On our way up to Pennsylvania on I-79 and decided to look for a local place to eat. Minney's was not far off the interstate. Glad we stopped. Waitress was great and enjoyed our sandwiches. I had the turkey bacon club with fries and my husband had the Nightmare sandwich ( shaved steak, ham, lettuce, tomato, onions, banana peppers) with onion rings. I also tried the soft serve ice cream. If you are in the area check them out. Just check their website for days open and times.

A quick stop off of 79. Small place with hometown people, food and atmosphere. Daily/weekly specials posted on the boards, don't miss them. We ordered broccoli cheese bites appetizer, they were still hot in the basket by the time our meal arrived. Service was quick.They have breakfast as well.We didn't save room for dessert but they had a few choices that sounded yummy.

We are on a road trip from KY to DC and needed a breakfast stop on our way. The great reviews led us here and it did not disappoint. Great people, great service, and literally some of the best pancakes I've ever had at a restaurant! We have 4 kids and everyone left full and happy.Thank you to whomever anonymously paid our bill as well! We look forward to coming back on another road trip 😍.Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to our kid's requests!

Quaint mom and pop style restaurant. Off the beaten path, as they say,but well worth a stop. Biscuits and gravy with home fries. Excellent! Great service and prices. Can't wait to try the peanut butter pie next visit.

This local hideaway is a hidden gem. Authentic West Virginia style food. Great staff. Usually busy, but always available. Prices are very reasonable and the food is good. It's where the locals go.Pay attention because you can miss it even though it's right beside the road.

We stopped in during a family road trip with our 18 month old expecting a big chain type restaurant and we are so happy it wasn’t what we expected! The food was delicious, and service was fantastic. Definitely smaller than we expected but great place to get some home cooked food, will definitely stop back again when we are in the area! Worth a special stop!

Small diner with a basic menu of burgers/sandwiches/breakfast and about 8 or 10 different dinner plates/ selection of appetizers. The restroom and dining area is very clean. Probably can seat about 25 -30 patrons. My guess is none of the wait staff have ankle monitors or working to satisfy a court order unlike many of the franchise restaurants. Stopped there for breakfast. Delicious food and great memories. I have not been there since before it was a diner, about the time the highway was put in. Pancakes were HUGE!!! Consider sharing a plate if you're a senior or have small children. Coffee was a little weak. Would suggest place mats with a little local history and trivia printed on them.

So ever since I was a wee little lad, My dad used to take these out of state road trips and we would travel the back roads and stop at these little diners and have the open-faced roast beef sandwich and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy.. now a lot of them were great and some of them weren't so great.. maybe the diner before it was just a little bit too better.. so I'm all grown up now and this has been several years later and I go to Minnie's family restaurant and I order this particular entree.. and it is literally the best open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy I've had in a really long time.. oh and did I mention they have a great price on that $7.99

Stopped in here for breakfast after staying in an Airbnb in the area, and we were so happy we did. There's such a pretty view behind the restaurant, and the family feel inside is just what we wanted. The waitress was fantastic and the food did not disappoint. I made sure to buy a Tshirt as well. Would love to go back if wee visit the area again.

On Monday 10/10/2022:Blessed to find Minney's Family Restaurant. Just off the interstate 64 in West Virginia. Comfortable family surroundings, family centered with home style cooking.Food was great. Ordered my "go-to" food, which just happened to be on the "special of the day) board. Country steak, home pan potatoes, 2 eggs, and buttered toast.Service pleasant, courteous, and engaging. Must see. Beautiful overlook of the quiet river.
