I visited The Spot during my last visit to Flatwoods, WV. I enjoyed a “Flatwoods Monster” sandwich. A cozy lil’ mom & pop restaurant in the middle of Appalachia. It has a small dining area inside with tables & booths. As well as a outside dining area with tables & chairs. The menu had a nice selection ofAppetizers, wings, salads, ice cold drinks & their signature UFO saucer sandwiches. The food was hot & fresh, absolutely delicious! The staff were very polite & friendly. There was even a sign where you could put your face through & take a picture with the Flatwoods monster to remember your visit. I very much enjoyed my experience there, I know you will too.

Everyone loved the food! The burgers are huge and my husband, mom, and stepdad said they were amazing! I had the chicken basket and it came with so much chicken! My daughter said the corn dog was the best! The fries were the best! The workers were nice especially Owen! Definitely one of the best places we've stopped at on a trip!

My daughter Noel and I went to Flatwoods WV for the scavenger hunt to the 5 Flatwoods Monster Chairs. While at Location A, we saw across the street a large billboard talking about The Spot.This was the SPOT for the first sighting of Flatwoods Monster in 1952. Now its a Dairy Bar & Tanning Bed.There is outside seating and a Billboard that allows another local flavor for a photo opportunity. You can stick your heads into the cut out holes. My daughter enjoyed trying it out!!!At the Dairy Bar, I ordered a West Virginia style Hot Dog with chili, slaw and onions and a large Pepsi. Noel went with appetizer basket of fried pickles, fried mushrooms and Mozzarella sticks with ranch and marinara along with Mt Dew.We enjoyed our food outside but it was breezy.The Hot Dog was good not the best but good. The slaw was sweet and runny, but had a good taste.I would eat here again. They also sell Flatwoods Monster souvenirs and you can get some time in a tanning bed....

6/10/23 Need a better ticket operation. Ex.put names on the ticket so you know what food goes to who. Waited over 30 minutes to get our food, 2 chicken strips baskets. Had to ask about our food. I assumed that someone else outside had ordered the same thing and got mixed up, the latter; of taking their time, serving ice cream to other people. Food was good, chicken was a little crispy.

I've eaten here a few times over the past few years, most recently this past weekend. The food is good and very reasonably priced. The staff is really sweet and everything was really clean. I like the touristy touches with the signage, and monster themed menu choices and merch, and the close proximity to one of the monster chairs. The only thing preventing a 5 starreview is simply the space...or lackthereof. Even with outdoor seating available, there's just not a lot of room for all the people that want to stop in and check this neat little restaurant out.

Awesome food. Italian sandwich is the best and the monster burger is so tasty. Our family always stops there to eat when we are passing through. We try a different menu item every time, and have liked everything we’ve eaten. I would highly recommend stopping here. It’s worth it.

Very nice service, charming atmosphere and great food! The guy at the window even offered my grandma's dog a pup cup ❤️ would definitely recommend this place for a good sandwich and milkshake!

My dad had a cherry shake, burger, and fries while I had a hot dog, and fries the food was delicious what I found even more refreshing was the service we received. The young people working were just wonderful.

My friends and I ate sandwiches and pizza, which were all incredibly delicious and great portion sizes. The food takes a while to come out, but I'm guessing that's due to the freshness of the meals. The prices are also very low and agreeable. The pizza and a few appetizers were the only vegetarian options, but the veggie toppings tasted very fresh. If I lived in the area, I would eat here constantly.

The Spot Dairy Bar, located in Flatwoods, WV, isn't my family's first choice for our ice cream run. This is mostly do to its geographic location away from our home. The Spot's food is pretty good for a quick bite though, and they have plenty of options to choose from to satisfy everyone's craving. They do NOT, however, have multiple flavors of ice cream to choose from, and their ice cream machine was out of order on our last visit. The Spot has a drive thru, walk-up window, and outdoor and indoor service which is a bonus feature. They also have multiple tanning beds, which my wife uses, and a car wash that seems very popular. I didn't give it 5 stars because one of the service personnel always seems to be in a bad mood. She is usually just a little shy of being completely rude, but nothing is perfect so please don't let this stop you from giving it a try. So far we have tried their cheese burgers, pizza, crispy chicken salad, vinnalla ice cream cone, root beer float and French fries all of which has been very good.

I have been coming to flatwoods for ten years finally stop here to eat. Stood at window for over ten minutes before anyone took time to talk to me. Then I was asked do I want ice cream. I said no I wanted to order food. I was then told it will be a while there's two ahead of you. No order was taken they was only frying two hamburgers. They was more interested in talking to each other than a customer. All I know is the owners need better employees. I will never attempt to stop there again.

Neat SPOT! They make a good burger and UFO. It's a little overpriced but the quality is consistent and they're always friendly. Check out Braxxie and get a photo while enjoying a meal or treat.
