This Dollar General is amongst the most trashy store I have ever seen. There is never any employees up front at the register. I've been in their shopping before and watched people walk out with carts of merchandise because no one was up front. They have a squeaky chicken dog toy sitting on the front register with a sign that says squeak toy for service. Their stores in shambles, always out of everything, and items ring up incorrectly quite often. When brought to the attention of the cashier and asked them to correct it, they say there's nothing they can do about it and they will get in trouble if they correct the price. Their merchandise is priced higher than walmart, kroger, Family Dollar, any store in Hinton actually. I do not recommend this Dollar General to anyone.

There is always a long wait. They never have enough help it seems. Plus always a bunch of product in the middle of the isles.. The staff is nice..

I like this Dollar General. The Manger and cashiers are always friendly. But, the store is always so messy and unorganized. You can't get through the aisles. Other DG stores aren't like this. I don't know if they're short staffed or not. The employees seem so overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything and it's a very busy store.

Having this store in this area is Great! Not only does it offer a huge variety of products, everything from grocery to healthcare, beauty, clothing, toys, and even seasonal and holiday themed items as well.Prices are very reasonable and they always offer deals as nd discounts on dozens of items.So nice not having to make s 30 minute drive to town to grab milk and bread or even batteries at night when you realize that you are out!Staff is extremely friendly and helpful here as well. Definitely a great store to shop at!

Convenient location at the bottom of the bridge that connects the uptown with the downtown. Decent prices. It is always my last choice though because they wouldn’t refund me for a phone that wouldn’t work. I always still come here for my favorite dollar general brand razors though. Stock is always a little messy. Outside of grocery stores, this is probably the town’s most popular store.

The employees are very courteous and helpful . Store is always clean and well stocked .That was a year or so ago now the store has most of its stock on carts from the back jest sitting in the isles where the stock goes . And no one putting up the stock . And no canned cat food on shelves

Great local store has a very wide variety of products. Sadly, it is always messy! Not enough staff, I guess. When it first opened it was so neat and clean. Now you wonder how many wild dogs ran through it. Aside from poor lighting and the mess, I always find what I need.

After calling multiple times with a busy signal, I decided to just go to the store, during the whole visit the cashier was on the phone giggling, I sat a heavy item on the floor near a register to go get a couple other things, I told the cashier I was setting it there, he nodded his head as if he heard me. I was only a couple minutes when returning to finish my purchase, he has placed the items back on the shelf, this has happened before, same person. With such items that are too heavy to carry all over the Nimitz store. I called the Hilldale store and spoke to Christinia and she asked "if there were carts readily available". I don't get a cart when only purchasing a couple things "in and out" so to speak. perhaps if I had a cart they would have more to put up the next time. Rude and disrespectful to say the least.

I love dollar general but lately the shelves are ALWAYS bare and there is cart after cart if u stocked merchandise sitting everywhere. It has really gone downhill.

The whole store was in a trashed up mess!Stock boxes were in the isle, merchandise was all over the floor, pieces of paper, wrappers, tags, etc. all over the place. It looked as if it had been ransacked. I left without purchasing anything. It was filthy.

This is one of my favorite stores to shop! That being said, sometimes it's difficult to shop during stocking day because you have to work around so many boxes.

It has a lot more to offer than the Beckley stores that are out of stock on some items And systems going down. I had to walk out of the ones in Beckley.

I ran into use the restroom and the guy looked at me and said it was unavailable and you could tell that it was a lie he just didn't want to go get the key to let me in the restroom poor customer service will not ever go there to that location again
