These cabins are secluded in a beautifully wooded area. We stayed in cabin #1 Blue Paradise. Others in our group were in Green Goddess and Bingo's Bungalow. There is a hiking trail for guests. The cabins are in good condition and were very clean. The hot tubs are in good condition and the water was clean.The upstairs bathroom in #1 needs a bigger sink or smaller shelf hanging over it. You can't wash your face without splashing water all over the floor. The bathroom also needs a towel bar for hand towels. Need another light. You can only see the left side of your head in the mirror.It was nice to have a washer and dryer with detergent and fabric softener supplied. There were a lot of kitchen utensils and other food preparation and serving items on hand. It would be nice to have a bigger knife for chopping. And it would be helpful to have some chip clips. Our mixer didn't work. We borrowed the one from Green Goddess when needed.The propane grill was newer and worked well. A pastry brush for applying sauces and marinades would be useful.There is a very nice fenced in area off the side porch for dogs to run and a fire pit with benches.Over all we were all happy with our stay and would recommend to others.Nearby activities: Be sure to check out the Longpoint Overlook trail. A 1.7 mile trail that is easy most of the way. A little rugged at the end. But the view of the gorge and bridge is worth it. Be careful, it's a long way down.

We loved this place. We had 4 of the 5 cabins so we could all be close to each other.You’re not too far from places like Adventures on the Gorge, Fayetteville, Kaymoor Mines etc (sorry if I spelt these wrong).the kids were able to play out front without risk of cars. One of the cabins had a games shed. All the cabins had hot tubs. Gas, groceries and a bar can be found fairly close.The only thing out of place was the shelf above the sink in the upstairs bathroom. To wash your face you had to crouch down and turn your head at a strange angle, to fit it between the sink and the shelf. Do not try doing this if you have been drinking lol.It is pet friendly and you have your own washer/dryer. We loved it so much we are going to rent all 5 cabins next year.

Top notch getaway! The cabins are the CLEANEST I’ve ever seen! There wasn’t even dust on the walls!The property is so peaceful and private - there are other cabins on site but even with bare trees at this time of year, we felt like we had acres of space between others. The trails were beautiful and they have a adorable picnic area!We came here for our 3 year anniversary and they had champagne and chocolates ready for us and a very clean hot tub on the back porch.The on site staff is so kind and they really make you feel welcomedThe kitchens are STOCKED - better than my own home kitchen. I honestly could write a book about the amazing experience we had here but trust me - you don’t want to miss the chance to experience this place! Bingos cabin even has a game room!Thank you to the entire staff for making this anniversary one for the books, we can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in the Serenity lodge and it was perfect for a family gathering. Plenty of space for everyone, well equipped kitchen, GORGEOUS porch. We enjoyed the hot tub, firepit and the quiet. We were near things to do but felt wonderfully alone in the woods. The furniture is comfortable and homey. This cabin was amazingly clean, no dust, no cobwebs. It is obviously taken care of (though some of the bath towels are really stained and grimy looking, even when fresh washed... prob from ppl using them for cleaning stuff they shouldn't?) Colleen was wonderful to work with, very informative and responsive!I knocked a star off the rating bc of 2 things that will prevent us from booking again1. I am not a pet person, and pets are very welcome at Hemlock Haven. This is wonderful for pet families- but the cabin smelled very strongly of dog, especially in the moist weather we had. They do have space heaters which helped to dry out the smell a bit...but it was still pretty strong, especially downstairs. If you are not a pet person, or sensitive to smell you'll want to be aware of that. 2. There is no cell service. The wifi is great, very strong connection, no issues. But texts and calling from the cabin were pretty impossible. There is a landline, but if you are not looking for a disconnected experience, something to keep in mind.If neither of those are an issue for you, you will have an AMAZING experience. I'd go back in a heartbeat, and probably even overlook the phone issues :) The dog smell though, I can't get past.

