I unfortunately shop here after work because I have to, the parking is terrible since they took out a chunk of it for the gas station then later the pick up spots.The isles are way to close together for a store that has that many customers and one will find themselves trapped by other shoppers if they don’t watch. The self checkout is ok, but the machines will mess with you from time to time.Often times you won’t find an item that you’re looking for because it’s not stocked, instead of stocking items they have to many employees picking orders.Once I had to wait 10 minutes along with three other people for a gallon of milk, because the person who should have been stocking the dairy was assigned to pick orders.I gave them two stars because the employees seem pretty nice butI really hate shopping at this location.

The manager is an arrogant prick. As a customer Im not comfortable with the way he treats the employees. I dont shop at this Kroger which is the closest to my home anymore because of the abuse I've seen from him toward the employees there. It's sad. Some of those workers have been there for decades and he's fired so many of them that's its ridiculous. The friendly faces we all got used to seeing are mostly gone. None of them seem happy anymore and even when I've been checking out my groceries he stands there snearing and unfriendly. I feel bad for all the people who have to work under that man. He's more like an overlord than a manager. I won't be going back until they replace that man.

It’s 1:00 on. Friday afternoon- NO Carts in the store. 2 people in the lines . Asked why no carts the answer was we’re busy. Had to use a hand basket and carry my groceries.. I’m a 70 year old woman. Had to get what I had to have. If they are busy on the third of the month call more people in to work.. bad enough you have to wait on yourself, now you want people to go out and get your own cart. Wasn’t that busy. Lousy service!!!

Elkview, WV Kroger has gone downhill since the re-opening after the flood. There must be new management. There needs to be a way to leave NO STARS. The floors are always dirty. The entry is always dirty. I have witnesses outdated food still on the shelves. The bakery has pies and cookies on OPEN cooling racks with a multitude of flies landing on the food and swarming around. The produce is not monitored and rotated properly. People are going to get really sick or worse. Wake up Kroger and fix this store! The mold on the fruit is ONE example of the huge problem at this store.

There's usually only ONE cashier lane open. BRING BACK THE CASHIERS!!! I DO NOT like using the self checkout. When ringing items up, there's ALWAYS issues. It makes checking out such a hassle and time-consuming. This Krogers is getting as bad as Walmart.

Was looking for a particular deli meat that my local Kroger's was sold out of. Called around to other Kroger's until elkview Kroger's deli stated that they not only carried it but they had it in stock. At that time I told them I would be there to see them shortly. I drove over 30 minutes to buy this item only to find out they didn't have it. Dissatisfied & disappointed.

March 25. 2024. For over two years, the shelves in these stores are not stocked. If you want food, DON'T SHOP HERE. Go to another Kroger store. The ones on Delaware Ave and St Albans are always stocked.

This store seems to never have enough registers open; the self-checkout is always a hassle and there's always an issue with it, causing me to wait for someone to help. Shopping and paying the high prices at Kroger is hard enough, let alone having to ring myself up and bag my own groceries. I've bought several birthday cakes here over the past year, and many of them didn't get written on because no one was working the bakery- still paid the same price for a plain cake and my wife had to buy the stuff to write on the cake herself. Most all of the lettuce and salad ingredients we buy here go bad within 4 days.

Theres Never anybody working service desk. Even managers don't no how to cash checks. But when whoever is supposed to be at the service desk is on his hour lunch or one of ther 5 breaks they should have someone to replace him until he gets back. Management is

This store is always out of stock !!!!! The deli is never stocked always out of bread and lunch meat 😡. Seems you have to place your orders down town. Wake up management !!!!!!

This store is an absolute joke. The store is hardly ever stocked. Employee's stand around talking about other employees..customer service is just a word. High time Corp Krogers sends secret shoppers there to see what people are complaining about. There is never anyone at the bakery. They are not helpful at all.. Forgot being asking for help outside! Managers never around. Maybe Kroger's needs to rethink that store. It is small and the most mismanaged mess I have ever seen in grocery stores.

This is my Kroger’s...and they are the most thoughtful about prices during this pandemic. I have shopped a couple Kroger’s in the area, things were not as thoughtful.Even the placements of products and merchandise were put in to view for the low prices on name brands and with the alternative of non name brand right beside. The even marked down things that never go “on sale” like olive oil .Thank you Elkview Kroger’s for supporting our community. You also employee our youth and that is amazing...

Dakota. Who works for customer service. Was completely helpful at answering my question. I know for a fact that he is doing well at his job. Great experiences, everytime, I go to this Kroger. It's by far, the best Kroger, I've ever shopped at!

Descent store. However some people need thing before 7 am. All the other Kroger in the region opens at 6 or they're 24/7. I'm so tired of these hours/ store. Hello Smith's I know you open at 6.

Over 60% of their produce comes in bad contrary what the commercials would lead you to believe. Management here is scarce and all under trained. The owner of the store surprised me with how incompetent store management can be. And I've worked retail a total of four years.

So glad Kroger is up and running again! Only concerning issue: displays at the end of the aisle stick out too much and shoppers can easily run into them. The aisles/rows are barely wide enough

They have a large variety and it is a convenient area since I am just down one exit off mink shoals so I like doing my main shopping here bi weekly

They was low on some items, probably because of the storm that will be moving through the area in the next few days. Still the best place to shop that is close by. Very glad they opened back up. Miss them being in Clendenin, WV. God Bless.

Friendly staff, and excellent prices. The place is usually always packed however which leads to some basic items being out of stock also prepare for a wait when checking out

0 marks for customer service. Never anybody at the service desk. Who ever is suppose to be there is always on a hour break or a 2 hour lunch and managers nor anyone else working there can't learn to work the service desk in his absence. Very annoying

Elkview west Virginia Kroger's is a joke! I bought some meds & I have my receipt & I accidentally left it set on the self check out. I remember it as I was getting ready to pull off the parking lot. But I went straight back in asked them did they happen to put this meds back or did someone happen to turn it in. The guy working the desk said no you can get your replacement & then once I was in the ale getting my meds back he comes yelling saying I was told our new rules are that we can't exchange, refund , replace anything!!!! Well if that's a new rule Kroger Elkview wv made up then why isn't it in writing some where in the store so the customers can see it ?? Like a door , windows, customer service desk , check out lines , any where in the store where customers can see it !? I'm not asking for a refund or exchange I'm just simply asking to replace it.!!

Great selection and items are always in stock. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only drawback is they have no pharmacy, but there is a CVS right next door.

Doesn't have WiFi, but depends upon Internet application with limited cell service. About 10' of Organic Produce. Doesn't carry anything but the basics. Most Manufacturers Coupons for new products are never available. Seems to be assimilating into the surrounding demographic which is a low income clannish community as described both by outsiders and West Virginians who came from other areas of the State. A Car Wash where only 60% of it even works and appears to have been built with PCV tubes, however the cost is the same as a modern Carwash in Hurricane, WV about 30 miles southwest of Elk View and like night & day culturally.

Terrible shopping experience!!! The only lanes open after 7pm are "15 items or less" and self check out! What??? Not ok when you have a cart full of groceries. I'm headed back to Charleston's West Side Kroger!

It's average for a Kroger's It's been remodeled but the people are nice and the weight is usually very short for you can check out yourself on the do-it-yourself registers
