I went in here to get some CDs, I came out with Blink-182's Greatest Hits (not official), Sum 41, and MCR. There was a subhumanz album I wanted but $40 was a little too much for me. They had a decent selection overall.

Despite its small size, Now Hear This is packed with great finds. Prices can be high on some things but we were still able to find some good deals. The employee working when we came in was friendly and helpful.

Really nice guy working there. Took in a mix of old rap, rock, and techno. Was offered around ten cents each. Looks like a nice place to shop but however that was a rather insulting offer. Edit: Spoonful Records in Columbus offered 50 cents a piece. Go there. I edited this comment due to them trying to justify that insanely low offer.

Little store with large selections. Some items seemed price a little high and the better items were not out cause they list those items on eBay and won't sell those in store.

For a nerd like me this is the spot for dvds, cds, cassette tapes and records. Dude that owns the place is like one of the chillest dudes I've ever met. I could shop online but 1) support local business, 2) the atmosphere is 2nd to none 3) convenient right by Marshall. Even got Tshirts and other memorabilia. Highly recommended if your into music or movies.

The owner helped me wrap a bunch of vinyls I was mailing out to make sure they wouldn’t get damaged, even helped me sleeve them! Very nice guy and a great atmosphere

Great store been going here for years. Customer Service is good and staff are very knowledgeable and if they don't know the answer they will find out for you. They also have a great selection of movies, New and old. They even have pre-owned movies at a very affordable price. If they don't have something they can order it and they can find stuff you can't get any where else.

Amazing selection of records from New released, re-released, and vintage. Thousands of CDs if you are into those and even a few cassette tapes.Friendly and knowledgeable staff!Stopped in to look around and found something I have been looking for. Can't beat that!

Owner lowballed me on all of my records and was super rude and condescending the entire time. Location is convenient, but that’s all. Shop elsewhere.

Was in town for a visit and my friends said this place was great. They were right. Left with a Heart record, an Ella Fitzgerald record, & a cool Pulp Fiction shirt. Customer service was amazing & i'll be back for sure.

My only complaint is (and it seems to be consistent so far) that when asking the staff if they have something in stock they tell you it should be under the first letter of the band name. This is insulting to a customer, as there honestly can't be that many idiots coming in the sore that cannot understand that on their own. With that said, I'm grateful for this place and I love to go every chance I get. It's definitely my go to place for vinyls!

I live in Florida now and stopped in while visiting family. This place is a gem!!!! You will not find these vinyls in any large market. They’ve all been purchased already! This includes some Amazon choices as well. Get out and support your local shops!!!

This was a lively music store. The owners were very welcoming and didn’t intrude during our visit. They were sociable and interacted with us during the checkout. I would recommend this shop to others looking for new and classic vinyls.

Very helpful staff. If they don't have something specific you want, just ask and they can get it for you. I'm a repeat customer, and have never had a bad experience with this establishment. They actually ordered a vinyl album rack one year for Christmas, only to find out that the vendor was not able to ship in time to get this item before the holiday. They were quick to get ahold of me, give me some options, and made it right in my opinion. Couldn't ask for better service. They treat you like only a small business can. Great place to buy music paraphernalia (posters, vinyl records, CDs, etc)

The owner is always helpful and friendly. Can't beat the prices on their used LPs. They have everything way cheaper than bookstore or flea market prices. Great DVD selection as well. Everything is organized well. I've been going to Now Hear This years before they moved down the street. Support local businesses!

They have a pretty large selection of new and used vinyl, but it seems to be a bit pricier than some of the other record shops in the region. The also have used cds, casettes, and I think I even saw some vhs tapes. If you are looking for used hard rock/heavy metal vinyl, you might be disappointed.EDIT: Had to drop a couple stars after a recent visit. I found something I was interested in that was in the SALE bin. I placed it back and continued to browse. When I was ready to check out, I went back to get that record, and it was gone. I looked through all the SALE bins, but nada. Went to the register with my other selection and the cashier asked if I found everything OK or something like that. I said I thought I might be going crazy 'cause I couldn't find a record I had just looked at a few minutes earlier in the sale bin. Smiling, he said, you're not crazy, it was there. I said "it WAS?" He said someone just bought it. I was like, "who? There hasn't been anyone else up here." He said, still smiling, "I just bought it for myself." I told him there was another one in the regular bin but it didn't have a sale sticker. He informed me that he knew, and that I was more than welcome to purchase it at regular price.I did not, though I did find it on Amazon, for about the same price as his sale price. To me, it felt kinda like a "Richard" move, if ya know what I mean. I mean, he's the store owner, he could have offered me the other one at the sale price since, ya know, he didn't actually BUY the one, he's simply taking it at cost. For my musical tastes, there are no decent vinyl shops near me. I have to drive an hour to get to his store, but I won't ever again. I'll just stick to Amazon or eBay.EDIT 2: (Response to owner) It was NOT a misunderstanding. You SPECIFICALLY told me I could buy the other copy at full price since I was already getting a good deal on the Type O Negative record.

Great little music shop with tons of music. Large vinal selection and CD's too. Went in to see the vinal. Quickly looked through the CD's. The guy working was nice, greeted us as we came in, didn't bother us as we looked and enjoyed the music playing in the store. Even a friendly goodbye as we left without finding anything to buy.

very good selection of newly released and used music here. they have cds, records, t-shirts, dvds, you name it. I had been to the store before, but this time took a friend to introduce him to it. we both walked out having found some cds as we both collect them.there is a wide variety of artists and genres here. I believe I saw all of the cds from the various Dug Pinnick side projects, which really impressed me, that was something that I didn't expect to see in a store near my neck of the woods. I especially like the section they have of concert dvds. I didn't have the time to look through them all, but noticed they even offered a lot of bootleg concerts.if you're a collector looking for some hard to find albums (or even bootlegs) or someone who just appreciates a well designed and laid out store, go check this place out.

It's an upgrade from the original space. Lots of great records, but too pricey. I'd rather buy from a local shop, but when Amazon has the same record brand new for half the price, that's hard to do. Even the used records were expensive sometimes. There's a record store in Cincinnati called Plaid Room records. NHT needs to talk to those guys for a better business model.

I love this store. Been coming to it and it's old 4th ave location since I was a music fan at 12. They've always had hidden gems that stick out to you that you forgot about. Great DVDs, records, mixtapes and Cds!

Rude employees. Learn how to properly communicate with customers. 25 years in business should have given you experience. Not going back here. I’ll just drive to Granny’s or the Happy Camper. At least I’ll be respected in those establishments.

Went to Now Hear This with my dad and he asked about a particular album. The owner (older guy) asked my dad if he wanted the album as a CD or an LP and my dad didn't know what LP meant so the owner condescendingly said "Do you want to play it in a record player or a CD player?" My dad told him CD so he said he'd check. When he found the album, he handed it to my dad. My dad noticed that the corners of the paper CD case were worn so he naturally tried to pull out the CDs to see the condition they were in. Then the owner said "That's taped. You can't look at it until you buy it." Then he went on to tell us that all their CDs are new and "guaranteed" to be in good condition, but it was obviously from the wearing on the paper CD case that it wasn't brand new. My dad wound up buying the album and the guy cut the tape to let him look at the CDs. One had some smudges and the owner said "Just take some Windex to it and it'll be fine." My dad was satisfied with the album as it was one he had been looking for, but the owner was awful to be around. I won't be going back to Now Hear This.
