Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and didn’t have any trouble getting a table. The staff was very kind and patient with us as we pondered the many great items on the menu! You honestly can’t go wrong with anything you order, but we especially loved the sandwiches, chocolate chip pancakes, and coffee! Highly recommend stopping by this hidden gem and even taking some time to visit the gift shop that’s on the second level.

I liked this place but wasn't completely blown away. They have what I assumed is a grab and go fridge for food but it's towards where food is prepped so if you're just there for takeout you don't really walk that way. When I walked in I started towards that but was called over by a staff member who was on her way to the register at the front door so I didn't really see it until after ordering. After ordering you'll pick drinks up from the bar in the back but food will be brought to you in the front. It just seemed like everything could be brought up front. The pecan (I think?) coffee cake I had was great and their cold brew was a perfect match with it. I also had the hummus and vegetable baguette. The spread was super tasty on it but the rest of the sandwich was kind of lacking. It may have been too little filling for how much bread there was, or that the veggies inside were raw and didn't pack an insane flavor, I'm not sure. While I waited for my order I noticed a drinks fridge towards the front and that merchandise is scattered throughout the front half of the building. There's a good amount of indoor seating and outdoor is offered as well. All in all I'd probably stop here again but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

The food was great, prepared with fresh ingredients. The workers were all friendly and efficient. The building is very unique, being a former church which they capitalized on the stained glass windows and other "church" architectural elements. We were there at lunch time so it was consistently busy but our wait to be seated wasn't long. Our wait for our food was longer than we expected but the food proved to be worth the wait! Not sure if they usually have a/c but it didn't seem to be working when we were there. We ordered a BLT which included their homemade herb mayonnaise (delicious!) and the loaded chicken salad croissant which was also very good. Soup came with the BLT and we chose the chicken white chili bean soup (or something like that) which was good though a bit spicy.

Staff was friendly and they have a great looking menu. They have a full list of coffee, some wine/beer/cocktails and soft drinks. We caught them on an off day and only about half of the menu was available. They were out of a lot of food. My panini came out hot and was good. The egg, bacon, and cheese bagel was okay but it was kinda dry. Get one of their fancy pep rolls. It was the best part.

Loved this place! If you like cafes like this, check out a similar one in Brunswick, MD. For this place, was able to take work calls here, good wifi for those working on the go, great coffee & food. Ordered house coffee for my husband and the protein vanilla latte for me. Came back twice within the long weekend. Breakfast sandwiches and soups were amazing- great flavors, cooked well, will be back again!

This place was awesome, and a perfect way to start our morning after having camped nearby. The atmosphere was super comfy and the continental-style breakfast and coffee was just what my body needed. The merch they were selling was also all fun and I'd buy something next time I visited. Definitely recommend to anyone coming through the area!

Good artsy atmosphere. Easy to get to. The food was good and plenty of beverage options. When you go in there’s menus on a small table. You then place your order with a staff member who gives you a number. Take the number and sit down where you want… then when you’re order is ready they bring it out to you. There’s indoor and outdoor seating or you can do takeout.

We went today and did the Bridge Walk tour and our guide recommended the Cathedral Cafe. It sounded very interesting so we decided to give it a try. We loved it! The smoked Turkey, Bacon & Avacado Panini was delicious, everything tasted very fresh, the bread was soft and crisp in the right places, the avacado added a nice creamy texture, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend got the Loaded Chicken Salad Croissant, and the croissant was enormous. The chicken salad looked excellent and the croissant was very buttery and flaky. The restaurant itself looked very nice inside. It's set up in an old church (which explains the name) and the stained glass from the old church is still there and adds a beautiful touch. We got our food to go so we didn't get to spend much time in the restaurant itself, but we'll have to fix that next time we're in the area. Very cool little place, and we'll definitely be back.

I had high expectations for the Cathedral Cafe & Book Store during our visit to Fayetteville. They have gluten free bread, which was nice because my wife has intolerance to gluten. Unfortunately our order took so long given to rush hour in asnowy day—what started a takeout had to turn into a dine in experience with our children. My croissant with ham, cheese and egg was okay, wish it could have been more roasted. The dining space is big and welcoming.

Great place to stop for food. My party ordered hummus and pita, a Caesar salad, a chicken salad croissant, a quesadilla, and the chipotle philly. For dessert, we ordered a berry cobbler, carrot cake, and turtle cheesecake. It may not be believable, but (almost) EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious.Took a star off because the Caesar salad was disappointing and can only be described as the most untraditional, weirdest Caesar to ever be made/eaten. It included spinach and a unique salad vinaigrette - it was just weird. In addition, the size portion of the salad was very small. Over all it was not enough to justify it's $11 price. My favorite thing on the menu was the cheesecake (which is the best cheesecake I've had to date and totally worth the $8's). Everyone in my party agreed it was very good, but they ultimately loved the carrot cake the most because they are not cheesecake fans.Overall, a great establishment and we will be returning.

Cool atmosphere! The chicken salad croissant was delicious!! I’d never had one with cranberry jelly before, and I loved every bite. I also enjoyed seeing all the puppy dogs and so glad that the place is dog friendly.

This is such a wonderful way to repurpose an old building (much more useful than the way it was originally used). The design and atmosphere is great - the stained class and book cases really set it apart from other cafes. The food is pretty good. I had a carnivore frittata and enjoyed it. The coffee bar is where it's at, though. They had all sorts of ways to spice up your regular ol' cup of Joe. They also have sugar free options - syrup and coffee flavorings.Check it out if you're in the area. It's not too far from some good hiking and rafting.

What a great concept for a cafe. Ordered the tofu scramble. Tasty, flavorful nuggets of tofu with vegies and potatoes. A spicy salsa comes with and adds a little punch. Too busy talking; forgot the food pics. 🤦‍♀️Vegetarian options: Tofu breakfast scramble

One of the most popular places in Fayetteville. Expect a longer wait time especially during the weekend. Prices are very reasonable and service is quick. We really loved the latte and banana pudding cheese cake. Breakfast items were mediocre. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and potatoes were too peppery. The decor and Ambience makes it very unique and picturesque especially since it was a church before.I would highly recommend adding Cathedral Cafe to your itinerary if you are visiting New River Gorge National Park.IG: journey_man16

What an amazing little find. My family and myself stopped here on our way back home from a trip to Pittsburgh.I got the chicken salad croissant and I was not disappointed. My family grabbed several different sandwiches and they all looked amazing and got great reviews from each individual.I also grabbed a specialty iced latte as well and it was very good. Please keep up the good work, we will be stopping here again soon! Highly recommended!!

The food, decor, and staff at the Cathedral Café combine into the perfect brunch experience. I ordered the Asiago Bagel w/ Cream Cheese, the Huevos Rancheros Grits Bowl (available on weekends only), and a Mimosa. Everything was exactly as I could have hoped it would be, and with super friendly and fast service, I will definitely be bringing friends next time!

I have been to Cathedral for breakfast and lunch several times, but this was my first time experiencing one of their dinners. Experience it definitely was! The special Valentines weekend dinner was superb, the always wonderful ambience of the place was transformed into a romantic atmosphere, and the service was excellent. We dined early to avoid a crowd and were one of three tables. However, it felt as intimate as if we were dining privately with our own personal chef and waitstaff. Special holiday touches like heart-shaped rolls and strawberries were a lovely surprise. If you haven't decided where to dine for V-Day, Cathedral will not disappoint!
