We love Gilbert West Virginia. The people in the store were so nice and so helpful . We grabbed groceries for our cabin. We were dirt bike riding in the mountains on the field McCoy trails. Fantastic trails to ride there. Stop in the store and grab all your needs for wherever you're staying. The fried chicken was fantastic.

Nice supermarket in Gilbert West Virginia. To my knowledge it's the only supermarket in this town. Friendly staff and great products. They probably have what you need.

Nice store have plenty to pick from and the employees are nice but if you use food stamps you can not buy hot food and the cashiers needs to ask before starting to scan anything what your paying with if they have a big problem with that issue just saying

Very small town grocery store which we like, but the prices for flex the same and that's a little hard to deal with. For the most part the people were friendly and the location is convenient

It's ok for a quick trip of you NEED something. Everything is overpriced. Meats use to be very reasonably priced until coronavirus. However the store is ALWAYS very clean, organized & well stocked. I like their deli food. I know all the staff mostly & they're what makes this store! Shout out to Emily, her mom, Louis & Sherry. Very hard working women!

You better check dates on the meats almost every time. I got so I don't buy her meats until the day I know I want it or going to use no later than the next day. Salad dressing I was buying up every so often when on sell and I got food poison.Since then I am careful about shopping there.Check fruit also, As a person of leader I don’t get why she tries to put out-Dated food out.Its not all bad though.She keeps her workers working..

Hallie Harless ensured that her Foodland is the only grocery store accessable in Gilbert so that she can jack up prices astronomically without repercussion since a lot of people who live here can't always make a trip somewhere else due to gas costs, vehicle trouble, etc. She also has been neglecting the prepackaged food freezers for years now. It's not an uncommon occurrence to find your pizza has thawed, fell to one end of it's box, and been refroze. If you are able, especially if you're here for tourist purposes, I'd recommend the Pic Pac in Man or the SaveALot in Williamson. This old bat does not need nor deserve your money.

I’m from a small town in South Carolina and live in a small town in Georgia, you’d think a small town in West Virginia would have friendly people working there like other small town grocery stores. Boy was I wrong. Just blank stares with no Hello’s, Thank You’s, etc. I guess they don’t care for people from other places. If y’all ever come down to SC or Georgia you would never get treated like that!

Affordable, easy to find grocery store that has everything you need to stock your vacation cabin without spending much money. Just as a word of advice the grocery store does not sell alcohol so any beer purchases will need to be made at the gas station.
