, and that's getting you into the shoe you want/need. And they all know their stuff, because they are serious, serious runners. I've purchased 2 pairs of Topo TerraVenture's now, because Kat knows what she's talking about. Great selection, good prices, and amazingly friendly people.
