We had a few different dishes which all tasted fresh and were well prepared. Our consensus was everything lacked a bit of flavor, but regardless we enjoyed dinner and the atmosphere was light and fun.Our waitress forgot a couple of the items we asked for, no big deal she was super nice and doing her best with a busy crowd. We waited a while on dessert as well since she forgot to put that order into the kitchen. The fried ice cream was rich and probably the best part 👍

Staff was super friendly, helpful, and responsive to our needs. Food was delicious and menu full of good options. Portions were large and prices very reasonable.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options without meat, owner advised they would substitute tofu for any protein, they accommodate vegans as well. Few selections, but they're there.Kid-friendliness: Staff was great and friendly with the kids

Rude waiter with long wait times and abysmal service.The most subpar, flavorless Mexican cocktails and food I've ever eaten or drank.My first time experience with Birria tacos was lackluster to say the least.I could've spent less money for better quality elsewhere.Disappointing that this is located in Fayetteville which is considered a WV foodie pinnacle.

Experience:Came in and was greeted/seated quickly! The staff were friendly and attentive! After being seated we ordered drinks and appetizers which were served promptly. We did wait 20+min for our food but the waitress came by and said “you’re food will be out soon, I apologize for the wait.” Which was very kind. The atmosphere was good! Clean, good lighting & good music. The tables are a little crammed.Food:The ceviche was very good! The salsa threw me off as it was very sweet, and the cheese dip was quite bland. Street corn was fairly bland, and the cactus also didn’t have much flavor. The quesabarrias were delicious though! Portion sizes were great! The kids grazing plate was comical as I thought it would come with cubed pineapple and tomato, but rather it was two slices each. The fajitas are good, a bit light on the seasoning and veggie to meat ratio was a little off. Overall great presentation of the food but nearly everything could’ve used more seasoning.Final decision of three stars is because they don’t have many hot sauce options or spicy options in general. Taste, presentation, and cleanliness were 10/10. I would go back multiple times. Service was kind of awful, I felt our server was very distracted and we were a bother, never came back to our table to check on us and we had to find her to get our ticket and pay (it was a really slow afternoon so it wasn't a big deal).Pictured is the birria burrito, I would absolutely get this again, they have this option for nachos and quesadillas too. My friend got a protein bowl, she said it tasted great and the presentation was pretty, they allow you to double the protein options so she got steak and shrimp.

Best dining experience we’ve had in a long time! Great team that got us seated immediately and served very quickly. Very well priced and the food is authentic and tastes so good. Family friendly and a merry atmosphere. They brought out a complimentary sampler sauces and salsa plate. Also tried their cheesecake desert and strawberry sauce which was fantastic. Marcos is an amazing host and great guy who made our dinner personalized and delightful.

First and foremost the customer service here is the best I have ever received in the 40 plus years I have been on this planet. Marcos and everyone else went above and beyond and treat you like family. With the way the world is today, that kind of kindness is so needed!!! The food is just as good!!! The drink, the homemade sauces, the margaritas, everything was top notch. I wish I lived in the area I would be there all the time. I travel for business, this restaurant is in my top 5 places I have ever been to. Thank you so much and keep up the great work! It is not easy to own a business today, especially a restaurant. In the world of everyone being a critic and writing reviews that can hurt the small business owners and your fellow man. There is a time for 1 star review but I can assure you this place doesn't deserve it. I have no relationship with anyone at this restaurant. I am however a business owner from Florida and am thankful I no longer deal with the general public. They can be ruthless.

My family and I stopped here during a road trip from SC to PA. The food and service were great, a special shout-out to their salsa. It's really good.After we arrived in PA my wife realized she left her wallet at this restaurant, 4 hours away from us. She called and they were extremely helpful. They overnighted the wallet to our next step and really saved our trip. This is a reflection of the type of people running this store. Thank you, sincerely

Firstly , I ordered shrimp fajitas and a beer. Had to ask 3 times for my beer. Food was plentiful. Shrimp was blah, but husband loved his pork dish. Waitress never checked on us and reason was, out back she was sitting on the chefs Lap making out !!! Unreal.Husband saw her when returning from bathroom. Then when we got our check had to find her to ring us up. She was on her phone. Needless to say no tip and I told why on my way out. She just copped an attitude. I hope she learned something.

We stumbled upon this place while visiting the nearby New River Gorge NP. This place is a gem that is hard to find even in much larger towns. Excellent margaritas, we tried the cucumber jalapeno margarita and the dragon fruit margarita special, both were delicious and super fresh. We shared Birria nachos and steak fajitas and both were delicious and quite filling (there were 2 of us after a full day of hiking). Service was friendly, expedient and quite generous with the awesome chips and salsa. Only thing that can be improved is the veggies that came with the fajitas, they were a bit soggy. We'll definitely eat there again if in the area!

We stopped in tonight to have dinner and sat at the bar. Matt made us a yummy Irish Margarita, Modella, and Mezcal tequila shot. Great drinks! We had the ceviche appetizer, pico lime chicken and shrimp/chicken The food was great! Big portions! This is such a fun place! Great food, great service! We highly recommend it!! A great place to relax and enjoy after a day of hiking! We even got one of the cool beer glasses to take back to TN!

Delicious vegan options!! The tofu nachos were so good that we had to go back the next day for more! Their grilled tofu is very flavorful and we were surprised to find that they had vegan cheese for the nachos and a delicious chipotle lime sauce!They also let us customize the black bean tacos to add tofu and vegan cheese.Friendly staff and delicious vegan food! We’ll be back next time we’re in the area!

Wow! Steak chorizo tacos were excellent. Good size portion. Very fresh. Salsa nice and thick consistency. Mr Pibb to drink. Marcos & Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Potatoes and chorizo dinner with ranchero sauce was excellent. We saw this place on Google maps and it was close so we took a gamble and it paid off.

Legitimately the best Mexican food I've ever had. 100/10 don't waste time just go here! Also, as a vegetarian, I have never seen so many vegetarian options on any menu before, very impressed, very full, very happy!Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian options, including tofu, beans, potatoes as options in place of meat, not just removing meat from the meal like usual places.

Hands down the best Mexican restaurant we have been to! We were served a complimentary plate of their house-made sauces, as well as some of their meats. During our lunch, our waiter also brought us each a free t-shirt, and ended our meal with a complimentary sweet bread dessert, which was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly. While some reviews may say the food is bland, if you don’t have Gordan Ramsey as your personal chef, then there is no room to complain.Quesabirria tacos and prickly pear margarita are a must!

We were a very large party and the staff was patient and accommodating. Food was authentic Mexican and delicious! Waiter/ possibly owner, gave us many free samples of different homemade items.Don’t skip on the cheesecake… it’s homemade and so is the tequila caramel sauce— don’t skip it! Get it to go if you have to!

We just had an amazing meal at Don Rizo's! Everything is made in house and it shows. We ordered from all over the menu and we're very pleased! The kids meals were just right for my 7 year olds. The queso was a great add on while waiting for our meal. The street corn has a small kick of spice to it, yum! Pictured are the street steak tacos. Strawberry margaritas were delicious. Our only disappointment was we were too full to have their fried ice cream! Staff is very friendly, the restaurant was also very clean.

Best Mexican food I’ve ever had! We were snowed in and hungry and they gave us the warmest welcome that was the definition of southern hospitality. We were given a trip to flavor town with all of their in house made sauces, meats, drinks and breads. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be their chips and salsa!Vegetarian options: Tofu options and many veggie dishes!
