Go go go go! If you are ever in this area, such as at North Bend State Park or elsewhere, go here! This is one of the last 5 & dime stores in the country and it’s an absolute gem of a store. There’s something for EVERYONE here. My girlfriend and I easily dropped $40 as did our friends, lol. There’s a lot of old-timey toys and doodads and candies. The woman who was working when we went was very helpful and encouraged us to play with all the toys - we played with some😊 Truly a special place there. So glad we were recommended by the staff at North Bend State Park.

Went to this store today for the experience and got the whole experience! Such a cool store set back in time. Karen was so nice and made the trip worth our while! Highly recommend this hidden gem. So thankful for people keeping these old stores alive!

I was completely floored at how wonderful this place is! The lady running the shop was extremely friendly too. She came over and showed demonstrations on how different toys worked. It was definitely a good time waster!

Had really cool stuff from when i was a kid brought back memories. The woman who works there is amazing. Was a nice vacation spot for me and my family. My aunt is from florida and really enjoyed her visit

Oldest 5 and dime in WV. No, things don't cost pennies, but they have an amazing assemblage of nostalgia items, useful items and just plain fun items. Be sure to check out the back room and its collection of antique glass items.

Love to stop in this place. It's like a step back in time. There is an amazing variety of items from our past that have been forgotten elsewhere. A great place to find unique gifts. Just walking through the place, seeing items that bring back memories, will brighten your day. You will find things that may require the wonderful staff to joyfully demonstrate. It a must visit when in the area, even just within an hour or more.

Be prepared to be bothered the whole time. I just wanted to look around. We were on a time limit. She had my husband doing magic tricks and such. He would get away & she would catch him again. She was nice & some people might of liked that interaction, but I didn't.

It's unique not worth driving 2hrs to see everything over priced poor selection of 80s candy. Thought we would find or see stuff we haven't seen since we were kids.not much of a souvenir store for the town or area. No restaurant there in the next town over.

Update: 10-21-23Also love the candy. The Peach Buttons are delightful along with so many other things. The Grapefruit candy was delish too!Love all the goodies!Love this place! It brings back so many childhood memories! Bought a really neat bird whistle that sounds like birds (when water is added) and the most beautiful kaleidoscope I have ever seen!

It's awesome. A-blast from the past, the last time I was here was 15 years ago I swear the stores over a 100 years old. I recommend it for anybody that's in Harrisville West Virginia. I have droght all my kids here over the years.

A real old fashioned five and dime. Looks like it's right out of the early 20th century. Friendly service! They encourage you to play with the old time toys. A great candy section! You really should make a stop here!

Wonderful childhood memories are stilthl present in this small and quaint establishment. I am 58 years old. The last time I was in this place I was 6 years old. With the exception of where the counter was with the oak barrel of penny candy by the cash register, everything else was exactly the same. The ladies who are running this store were very nice and knowledgeable about everything they were selling. I could have stayed in this store for hours. Thank you for the memories. Very unique store! There's something for everyone in here, and just the novelty of the store alone is worth spending at least 30-45 minutes browsing! They have old toys, gag gifts, WV memorabilia, candy, crafts, and a lot more! The owner is very nice and will even demonstrate or tell you all about something your looking at! It's been there for 111 years (since 1908; older members of my family have memories of the store since they were kids) and I hope it's there for a few hundred more!

Great place to visit if you remember the "old days" shopping at your local 5 & Dime. This store is unbelievably stocked with something for everyone on your list. Kiddos would have a ball in the toy section loaded with both old and new items. Great place for gift shopping and stocking stuffers. The clerk is very entertaining and a wealth of information on all items. Would shop here again and again if I lived in this area.

Stopped by from way outta town. Toronto actually. What an awesome experience. The gals running the place were very entertaining and had many many things to show us. Make sure you ask to see the many toys they have there. If you visit without getting Demos on the toys you have not truly visited.Well done

What a fun place! For the fun, funky, unique and even antique items, Berdine's is the place to shop. Great old building retains its general store atmosphere. Kid friendly for kids of all ages.

Very unique shop. There are not many of these still in existence. I highly recommend at least stopping in and giving it a walk-through. The owner is very friendly!! Definitely glad my girl showed me this little diamond in the rough!
