The people here are incredibly friendly. They have people to check you out with your purchases who are friendly and help you. They have great deals with the Food lion card. I saved a lot of money going there and even got Home style Campbell's soup on special for a dollar a can! The employees even offered to help us with our groceries even though it was snowing when we there. They even told us to be safe. It was so friendly and welcoming there. I now stop on sometimes when I go see my father. Great store

Live in a neighboring town but drive to this store for the variety of products, ORGANIC produce (thank you!), floral/garden center, hot bar, sale prices, the clean store, friendly and helpful staff and to avoid the madness at other stores. This store has everything all the bigger stores have and more. I really can’t say enough about this store. Just wish they’d open more, like Hedgesville to give Martins some competition! :) OH I forgot to tell you my favorite part!! They have sanitizer wipes right next to the meat!!! Seriously, I took a picture! Go look. How smart is that?! Lol I literally fear the meat section in some stores. That’s it, go check it out for yourselves. :)

What I'm about to say is both disappointing and annoying. I saw this store being built, I've been coming here since they first opened their doors. I've seen many employees come and go, there are still a few there that's been there from day one.Since they have started the self checkout lanes the vibe in there is different. I'v given them the benefit of the doubt before I notified management, I even stopped going for a while because of how it made me feel. I started going back because it's convenient, but I noticed that people of color are watched more heavily at the self checkout line. I observed it and experienced it myself and after the third time it happened I notified mangement.Present day, it still happens and is so obvious. I would like to go into what I consider my neighborhood grocery store to shop in peace and to pay for my items in peace. Not every person of color is a thief, while you are watching us, someone else could be robbing the store blind when you have your eyes on the wrong people. Please give people grace when paying for their items, don't congregate around them in conversation with your coworkers to play off the fact that you are watching. Maybe you all should have something set up in the back to watch people at self checkout if you HAVE to watch, I think it would be better if it's not seen than to be so blatantly obvious. It's not a good feeling to be watched like a hawk just because of your skin color. I know that Food Lion has a reputation of being a racist place in the south, but this is not the south, not that it makes it right but please do better, in general.

Our favorite grocery store to shop. Says it all. Superb staff. Never saw one here that was mean, rude or not helpful.Store is always spotless clean and well maintained. Never a large line at checkouts, and they don't limit you to self checkouts.

The produce section is always pristine & produce so good. Actually the whole store is super clean. Staff is helpful, the butcher cut steaks freshfor me.

For Food Lion, it's great. Organized, clean, safe, and the team members are always friendly and helpful. My photo is from the parking lot (who takes pictures in a grocery store?) over my neighborhood, looking West. I'm telling you, the sunset sky always looks pretty from the parking lot here!

The interior is clean and nice. The produce is fresh and affordable. Would definitely recommend fresh fruits and veggies from here. The only reason for the four star is because they usually only have one or two lanes open with cashiers, so you mostly have to use self checkout, but the self checkout machines rarely work. Otherwise, great store.

I really like this Food lion location. It is really clean and the selection is really good. I tend to go here for the veggies. It’s always fresh and tons of options. The Deli staff are always so helpful when I’m getting cheese and lunch meat. Of all the locations, this is my favorite so far. Never had any issues with service, always pleasant and swift. I usually go to the self checkout. Their clerk that attends to the machines is so sweet. She is very friendly and always making sure I have what I need. I just wished I remembered her name. Good customer service is rare these days, but it’s abundant in this Food Lion :)

Store is clean and well-stocked. As with most stores now, prices are very high, but one can always manage to find some real bargains; I found sales on frozen Green Giant vegetables, Marie Callenders and Michelle's meals and a store brand white loaf bread ($1.37). Also, they have 2 liter soda (I assume it's a Food Lion Brand) for $1.25- I recommend the orange and strawberry. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. The store has 4 automated carts; I appreciate Food Lion being handicap-friendly as I am recuperating from surgery. I will gladly return to store on a regular basis!

I ordered a rosette cake. Meaning the whole cake would be covered in roses. When I went to get the cake they tried to give me the blue and red mess.Even the lady giving it to me looked horrified. I asked her what that was and where were the roses. She looked as confused as I was and got deli/bakery manager. The manager then tells me I ordered wrong. (I make cakes myself, so I assure you I did not) however the girl that took the order seemed new and confused. I had to explain to her what butter cream icing was and also explain 3 different times their would be no icing showing. Just the rosettes. She said if they had any questions they would call. Never did I receive one call and when I spoke with the manager by the name of Valerie who then told me ,I messed up not them and those were roses. "Rose's without petals " were her exact words. I finally spoke to a manager of the store after Valerie refused to get one. The actual manager went above and beyond to try and make it right. (Ray sullivan) That did not stop my disappointed 4yo from saying "well for my next birthday can I have my blue cake". The store as a whole is great. But stay away from the deli and bakery or you will end up ordering a cake that was made by a 5yo. The icing was literaly falling off the sides as well as blank holes throughout. So let's say it was covered in "roses without petals" lol why are their gaping holes and icing sliding off the cake? I personally would not want a manager who curses at customers and walks away refusing to fix their own mistakes running any part of my store. An for the rest of the bakery employees who laughed in my face as the store manager cursed at me and walked away leaving me with no cake and refusing to allow me to see the order form to prove it was not my mistake. I hope you all have the same experience on your child's birthday.

Awesome grocery store. Contains a wide variety of produce including some that are hard to find elsewhere. Usually always clean and tidy and sell good quality items. They have a fresh fish and meat stand where you can buy by the pound sushi grade fish. Good store especially if you live close by.

If you go later at night, the only check out option is Uscan. This is made difficult when you have a large cart full. The Uscan bagging area is tiny.I find it best to get a 2nd cart, and after scanning a few items, letting the Uscan area "sense" it, put the completed bag in the 2nd cart.The other thing that is annoying is the employee overseeing the Uscan area circles constantly, staring at you like you're trying to rob Fort Knox.Here's an idea Food Lion: after 10pm, when you aren't that busy, have that employee, oh I don't know, ACTUALLY RUN AS CASHIER AND CHECK PEOPLE OUT SO WE CUSTOMERS DON'T HAVE TO DO THEIR JOB.

My go to place for anything authentic on this side of the panhandle. I enjoy their international section. My ethnicity is Liberian and nothing speaks more to my soul than visiting a grocery store in a rural area, and finding an item that I would normally drive hours to obtain! Way to offer service to your minimal but very diverse demographic!!

I GO TO THIS STORE OFTEN . TONIGHT 10/20/23 AT 10 PM ONE OF THE FRONT DESK MANAGERS IS HACKING AND CIUGHING WHILE WALKING AROUND THE STORE THAT IS SOO DISGUSTING. ALSO RUBBING AND WIPING AT HER NOSE BUT NEVER STOPS TO WASH HANDS JUST KEEPS TOUCHING REGISTERS . IF YOU SHOP WIPE OFF ALL ITEMS LIKE DAYS OF COVID !! 02/25/2024 THE HAVE STOPPED MAKING THE ROTISSERIE CHICKENS ARE NOT GOOD ANYMORE..LUCKILY THEY ARE FOR MY DOGS .
