Had a wonderful experience.Laura, the on site manager is second to none. Her courtesy and professionalism in the hospitality industry is exceptional. You're blessed to have her there. You'd be wise to make sure you not only take care of her, but make sure she's part of your team, even in higher positions than she currently is fulfilling.Respectfully,James J. Hamrick

Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.I reviewed this hotel about a year ago when they had no clean towels all weekeend except for what was in our room when we arrived. After that experience I said I would never stay here again. However, due to a dance competition in town it was the only place in town that could accomodate all of us.The rooms are small but they are clean and modern.Amenities:There's no lounge area. There are no electrical outlets in the lobby seating area or the breakfast area. Business travelers don't have many choices. The workout room has 3 cardio machines. There's no swimming pool.Food:They a have a juice dispencer with 4 spouts but only 1 is stocked. Only 2 types of cereal and oatmeal. The hot beakfast was frozen sausage and eggs from a box. They didn't have waffles because the "waffle truck" hasn't been here in weeks? There weren't even any plates to use for food.

NASTY! Room was filthy. Stains on the stools and chairs. Stains on the bedding skirt and accent. Carpets did not appear to be vacuumed and were also stained. Fixtures were coming apart and loose on the wall. Heater was broken and would not shut off. So with it 25 degrees outside, we set it at 58 and it was so hot I couldn’t sleep. The mattress had no cover under the sheets and was stained and gross ( saw this when we woke up the sheets were untucked ). Mattress worn out, sagged in the middle and very uncomfortable. The cable box was a disaster and the remote would not turn the TV on or off. Staff was friendly but seemed bothered when I told them about the room. Their room key programmer took almost 10 minutes to key two rows on keys. Owners need to close and renovate this dump. Best part about the stay was a clean hot shower and when I checked out. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

We stayed here early February 2024 as our 1st try with Microtel. We sincerely hope there are no other Microtels similar to this one. We've had dogs all our years and never been exposed to the amount of dog waste in the grass on both sides of the entrance / registration. Unbelievable! What door do the employees enter to not notice? Ok, so now we know to stay on the paved areas as we prefer clean shoes. Rooms are average. I used to milk cows and still wake up way too early. Fortunately I went to the breakfast area and watched our morning meal being prepped. Yikes! Had anyone taken Food Safety training? For our money we may have had a more suitable choice.NOT RECOMMENDNearby activities: Against my religious beliefs - one of those protestant books was forced on us.It's interesting to have a "lounge" just across the parking lot.Easy access to lots of stores and food places.

Room was generally ok but needed some maintenance. Sink and shower was extremely slow to drain, tap in Sink was loose. Common areas were quite dirty eg elevator doors and walls, walls around light switches, door knobs covered with dirty fingerprints. Locks on entry doors didn't work. Floors in breakfast area were badly in need of a vacuum. Friendly lady at check in.

Absolutely horrible experience. Rooms are in nice shape but service is just unbelievable. Had extended stay and have been over charged twice by hundreds of dollars within two weeks and can’t get a refund and are blaming it on my bank when my bank has not seen any kind of refund attempted. Will not clean your room I’ve asked multiple times for a cleaning throughout the week finally just ended up asking the front desk for the vacuum myself to do it. Breakfast is hardly ever served, waffles are always there but that’s it, always out of all juices and the syrup for the waffles… Not a very good experience at all and would not recommend.

I am originally from fairmont and my husbands a trucker. We decided to stay here on our hometime over the holidays. Stayed 7 days and 6 nights. Stephanie at the front desk was AMAZING ! As was Brenna I believe her name was. However we had a terrible experience with a lady named Jessica, she was constantly talking about weed, complaining when asked questions, she told me to call Wyndham myself to make sure I was getting my rewards because it was too much work for her, she was in the hallways at 1am yelling at another guest because he was knocking on all our doors and she was just all around not helpful and somewhat offensive with her comments . When asked to extend our check out time to 1pm she charged us another night in the hotel over drafting our account.Rooms: We’re very big and nice, bed wasn’t the most comfortable but it was okay.Nearby activities: Plenty of nearby things to do, by several restaurants, strip mall, and Walmart.Safety: Didn’t feel very safe on a couple nights of our stay as Jessica allowed a mentally ill patient to be brought in by a cop. He harassed my husband in the lobby and then proceeded to bang on all the doors on our floor yelling. Then another night I complained about a bunch of workers in the lobby drinking and making me uncomfortable everytime I went outside and was told oh well.Noteworthy details: Stephanie was such a sweet kind helpful lady ! Absolutely loved speaking with her and getting help from her. She is the reason we will be back!

