Very disappointed with things I saw employee wise. Employees being mistreated, laziness from a few of them. The place within the last few weeks has gone to hell. I would be ashamed to be a manager here. It is beyond embarrassing to treat employees and present yourself like that. Especially so comfortably infront of customers. Shame!

I’ve had wonderful experiences in the past and always find the store to be well stocked with usually very friendly employees. However, my last experience was very different. I was paying for a set of pajamas, which were on the hanger together, and as the employee was ringing them up, she mentioned there was no tag on the pants. When I offered to pay for the shirt today and come back tomorrow to pay for the pants separately (since there was no one available to create a tag for them) she informed me very condescendingly they could not under any circumstance hold an item. So—I told her to forget about it and she very aggressively threw them in a bin. I really go out of my way to be friendly to any employee—especially retail workers. I also completely understand company policies are just that and not an employee’s fault. It’s the obviously rude, condescending nature of this particular woman I came in contact with—that I have a problem with. Super unfortunate because it’s typically a great store.

I have shopped goodwill for years for books but would browse for other things as well. The staff at Fairmont have always been friendly.However I have pretty much stopped shopping in this (region) areas goodwills Morgantown, Fairmont, Bridgeport, PA because they keep raising prices so steeply over and over . I used to visit atleast once a week to look at books, glass, and holiday items I started only visiting about 6-8 times a year after the last price increase. Today I was in and now all adult books paperbacks included are $2.99.So in the last couple years paper backs have went from $1.19 to $1.99 to $2.19 and now $2.99. Used book stores that purchase books sale books cheaper than goodwill sales them when they themselves get them for free.Glassware and holiday have also been spiked in price.It’s not thrifting or worth browsing or buying used if the pricing is the same or sometimes higher than new items.Also it’s not worth browsing for used books when they keep raising the prices. I purchased 2 out of the 8 I found today. At the register I also put one back after I found out they raised the pricing again.

They have made it a better experience with the layout. However, the prices are somewhat ridiculous. You can buy brand new most places for the same price. I'm all for secondhand shoppING but not if it costs me more than new.

Prices clearly marked & was told that the price tags were pulled off. Got charged MORE than what was marked. Also felt like I was being accused of doing it. I know there are some people who do things like that but I am not 1 of those who do that. I donate a lot of things there but am wondering why??? After I felt like being accused like that I don't think so

The store is always clean and organized. Bathrooms are nice. My complaint is with the companies changes in the last year or so. Prices have increased tremendously. Yes they have started this discounted color system, but they are not fooling me. Jack up the regular prices so they can offer a "discount"!?!?! Insanity! I will not shop or donate anymore.

just got out of goodwill bought some dinner plates they said they will not wrap in paper and are going bagless . They are 2 expensive just shop at Walmart or dollar store get better deals will never shop at goodwill again.

I bought a huge doll house today. Much too big to fit in my car. A young employee named Chris was so, so helpful. He took the doll house apart until it fit perfectly. He was courteous and I cannot say how much I appreciate his willing and cheerful assistance. Just great!

Over crowded with people and products. Hard to navigate and enjoy looking due to the small crowed Isles. They do have good selection of things but 99% is way over priced! This stuff is all donations yet they want far to much for things that was given to them for free. I also saw an employee shopping for herself while I was trying to make room just to browse. She had a cart full of high end merchandise that I thought she was putting out to be sold, when I asked about a price of a item in her cart she told me she is shopping and gets 50% off her order. She had her cart full and pushed it from the back. I now know that the employees get best dibs on everything and only put what they don't want out on the floor! I will not donate to Goodwill again after seeing this! Very shameful that stock up the best for there selves!

I wasn't upset about the " All sales are final" speech I got from the Fairmont store clerk. It was how she stated it and dismissed me so I pitched the garment in the trash in front of the check out rather than donate it back. I will donate and shop at a real charity from now on.

Been here several times there over priced had an incident and cashier said could sell me something casue it didn't have a Tag after I told her I knew better she fixed it but charged me extra way more than should been I apologized for being rude to them but I am a frequent spender in good will and this one isn't the best..

Depressing. There is a wide selection of clothes, and the new building is so much nicer than the old location, but still, even though I am hopelessly optimistic to stop by there sometimes to see if there are any interesting finds, it's just depressing and I usually leave with nothing.If you need clothes, though, it's a good place to at least try if you are on a tight budget. They do have a good selection.

The prices are comparable to that of a retail store. If they would lower their prices, they could move more stuff. I can't tell you how many times I've gone here and come out without buying anything because I might as well buy new at the price that this Goodwill is asking. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

They had a fish bowl that had a $2.00 tag on it and got to the register they was charging $9.99,the manager was called to the front she quickly pulls the $2.00 tag off and says thats a yard sale tag,and well so it should have been pulled off before hitting their floor.So they kept it.

I visit the Bridgeport Goodwill "often" the Fairmont was is much bigger and I would say a bit more organized. The housewares section ( plates cups etc ) is W A Y bigger and the mens section is probably a bit smaller. and the woman's section - there was simply to much to take in in one visit. NICE friendly staff. They will probably have what your looking for and then some!

Good prices on donated clothing and household items. The problem I have with goodwill is, it's a for profit business that takes donations from the public and sells them for financial gain. Most people who donate believe it's going for a good cause but it's actually going right into the CEOs bank account. Illegal? No. Immoral? Definitely.

Tuesday , March 20, 2018. I travel in to see family and we always go to Whitehall Goodwill to shop. I have noticed how the quality has gone to the pigs and the pricing is ridiculous for used items . But we usually find some good deals . This time I had found a Batman headquarters toy for my son with the pricing of $1.99 pink sticker and on another side a $7.99 pink sticker . Knowing most thrift stores usually honor the lesser value to keep good business , I asked for the manager to honor the pricing of the lesser amount . He (Wade) began to belittle me staying " I switched price stickers " and stating customer will move stickers from one item to another . I stated how both stickers were stuck on there pretty good and didn't look like what he stated . How at least compromise on a price . He was rude , loud and horribly wrong . I stood in disbelief with my son and mom in disbelief of how he treated me a paying customer ! I then proceeded to go up front asked for him (Wade) to come to front so I may speak with him. He wouldn't even acknowledge me! I made it known I spend my money here usually and I will never ever spend at this Goodwill because of his rudeness. I worked in retail and "customer is always right" was the motto. Keep their business and honor the pricing , even if it is wrong ! I am letting others know through my fashion blog about this and to not spend your money at this stonre! Quality of products and service is horrible!

Second Hand thrift store. Prices are very reasonable, but the store itself is kind of unorganized. It runs on donations so you never know what they will have in stock. All in all a great place to save money and get name brand clothing for cheap!

I like this goodwill. I've gotten some interesting finds here. From a new Canon printer for $15 to designer jacket for $10. It's worth taking a look.

They are usually staffed well. Its clean as it can be. Stocked well. It's a good thrift store.