Our family was able to get together for Thanksgiving last week and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bingo's Bungalow. Right from the start we were greeted with a tray of cookies and a very nice thank you note for renting this cabin. Everything was fully stocked including ice in the freezer, every cooking utensil you could think of and they even provided a cooking tray for our turkey! The information booklets on the table provided every piece of information you would want to know about the local area. Being from out of town that made it very easy to find things. The game room for this rental was amazing as well! Pool table, foosball, darts and air hockey kept us quite busy. We would highly recommend Hemlock Haven Cabins for your next stay in West Virginia and are looking forward to returning sometime soon.Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

Awesome place to stay to explore the New River Gorge. The cabin was spotless and had amazing amenities. It felt like home while away from home and was in a very private, quiet and beautiful woodsy location. The hot tub was amazing and a great way to unwind from a day full of activity. There is a fenced yard for pets as well. The cabin has everything guy need - full kitchen, laundry, and plenty of hot water. The owners were super easy and nice to book with. We couldn’t have been happier to have chosen this as our home for a few days while visiting beautiful West Virginia!

Clean, newly lovely cabins secluded in the forest yet super close to New River Gorge. The hosts were very responsive and the cabins were well stocked — even great wine glasses & ice bucket! We enjoyed the hot-tub, fire pit and excellent gas grill. The beds were very comfortable and there was lots of hot water. We could definitely stay there again.

Loved Bingo's Bangalow at Hemlock Haven. Very spacious and well kept. Inside of cabin was beautiful and cozy. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you could imagine. Hot tub worked great. We also really enjoyed a nice steak dinner right off the grill and later enjoyed the fire pit (they sell firewood on the property too). Hemlock haven is the perfect amount of isolated where it's both a wonderful escape and still conveniently located for parks, activities etc.

Overall a solid 12 out of 10 will book again! My partner and I stayed in January (6/1 as time of this review) and just happened that 2ft of snow had fell the night before. The snow made it even better! Road was tricky in snow, but nothing a regular vehicle with AWD couldn't handle.The cabin was beautiful and cozy. We were very excited when we first opened the door and saw just how welcoming and relaxing it felt. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed to cook and plenty of linens to keep us comfortable. The cabins are spaced out to give you plenty of privacy even when outside. The cabins are tucked into wooded lots that were beautiful.The hot tub on the back deck was PERFECT especially in the freezing weather. It was easy to cover and uncover, though a mechanical assisted cover lift would have made it even better. Also, due to the weather evaporation was a thing that happened, so we had to fill it a bit, a better system to do so would also be a great upgrade.The owners - WOW. They stayed in contact with me the whole time leading up to the trip. They called before to confirm our arrival. The day of, they called and talked about the weather and the easiest way to drive and navigate the roads leading to the cabin.We are currently talking to friends to plan a couples getaway sometime this year. We would love to all stay in the larger cabin and see how it compares to the smaller intimate cabins.The only negative critique I could give would be the beds. Not so much the mattresses and bedding, but rather the bedframes themselves. A beautiful cabin like this should have a solid bedframe that doesn't slide around on the wood floors.

My family just moved across the country from PA to OK with 3 dogs and 3 cats in addition to 3 family members. It was impossible to find a place to stay overnight but Hemlock Haven graciously agreed to house us for one night in their wonderful cabin. We arrived very late at night and were exhausted after driving all day. We were so pleased and grateful to open our cabin door to find a beautiful Christmas tree all decorated and lit up for us, as well as the rest of the cabin. Our only sadness was that we only got to stay long enough to sleep and get back on the road. The place was heavenly and made us want to stay much longer. And it was perfect for our dogs! They loved the private fenced area to run in. Thank you Hemlock Haven! We hope to come back when we can stay longer!!!

Super nice cabin close to lots of outdoor recreational areas. Cabin #2(Vintage Burgundy) was immaculate! Spent a few days relaxing with the guys and enjoyed the sights, cooked some good steaks on the grill and used the hot tub to melt away the cares of the world. I feel refreshed and ready to get back into it. Thanks for the great stay! Try the Thai pizza in Fayetteville at Pies and Pints for shimp and toasted coconut on a thin pizza crust. I've never had that combo before and will definitely be back to eat and stay again! Great job! The can opener was broke before we got there. Hahahaha

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. nice cabins hot tubs a wrap around patio and fenced in area for pets. the 3/4 mile hike was a nice morning coffee hike...not too scenic but secluded and peaceful. A picnic area seemed under development at the time I was there.Recommended.