Their website says $62.00 per night. I couldn't get reservations online, so I called. They said they have rooms available. Went to hotel for the room and was told it would be $165 plus tax. This was because of a football game at WV tech. They want to charge over $100 more because of a game. I showed them their website that clearly states $62.00. Woman at front desk was pretty short and would not let me have room for advertised price and told me to go to the next town.I will never recommend this hotel to anyoneNearby activities: Alot of construction

I don't have much to say I went there for a business meeting/hiring event when I was let into the only meeting room they had there was a ton of flies I went to the front desk and told the manager on duty she looked at me like I had 3 heads but she did get a staff member to go check the situation out let's just say he freaked out but he did take care of the situation promptly and cleaned the room in a very short time. I will say if you do have a problem they will take care of it in a very short time (they are on top of it) they couldn't apologize enough I would definitely recommend trying to rent a room and giving it a shot the staff is top notch and friendly

Tl;drWell other than the moat its a pretty nice hotel. You’ll be safe from any surprise sieges. 10/10 would stay here againFirst impressions:Not very good, mainly the parking lot. When i arrived the first thing i see is a big ole watering hole. I didnt know how deep it was so i pulled off the road a little ways down looking for other entrances. After looking at the maps i realized i’d have to drive through it. It was about a car’s length from the main road to the hotel parking lot. If you keep going straight you will encounter a deep rut. If you go right you gotta dodge some potholes. 3 stars for location due to this, its not in a bad spot, lots of places to eat nearby/shop, but not a good parking lotParking:Well lit parking lot with lots of potholes a trench and a moat. Parking spaces wise they have plenty of room assuming you can park correctly and not crooked. They have spots all around the hotel.Lobby:The interior of the hotel is pretty standard. Everything is easily findable (breakfast Area and gym) compared to most other hotels ive stayed at. The staff is very responsive and nice.Room:The door to my room was sticking(?) took a bit of effort to push or pull and it was loud. Seemed like the hinges were starting to sag. Other than that the room was very nice. The one i stayed in was 1 queen room. It had a little kitchen area and a bar(? Table) with stools. It had a couch and a little divider. The couch had a few mystery stains on it, but otherwise fine. I loved the little cushion window thing. It also had an office desk. In terms of noise it wasnt too bad. I could hear my neighbors talking but i just think they were loud people. There was a dog that would not stop whining that everyone on my floor could hear. That was later dealt with. The room was very spacious.Bathroom:They give you shower gel, moisturizer, shampoo, conditioner, and makeup remover in the bathroom. The bathroom was very spacious, but you gotta do some gymnastics to reach the toilet paper from the toilet, its a bit far away. It had a working hair dryer with high and low settings and a cool setting but you had to keep pushing it in (i think most hair driers are like that??)Seating area (room):The seating area was nice, the stools were kinda heavy but they were comfortable. The coffee machine make okay coffee, but the lids already had coffee stains on them before i even used the machine. Possibly from splashing the coffee machine loves to do that when its nearing the end of its process. The microwave was louder than expected but was easy to use and cleanGym:They had a bike, elliptical, treadmill, and some weights, i think up to 20lbs or was it 15. They are kettle bells (round ones with handle) 5lbs was the lightest weight. Not a bad place, ive seen worse gyms.Overall:Very nice place for its price point, not very hard to find, near lots of food places and shops, nice field beside it to walk your animals. Just watch for the water hole when arriving. Its out of the way so you dont really hear the highway, just your neighbors.

The location is currently a problem. There is road construction on the main road going in but also construction all around the hotel and the entry and exit way - which is not their actual property - is chewed all up with many potholes some of which are deep. The entry/exit floods when it rains and I don't mean a small puddle. This is across two traffic lanes a good 3-6 inches deep and close to the full car length wide. The potholes flood too so when you smack one it a surprise. The hotel itself is clean and well run with great staff.

The hotel was clean which is a plus. There are things to do in the surrounding area. They also have complimentary breakfast. Cons: You can hear all the noise from the hallway inside the room. I suggest wearing headphones. I wasn’t a fan of brown colored walls inside the room.

