Ate at the cafe, yes, they have a cafe at this rest stop. Had fresh fruit and a PB&J, it was delicious. Yes, they had other foods like muffins, bagels and sandwiches. The restroom was clean and well maintained. New facilities it seemed. They also have 6 vending machines in case you didn’t want to go to the cafe. Staff super nice, Sarah was wonderful in the cafe.

Decently clean, has vending machines, and a small cafe. Has a few nice shelters with picnic tables. Two pet walk areas, and is in general a nice place. It doesn’t have the biggest parking lot, but parking generally isn’t a problem.

This place is great. It is not often you can get real food at a rest stop but this little Cafe was just what we needed for a quick bite.Place was clean, the food was good, and the service was friendly.If you find yourself in the area, this is a great little spot to get out, stretch your legs, and have a muffin and a cup of coffee. They also have hot food as well.

Beautiful rest area👍👍👍👍👍.Parking for trucks and cars. Approximately fits 25 trucks in parallel parking and 30 cars in 90-degree parking. Lays along us 64 South Highway between beautiful mountains. Really amazing nature around. Clean restrooms, vending machines, restaurants, and convenient tables outside for rest, food, smoke, etc. Very busy in the evening and difficult to find empty parking spaces. It's one of the best rest areas overall.👌

Nice, clean, easy access just off the highway rest area. Area offers restrooms, vending area with a small selection of soda, chips, candy etc., lots of parking for vehicles and semi trucks, a dog walk, ATM, and coming soon Mountain State Cafe. Stopped during the day and felt pretty safe.

The bathrooms were clean and the sinks were cool. All touchless, I got soap squirted on my hands, moved over where the water turned on automatically, then finally put them under an air dryer, all without moving my feet or touching anything. Pretty neat!

Beautiful rest area nestled in the blue ridge mountains. Clean. Clean air. Room for about 20 trucks or so, parallel parking on both sides of an access road. The restaurant has been closed since covid, but the fact that there was a restaurant here speaks to its uniqueness. The dog park is extensive, so pull that camper in and let fido out for a bit to enjoy the fresh clean mountain air!

$ 14 dollar combo at Burger King. Utterly absurd. Gift shop closed by 630pm. KFC was closed and so was the Starbucks. Like where’s the option for anything else there. There was none Burger King or nothing. I was hungry, thirsty and tired. Way to go West Virginia you really know how to make a guest feel wanted. Sun is not even down quite yet. Bathrooms were nasty. The staff rude as you know what. I would have rather kept driving on to the next town and maybe received better service cleaner bathrooms and shops and restaurants to choose from to get something to eat.

This has to be one on the prettiest rest stop I have ever stopped at. The views were breath taking. These pictures do not do this stop Justice. The building is very nice the bathrooms were very clean. It is a nice place to stop use the facilities. There is a nice snack bar as well.

New ownership. A permanently closed store is now being revived, and reconditioned into a new stop. Glad there will be more than just a restroom available. Mountain State Cafe. Look forward to seeing what is offered.

I recently stopped at this rest stop and had a somewhat mixed experience. The facility itself was clean and offered a pleasant outdoor area for pets, which was a nice touch. However, my visit turned out to be more of a stress stop than a rest stop.The on-site cafe provided hot food options, but I found it a bit disappointing that the drinks were more expensive compared to the vending machines. Speaking of which, the vending machines were located in a cramped hallway-like area, making it inconvenient and causing a lot of bumping into other visitors.While the cleanliness and pet-friendly space were positive aspects, the pricing discrepancy and layout of the vending machines created an unexpectedly stressful experience. Every time I return to Virginia I stop at this rest stop because it is probably one of the most pleasant well maintained rest stops from coast to coast. Wonderful flowering plants as well as a short nature trail. Plenty of vending and restroom facilities to meet everyone's needs it is very often when I have stopped here that I will see one of these state troopers stop along and look at the place over which is always reassuring.

My biggest complaint for this rest area is there just isn't enough parking for large vehicles, including big rigs, buses and RV's. For a turnpike toll road where we're paying money to drive on, it would be nice to see a little bit better accommodations for safety's sake.Lots of vending machines, and even a snack bar open during the day.The facilities themselves are clean and brightly lit. And for all those able to safely park, it's a good place to stop and take a break.

This is a great stop on one of the most beautiful highways in the country. The mountains are scenic. This rest stop has several shops for food and refreshment. The rest rooms are clean and it is a heavily visited place.

This has got to be one of the nicest, and well lit rest stops I've ever been to. The bathrooms are incredibly nice. Even the baby changing station is next level. (It was level and had raised eyes to keep the baby from rolling off.)It felt safe to walk about even in the middle of the night.