We rented 2 cabins for a family reunion and wow, we were so pleasantly surprised at how awesome the cabins were! The staff was wonderful, made reservations a breeze & answered all my questions! Cabins were clean & filled with essentials, so nice! To top it off, have to say the fire pit, gas grill, hot tub & beautiful patio furniture all made it so worth it! Stocked with gas & fire wood! All the families & kids had a great time and we are looking forward to our return visit! Wish we could return every weekend, absolutely a wonderful find! Thank you hemlock Haven Cabins!

Was looking for a cabin to rent for the weekend to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Decided to come here due to the reviews. Upon arrival I realized the reviews and pictures do this place no justice. There was a bottle of champagne, two wine glasses and a box of chocolates on the table when we walked thru the door and the television was playing love songs. Off to an amazing start. The cabin was beautiful with everything you needed. All we had to bring was our food to eat and clothes to wear. The hot tub on the back porch was amazing even in 18° weather. Had plans to go sight seeing but enjoyed the cabin so much we only made it to the store for drinks and snacks. We have went to a new place every year for our anniversary but we have already started discussing coming back for a summer vacation with the family and plan on celebrating many more anniversaries here. Thank you Cindi for the special touches. Your thoughtfulness combined with a beautiful cabin made for a perfect weekend.

We loved our stay at Serenity Lodge. The lodge was absolutely beautiful - so clean and well cared for. There was so much to do right on the property - corn hole, croquet, a huge fire pit, hot tub, hiking trail. They even supplied the toilet paper!!! We will surely go back!!

Hemlock Haven Cabins is incredible. These cabins are the BEST. Everything is fully stocked, and I was very satisfied with our stay. They had every kitchen utensil I needed, matches, tape… all the little things I forgot to bring or overlooked when I was packing. The hot tub was amazing, and if it was clear outside, we would have been able to see the stars! There was a grill, patio furniture, a fire pit, a fireplace, a shovel and scoop for dogs, I mean just everything. There were plenty of towels, a washer and dryer – with detergent! There was a dishwasher with dish-washing soap. Seriously, this was the best cabin we have ever stayed at. And the best part, Cindi put up a “Happy Birthday” banner and balloons for my boyfriend. We don’t eat too much chocolate, and she made chocolate covered strawberries, just for us! I highly recommend them to anyone staying in West Virginia. Their website also gives some great activities to choose from as well. It was a great resource for us to do something fun. If we plan on going back to West Virginia, we will definitely be staying here again. Cindi, thank you for everything!

This was an awesome adventure for two seniors. We stayed in Cabin 2 which is handicap accessible and could not be happier. Everything was clean and comfy. Loved the wrap around porch, so peaceful. Our doggie just loved being free on the porch which opens up to a fenced area which was a good size. Owner is just delightful. Hot tub was perfect. Everything was the best. Lots of beautiful greenery. Hope to return in the fall.

Stayed in cabin 1. Meticulous attention to cleanliness, furnishings and making it feel like home! Could not have wanted anything more. Very pet friendly, even was greeted by owners dog. My dogs are so happy with fenced in yard and hiking trail for them to explore. Have not stayed anywhere more relaxing in years. Close to all area sites but very secluded and private. Can't even see other cabins. Will definately come back here again. Love it!

Second time staying here. It's so beautiful. We loved it so much last yeemae we had to come back.Noteworthy details: The backyard is fenced in with chicken wire so the dog can't get through. This is such a plus and HH is the only place we found that offers this. If your dogs are your family and you can't leave them, bring them with you. They will love it.

Really awesome. Honestly no other words to describe it. Everything you could possibly want and ask for in a cabin experience. Everything very clean, completely stocked and ready to roll the second you walk in. It was such a great experience I have already begun to spread the word. We will DEFINITELY be back for a visit. Our 2 dogs had the perfect set up with the fenced in back yard and spacious grounds.