It was reasonably priced. The room was clean and well maintained. There was a coffee maker, mini refrigerator and microwave. There was a free breakfast. We were able to be on the first floor . It is really quiet there. The room had a desk , couch. The bed was firm. The only thing was that there were only two towels and there wasn't a bath rug . The staff was friendly. I would recommend and stay there again

I came down for work. My car ended up breaking down my master cylinder went out. My company tried to get front attended to close my room out while I was at work. All bc they revised the schedule any way they wouldn't close my room out bc my stuff was still on the room. I was gonna move hotels on Wednesday but then I spoke with Kala the Regional manager (she is amazing by the way) she got me a room at good deal and didn't hounded me about getting my car fixed. We was able to get my car fixed late afternoon yesterday. I would stay here again weather for worl or not. All the staff is amazing and so kindRooms: Very cleanSafety: I felt safe the whole time I was thereWalkability: I walked the whole mall area the other day it was nice to get out and walkFood & drinks: Always coffee available and if not your allowed to make a pot

Poor service, didn't pickup garbage or makeup beds. Had to ask for clean towels. The continental breakfast of coffee, teas and juice and assorted cold cereals was good. The staff was to laid back. The cost was to expensive for $238.00 for one evening and two days. Coffee machine and condiments in room, had to ask them to restock each day. Their was constant noise above our heads with each night we stayed. People were running down the hall during the late night into early morning. We didn't complain, but should have.

Can't beat for the price. Room was clean. Would get 5 stars but you have to ask for extra towels

Don't let the name fool you... this hotel is enormous. Macrotel, if you ask me. I had to stand on my brother's shoulders to reach the door handle, and the pages of the Bible were like a football field each. When I asked for a toothbrush (I forgot mine at home), I was handed a utensil so large I was equivalent to an ant holding a telephone pole. Except, unlike an ant, I cannot carry 20 times my body weight. I tried to stop it, but the toothbrush fell like a mighty sequioa, crushing my brother and his backpack. It's really a shame, I had a quiche in his backpack. Wouldn't fit in mine due to my casserole.

We stayed at this hotel four nights while our truck was being repaired. There is nothing bad I can say. The front desk clerks and housekeeping were phenomenal while we were there. The room was nice, clean and quiet. Breakfast was what you would expect. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked 2 rooms here on our way home from Tennessee, and I had no idea what to expect. When I heard the price, I was honestly a little worried. We were pleasantly surprised!! For under $100, this was an excellent find! The hotel itself looks new and was nice and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were equipped with a small refrigerator and a microwave, and even a window seat. Everything was clean and comfortable. There was a complimentary grab and go breakfast in the morning, and everything was quick and easy. There are many restaurants and stores in the same plaza… very convenient when traveling. I would definitely recommend!

This was supposed to be a relaxing stay to end our vacation and leisurely way to break up drive from Tennessee to Maryland. My family and I stayed here upon return from Michigan on New Year's Day and it was great. Upon arrival, the person working the front desk informed me that my room has a broken computer chair which meant my stepson would not be using the desk. Once my family and I got to the room, it smelled like an ashtray and had a bug trap hanging from the ceiling. This is unacceptable and my family and I decide to drive the remaining 3 hours plus to go home after already driving 9 hours from Nashville that day. The Club Wyndham Vacation Sidekick App has this hotel advertised as non-smoking but clearly Microtel does not enforce the policy. When complaining to the front desk the person offered to spray the room while my family and I leave for an hour or two, which would make matters worse. The main entry to the road leading to the hotel as a huge pothole where you practically have to drive over the grass to avoid damaging your vehicle. After our experience with the Best Western near the Huntington (where we decided to leave before checking in) and this hotel, we will never book a hotel in West Virginia again. It is sad because the people that do work the front desk at these hotels are great people and will try to help you, but the rooms are horrendous and I would not recommend staying there. Like my review for Best Western in Huntington, I think part of the issue is with the Club Wyndham Vacation Sidekick App.

I’ve stayed here once before and chose to try them again! Didn’t have any issues either stay! It’s a pretty basic hotel, everything is clean, and employees are friendly. Due to COVID they have a small grab and go breakfast area, I grabbed some pop tarts and a cereal bar, I later realized they had already expired. But truly no big deal, I had a clean room and no bugs which was way more important to me!

This Motel has good reviews for a reason, its people. Breakfast was really good, bed was comfy, TV was HD direct TV with HBO and they even had fresh baked cookies for us to enjoy!

The hotel is located behind a construction so at 6 am you start to listen all the work Its impossible to sleep there, we were for a week and we never got room service, they never clean our rooms or provide more towels, they put in the website free breakfast but is no breakfast at all you need to walk by the front desk an ask for muffins or a cereal bar or packs snacks but not breakfast, they offer coffee. That's cero options for breakfast. The worst part is not cleaning service. the halls and stairs are dirty, the smell of pee is strong in the rooms because is a pet friendly hotel so you need to deal with the smell and the barks. Its not way to back there again. very disappointed
