We stayed in the "Spencer" cabin, it was very clean & spacious. It had everything we needed to cook for 4 days, the bbq is large & gets very hot, excellent for grilling! The hot tub was easy to use, and remained at 104° - what a nice way to warm up after hiking. Location is perfect, very private, beautiful views, close to everything (short drive to town for supplies & the bridge walk tour. Customer service is excellent - we arrived late but were able to call and get help with directions even after hours. Lovely stay, thank you. Highly recommend and would return.

My wife and I stayed in the tree house for our 44th anniversary. It was so much fun and quite the view. Had coffee on the deck in the morning and enjoyed the view. I would highly recommend it for a relaxing time.Nearby activities: There's a lot of outdoor activities to do in the area.

My boyfriend and I haven't stayed here yet, but as far as service with the front office they are very sweet and accommodating! I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a cabin trip because he has been stressed with work. But a bill came through the day I was also suppose to pay for my reservation. They were gracious enough to let me push it to my next paycheck, even though it was so close to our trip. We are excited to stay here for relaxation, and I will update the review further after our stay.

We've been here 3 times in the last year and each time was great! Cabins are clean and each has it's own unique charm. Kitchens are nicely equipped with dinnerware, cook ware and some seasonings, coffee, etc. Definitely check your pantry before hitting the grocery store (which is five minutes away). Location is convenient to so many things, Summersville Lake, Hawk's Nest Park, New River Gorge, horseback riding, etc. The hot tubs were a hit after hiking, for sure :) Staff is friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning!

My husband and I stayed at in the Love Shack cabin for 7 nights. It was so much better than I had anticipated. The cabin was so clean and cozy. We had a new king size bed that was super comfy, and I am very critical of beds. Full kitchen and large bathroom. Each night it was a toss up between the jacuzzi tub or the hot tub on the porch. On the map, it looked like the other cabins were closer than they actually were, but we were pretty secluded. We take multiple vacations every year, and have stayed at many places. If I could book this cabin at every place we stay, I would. Thank you Country Road Cabins for making our first time in West Virginia that much better!

My husband and I stayed in the Love Shack last week for his birthday. I must say, it exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean, organized, and beautiful. Every encounter we had w/someone who worked there was positive and they were very helpful. They even left a birthday cake in the fridge for my husband <3 The hot tub was amazing and clean also, the cabins were secluded from one another so you have complete privacy. We are already planning our next stay!

We stayed 3 nights for our 36th anniversary and it was perfect! Cabin Laurel was clean and cozy. Centrally located to so many activities! Hot tub was amazing after hiking all day. Owner and staff are so nice and accommodating. We will definitely return!Thank you ~ Linda & Steve

The location of the cabins is perfect. If you are planning to spend your time doing activities around Fayetteville. The cabin itself was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking. My only complaint is that the listing for the cabin did not mention that there was a fire pit and we didn't come prepared to use it. We usually bring an ax to be able to create our own kindling. The hot tub also had a leak and when we told them about it they told us they already knew. If they already knew it would have been nice for them to inform us beforehand at least.

Stayed in the Almost Heaven cabin with my husband to celebrate my birthday before Christmas in December. The location of this cabin is very private. It was exceptionally clean & well taken care of. Christmas decorations made me so happy. Hot tub was amazing. Fireplace was great with plenty of firewood ready for us. Birthday package for $50 was worth the $$. I enjoyed all the goodies & our stay!!

We stayed at the Holly Rock Treehouse and had an amazing experience! It is absolutely fun to stay in a treehouse even in your 30s, the morning coffee on the little porch is a pleasant way to wake up, and the hot tub gets drained and disinfected in between guests. Will be coming back!

Absolutely amazing experience, from the moment we arrived! We chose these cabins, for our anniversary getaway; and upon arrival, had a welcome message with a bottle of champagne awaiting us.The cabins are clean and well maintained, the staff are friendly and attentive; and the ambiance is worth the 4 1/2 hour drive, from Cincinnati!Heather, and her team have an exceptional business, located right near many exciting outdoor adventures!THIS is our new destination location, in the heart of WV! 10 star worthy!

The cabin was very clean and super cute. The staff was extremely helpful and wonderful (Shout out to Anne! She is awesome!) The hot tub was spotless and delightful. They offer a gas grill which was fantastic. They offered complimentary champagne or sparkling cider which was great. They even set it up on a little tray on the bed with some kisses! My husband and i had a wonderful romantic three nights in the holly rock cabin. If i could give more than five stars i would. 10/10

We went glamping here for the first time in the Tropical Sun tent and it was great! Every amenity you could need is included. Hot tub was fabulous after a day of white water rafting and the fire pit had plenty of thin split wood that burned well. King size bed was comfortable and A/C worked great. Highly recommended!

