Prices are higher than other stores in the area.I had a little over $100 in my cart and wanted to continue shopping, however I needed to use their restroom. Could not find staff to unlock the door. Left without buying anything. There was no one at the registers.

The cashier was friendly and very helpful. The staff was attentive as well. However the selection in men's clothing was a joke. They didn't have much to choose from, for example a plain colored Tshirt, with no designs, anyone looking for something bigger than a 2XL will have to order from an over prized online store, because Fairmont Gabriel Brothers doesn't have anything larger.

The older blonde cashier was one of the rudest people I've ever had the mispleasure of dealing with. The store is vastly disorganized. I had no help during the 3 hours I was in there searching for clothes. All in all, I would never visit this location again.

I love this Gabes. It my little slice of Heaven. I always love shopping and am amazed by some of the items they carry as well as the name brands. This is the Best Gabes I have been to by far. CLEAN, Organized and always shelves and racks stocked.

I asked the cashier if they had a particular item and he said if we do it's over there and pointed. You could tell he didn't care whether he helped me or not. Then I started to check out the other item that I had in my cart and he very rudely told me he was helping someone else. There was no one else there, but she walked back up and very nicely apologized just as he was telling me this. Not sure I'll be back.

This might be a smaller location than Bridgeport or Morgantown locations, but I like it was better and always find a great variety of high-ticket brands for super cheap. Depending on when I’ve come, they usually carry a better selection of outerwear and footwear in my size as well. Sometimes it gets pretty busy, but always worth the stop! (And who doesn’t love checking out the oddity items you won’t see anywhere else? lol)

My very 1st time in a Gabes store and it was in Fairmount WVA. Very clean, easy to find plus size clothes, wish there was more, beautiful Christmas decor, alot of very nice ideas for Christmas. And even more discounted racks for $1, $2, $3. Name brand everything. I cant wait to get money to do my Christmas shopping. I'm so hyped.

Excellent store for shoes, boots and inexpensive household items. I got a membership card and will be visiting next month. The staff was cheerful and my cashier recommended membership for more discounts on next visit. This is located in Fairmont, West Virginia. This is a discount store like Ross in Chicago.

I rate Gabe's a four for value.If you visit right now there is a lot on clearance.Having said that always check items over before you purchase. Look for stains. Check zippers to ensure they function etc.Over-all Gabe's is a great place to shop if you're looking for discounts on name brands and other great deals.

We shop for nursing home patients and the cashiers were very helpful and patient when asking to pack merchandise in separate bags and ringing items in separate lots. Organized store.

Went clothes shopping for my son. Found some great deals. Only down side not a huge shoe/boot selection for men with big feet. But other then that great overall experience out cashier at c/o was fabulous, she even signed up for a new rewards card cause I had earned alot of points this visit and didn't remember tje phone number to my old 1. Great employees and service thank u.

The employees were very polite and helpful. I was very surprised that they carry some electronic and cell phone accessories. I love the very good quality Bluetooth headphones I picked up for $15. Less than half, third or quarter the cost I normally see in big department and electronic stores. I couldn't be happier with the shoes and clothes I bought for my son going back to school. I believe I saved as much or more money than I spent.

Store is haphazardly arranged. If you're looking for shoes, good luck. The sizes are all jumbled around. The Morgantown Gabe's is much clearer and nicer. Wirth the extra miles.

I love Gabe's in general. Sometimes it can be hit or miss when you go. I have been frequenting the Fairmont store and have not had much success lately. Will be trying the Morgantown store to see if I have better luck. Overall, Gabe's is where I do a good bit of my shopping

Not really caring to shop, I have given 5 stars to the meadowdale area Gabe's.I was looking for a hard-to-find size pants for a elderly family member. The store manager dropped everything she was doing & helped me for over an hour💗😇😁I told her a few times "thank you for pointing me in the right area, I hate to be taking up your time."But she politely continued around the store to help me. Successfully, thanks to her, I left with what was needed.I blessed her & said "you're an angel for helping me Today"

Some Good deals.pleasant staff.We were visiting area for the day. Said Restroom was to remain closed due to Covid-19, absolutely no sense for this HAND WASHING and toileting is essential for customers. They finally let me use.follow up from corporate, Restroom to remain open.

I wouldn't shop here if u paid me. This is what you call corporate bullcrap. First off its not the original Gabriel Brothers. This store started in the back of a truck, it was intended to be a bargain for people that didn't have the money to go to the fancy department stores. This was a great store that sold merchandise at a great price like nice Nikey's for $40 not $90. I asked a staff member what happened to the prices and she replied " We no longer deal in second hand or damaged products." Lol that's why you can go and find all kinds of items that have their manufacturing tags blacked out or removed, the manufactures remove or black out their product tags to prevent the consumer from trying to return these " damaged" goods to the high end retailers for cash refund or store credit. I'm just a consumer who doesn't like being taken advantage of. I also don't like seeing my fellow man taken advantage of either.

I had not been to this store in over 33 years. In this latest visit, the store had a lot of product, but it was very messy. It was somewhat organized, however. The store's staff might as well have been non-existent. The store was not particularly well lit. It was a fairly depressing experience.
