Just adopted a super sweet cat for our daughter. Hope she likes the surprise. If your looking to adopt I highly recommend this place. Great staff and great animals. It'll take a few days for processing but it's so worth it.

This place is awesome!! I adopted my fur baby 4 years ago and my son just adopted a fur baby for my grandson!! Perfect fit. They are inseparable!!

I love/hate going here. I love all the animals and just want to take them all home. They need ppl to go spend time with the cats and get them use to ppl. I believe that will get them adopted faster. Chatter the cat was outside watching everyone, he's a special one. I appreciate them taking cars off the streets and out of harms way and making sure they have a nice warm space. Wish they could take more cats but they are doing a great job. Everyone is so nice there and very helpful. People need to donate to them. These are my cats I adopted from there years ago.

I was very interested in adopting one of their dogs Boone. They called me on a Monday and I immediately called back to no answer left a message and heard nothing back. I called again and even emailed and still nothing back. I eventually went to the shelter on Wednesday and was told I couldn't adopt him because I have two kids age 7 and 5 that has been raised around Huskies their entire lives. However they had someone there that had him out and was going to adopt him out from under me anyways. So now I have 2 heartbroken kids that wanted that doggy. 💔 I don't recommend going there for a pet!

We've adopted both a cat and 3 dogs over the past years here at the RCHS. This is a great program with a staff so willing to help and very knowledgeable. The pets are the best ever, loving and ready for their forever home. Adoption fees are very affordable. Thank you so much for all our girls.

Fantastic staff. I'm very happy with my adoption of Mason on Saturday 6/28/20. We are now home in Pennsylvania and he has been getting very comfortable with his new surroundings. Thanks so much for your help with providing me with a buddy to pal around with.

I have had nothing but trouble from this place. I had to give up whole paychecks of couple hundreds of dollars just to get my family (dogs) back. They wouldn't work with me on payments. They said no money no dogs. My kids suffered the most. Now they have one of my dogs again. They got their few minutes before I did and once again no money no dog. I am out of work no income and once again. My kids are suffering. I can't find a way to update the rabies shot so now we have to let this place keep him because I'm poor and have no help updating rabies and they won't work with me. Shame on them for taking a family member from a loving home and kids who love him very muchmbecause I have no money right now.

Advertised dog as adoptable but dog was not neutered and ready to adopt even though they had him for a month. Was told to pick him up on a Friday, which was the day after his neuter, and he’s suffering complications from the surgery.Staff was fairly knowledgeable despite the disorganization.So I am stuck on a weekend with a suffering dog and no vets available until MondayNot pleased

Amazing work, even in this hard time. Still was able to meet with the animal. They also requested for my contact just in case, a dog that I might be interested in is available. The other ones in buckhannon, Eliken, Weston sheltor were all appointment and when I did try to set one up I was left with voicemail and reply. This place is 10/10. Loved walking the cute dogs.

The RCHS is great. Staff members are excellent at their jobs and willingness to help. The shelter and pets are very clean. There are puppies and senior dogs and cats needing their forever homes. I have adopted 2 dogs and a cat with great success and satisfaction and I will be back. Thank you RCHS.🐾🐾👍

I have messaged this agency and left voicemails at least 5 times with a sincere interest in one of the cats they have for adoption. NO ONE has responded over the course of two weeks. I feel so bad for the animals here as they have little chance of getting a home if no one responds to inquiries 😢

Just adopted this sweetheart...The place was clean and the staff friendly. I liked that not just the dogs but the cats also got outdoor time. Great place to adopt your new fur baby <3

The girls work very hard. I always try to take food and blankets and cleaning supplys to them. I took things up a week ago they were walking. the dogs I cry every time for those precious animals.They really have a lot to do I really appreciate them.

Great place very nice they also give information about a animal ur about to adopt so u better understanding about ur new pet they observe the animals very closely so they can pretty much tell u all u need to know about ur new pet. adopt they make the best pets cuz they respect the love that u give them..
