This used to be one of the best thrift stores in the area. Unfortunately, as of lately, they have implemented a new policy where anything with no tag cannot be purchased, it HAS to go to the back to be "reprocessed" and have a tag put on it. I could not wait for it, nor could I hold it. So much for being honest, I could have simply taken a tag off of something else and put it on it. I guess they don't even want to sell things that they receive donated to them, for free. They make it as hard as possible. I even offered to give them $5.00, which is way more than the item would have been (no more than $1.99) They've lost a frequent customer with this idiotic new policy. The Ripley location had it as well and I stopped shopping there because of it, Elkview now as well.

Awesome Goodwill but the slowest check out ever. I’m going to come over here, and get a job to show you how it’s done. Literally. Way too slow. When you have a huge line backing up it’s time to kick it in. I’ve been a cashier at many retail locations.I notice a lot of cashiers Lolly gag around out here. This store also needs cleaned. The floors are a mess. I’ll do that too.

NOT ONLY HAS GOODWILL OUTPRICED THE COMMUNITY THE RETAILER WAS CREATED TO SERVE, THE ELKVIEW WV LOCATION DOES NOT EVER PARTICIPATE IN ANY COLOR CODED REDUCED PRICING BASED ON DAYS IN HOUSE ON FLOOR REDUCED SALES. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKETO SEE THIS CHANGE IMMEDIATELY CONSIDEERING ALL ITEMS ARE FREE FROM DONATIONS. THIS IS NOT A RETAILER IT IS IN FACT A RESLLER

I had an awesome experience from the employee working. I didn’t notice until checkout that they could only take cash. I normally never carry much cash on me. My total was almost $24 and all I had was $20 and I was attempting to ask her to just take one of my shirts off the total. Much to my surprise she says no and gets her own money out to cover my total. I shop at a lot of goodwill’s and not once have I witnessed the generosity as I did at this goodwill. I’m from Huntington WV and I want to personally thank this location from the bottom of my heart. I hope a blessing comes to the older lady working 7/5/19 at closing.

Staff wasnt helpful.....staff was quite rude. I picked out 4 items....3 tshirts & 1 zip up hoodie. $21.00. The tshirt sign states 1 price...the cashier says another price. I will never go back..... nor will I donate anything to Goodwill. My items will be at a womens homeless shelter.

This is one of the smaller stores. The staff is professional and personal. They have always ready to assist you. There is a supply of all the usual items, ,which includes. ......EVERYTHING.