My fianceé and I stayed in the hideaway. This cabin is in a lovely area of West Virginia with plenty to do, especially if you enjoy hiking. The owners provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne as well as two romantic wine glasses adorned with Hershey kisses. A champagne-like bottle of bubble bath soap was next to the heart shaped jacuzzi. There is a gas fireplace inside, a conventional fire pit outside, as well as a propane grill on the back patio. The owners are very responsive during the booking process, and only a phone call away during your stay.The gravel roads within the campground are narrow, and there are a few holes on the deeper side that can't be avoided; so if you drive a lower set car, be sure to slow down to <5mph when going over these holes or you could bottom out.The only negative was the price markup on TripAdvisor. Had we booked elsewhere, we could have saved around $500 for the three nights we stayed, but due to our inexperience with booking we didn't do any "price shopping". Do not book with trip advisor!Overall this is the perfect getaway location for some breathtaking views of the nearby New River Gorge. Whether you're planning a romantic trip with a significant other or a trip with your family, Country Road Cabins has a cabin to suit your needs with plenty to do in the immediate area.

Have you ever just needed a different scenery? Well you came to the right place Country Road Cabins is the best cabins that you will find in West Virginia. I am a single mother raising a son with autism and this place helps him decompress and recharge but hey don’t we all need that from time to time? My son and I come up here as much as we possibly can. I can’t say enough good things about this place the owner and the staff are absolutely wonderful people these cabins are immaculate with having all of the comfort that you have in your own home with a few bonuses like the Jacuzzi. I recommend this place to anyone who just needs a break or some downtime or just need a breath of fresh air. Are you looking to get away but can’t afford a big luxury vacation. I promise you that you’ll not be disappointed at all if you come here and stay a few nights or weeks 😉

Our stay in the Marathon cabin was wonderful. The cabin is in a beautiful, secluded location. It was perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. We hope to visit again! (And I have to add that the bed was VERY comfortable.)

Definitely coming back here, everything was amazing. I made last minute reservation (sorry next time I'll schedule) and they were able to get me in same day at the cabin I wanted. Everything was so peaceful and nice, saw some deer. I think most rooms have jacuzzi but I went with Hideaway which also has heart shaped tub. Whatever you do keep the food local, first night we were disappointed with chain restaurant then just went local rest of our stay and loved it. Can't wait to return when it's warmer out.

This was our first visit to the New River Gorge area and we had a wonderful stay at the Love Shack Yurt.Pre-arrivalBooking a cabin was pretty easy, although it wasn't 100% clear how to indicate that we would be bringing our dog. We wound up confirming his approval after booking - the staff were very helpful.We had no trouble finding the office - there's good signage on US 19 and on Sunday Road.During our stayCheck-in was easy. The narrow gravel roads on the property could be a challenge for especially sporty cars and some of the signage was a little difficult to understand - it could be helpful to have a map of the property on the desk in the office for people to refer to when they check in, and signs at the various intersections indicating which way to go to get to the exit would be very helpful. Definitely plan to arrive before dark - the roads on the property are narrow, unpaved, and not lit. We did not attempt them except when the sun was up.Our cabin was very clean and tidy and exactly as pictured online. We were disappointed that the humidifier had to run constantly, per the note on the fridge - it was very loud and somewhat took away from the otherwise lovely atmosphere in the cabin. There are no outdoor trashcans (because of bears and other wildlife in the area), so bagged trash has to go to one of the two dumpsters on the property.The property is very convenient to the river and national park areas.Check-out was very easy and straightforward.I would recommend staying at Country Road Cabins and we will consider staying there again the next time we're in the area. We had a lovely time!

We absolutely love these cabins! We've been here 3 times, stayed in 3 different cabins and all of them have been beautiful! Aside from the beauty and peace that this place brings, the owner is amazing and the hospitality is incredible. We had an accident while we were here resulting in 2 bent rims, and an undrivable car leaving us stranded at the mercy of our insurance company. They were so accommodating, gave us a discount on the extra day we had to extend our stay. They went out of their way to get us breakfast and even went to Gino's to pick up a pizza for us for dinner. I couldn't recommend them enough and will never forget the way they have treated us throughout this experience! Thank you CRC, we will definitely be back!

We came to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. We stayed in the Tuscany Tree Top Cabin. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and was exactly what we wanted. The staff was super friendly and the cabin had everything we needed to be comfortable for the week. Definitely going to come back again!

We visited last Thanksgiving in the Laurel cabin and it was a fantastic stay. Going again this Thanksgiving with friends. The hot tubs are great, fireplaces are wonderful, and the cabins are spacious and clean. If the hot tub turns off, just unplug it and plug it back in. There are also a bunch of places within driving distance that will be emailed to you upon reservation -- restaurants, breweries, hiking, other outdoor activities, and more. A great place to spend a vacation.

Awesome views. Great location to the New River Gorge. The cabin was rustic just to our liking. The location is very quiet and serene. Setting on the porch you get a sense of returning to nature. Pure tranquility. The hot tub was a great way to witness a sunrise through the trees. Very private. Very memorable 30th wedding anniversary celebration. We drove through to see all the many cabins. We took a few photos for our next return trip. Planning a return visit this spring.

Country Road Cabins was the perfect destination for a relaxing weekend away with friends. Our cabin was impeccably clean, close to many amazing hiking trails and included all of the kitchen tools we needed. When we notified the office of a problem with the hot tub, they sent their kind maintenance manager over to fix it immediately. We will definitely be returning!

We recently stayed here for 2 nights with our family of 4. I can not say enough great things about the cabin. We stayed in Appalachian and the whole family loved it. It was unfortunately chilly during our April stay, but that made the fireplace amazing! The hot tub was perfect. The cabin had everything we could have needed. We can't wait to go back sometime soon!
