This my regular grocery store. Great staff, really great. Store well stocked.I've heard that it might close with the super Kroger's opening in south Charleston. I will be very sad if that happens and it will cost them sales as they become less convenient

Employees need to have more support from management. Two people working in the pharmacy. One person on self checkout with the machines acting up. Not a manager to be found.

I give the Pharmacy 5 stars however the remainder of the store needs some improvement. Cluttered shelves and low stock make for a less than ideal shopping experience.

They had a shortage on bread last Friday and again today. They had the more expensive brands but not any of the cheaper ones. Also out of some sale item stuff that went on sale Wednesday.

I recently visited the Kroger in Dunbar, WV and I was very impressed. The store was clean and well-organized, with a wide selection of products. The staff were friendly and helpful.. I was able to find everything I needed. The prices were also very reasonable. I would highly recommend Kroger in Dunbar to anyone looking for a great grocery shopping experience. Great store and great staff!

Pretty standard as far as grocery stores go. Typically well stocked and they always have good sales deals going on. What really makes this Kroger location stand out to me is the employees, in particular Michael! He is so incredibly kind, and goes above and beyond for the customer. My bf and I have had him help us in the self check out line many times, and he always remembers us and just shows the best level of professionalism and customer service!

Employees fully allowing a dog pulling to other customers on a flexi lead is not ok! I do not want a dog up sniffing me with no control from the owner while I am trying to grocery shop. Even when brought to an employees attention there was no action taken to remove the animal from a non pet friendly place and this was clearly not a service dog.

There's always some kind of issue. Fruit spoiling in the store. Prices marked incorrectly. Sales tags incorrect or not updated. Items on the website listed available in store, when you get to the store they're not. The pharmacy got my rx wrong twice and they were rude about it. It doesn't make sense for one store to fail in so many ways.

Had a terrible experience with an older redhead at customer service. I brought in my moldy tomatoes and she told me to go get new ones to exchange them but when I got back to the counter she changed her mind. She said the moldy tomatoes were very large and could only be exchanged for the same size tomatoes. She also said they didn't have the sku sticker so that was another reason but not all the fruits and vegetables have sku stickers on them. I had proof of purchase. They're just regular, organic slicing tomatoes but she said no. I was going to get a manager but she called the Produce manager and that very helpful man told her yes the slicing tomatoes come in different sizes and the store recieved them that large recently even though that size is sold now but they have the smaller size left of the same tomato. They're sold by the pound not by the tomato. The nice produce manager bagged up 2.5 lbs of new tomatoes for me and so she let me exchange for them. There were 2 other employees behind customer service and none of them agreed with the way she was handling the situation but I remained amiable with the difficult rep. I am pretty sure her supervisor wouldn't like to hear how she managed the simple problem but I understand it's hard to find good employees at the moment.

Kroger has mostly groceries that I enjoy buying. With the option of self check out I'm usually in-and-out pretty quickly with what I need in tow. Unless there is a lot of traffic most of the time I don't have to wait on anybody. I don't have to stand in line for so much time. For me it's a 5 out of 5.

Ok but need more/better electric carts. Bathrooms are nasty and didn't have toilet paper. Told them at the office and she snottily said that's not my job I don't care. Then told me to use the one on the back behind the dairy dept. Went in and there was 6 employees hanging around...

Kroger is pretty decent. There are some things not happy with. They don't always do the greatest when it comes to stocking sale items. Most of the employees are Surly nice there are a few that are snooty and can be down right rude. Overall good store.

Very good grocery store typically well-stocked lines are not too long selection of product is great this location is located in Dunbar within minutes of the interstate or you can zip across the Demar bridge and be in South Charleston in a matter of minutes

I like this Krogers. It's a good store. I found some awesome Italian meatballs in the fresh meat selection. So good. Everyone liked them. You cook em. Got some really nice fresh broccoli. Just ask if you need help. Friendly service.

Well placed items, usually quick checkouts, deli, bakery all great. Meat dept could improve on more family packaging though. Needs more availability and choices throughout the day instead of empty meat cases.

The reason i like going to the Dunbar Kroger’s (even though South Charleston Krogers is closer to my home) is the environment ... it’s friendlier from the meat department , produce, dairy , and always the cashiers especially David i never here grumbling about there job or talking about others they are always welcoming and helpful.I would love to say this about the South Charleston Store ...a course there a few friendly helpful employees ...but the majority are not ..

Love Krogers. People are friendly and very helpful. Store is clean. Large aisles. Plenty of room. Plenty of parking. Meat selection isnt as good as it was. Prices have risen a little. I usually buy Kroger brand if I can find it. Shelves are always stocked except for Kroger sodas. Store is very convenient. Front desk workers are very helpful and friendly. Bill pay is down alot tho. Always plenty of buggies.

This is a smaller neighborhood Kroger. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their selection is a bit limited but if you really need something bad enough, the Riverwalk Kroger is a five minute drive, or you can make it to the Fancy White People Kroger at Ashton Place in about 15 minutes.

I frequent this Kroger on a weekly basis. I use it for everything from pet supplies to medications and everything in between.I have found that the staff is usually helpful and knowledgeable about product locations in the store. The store is clean and well organized and keeps regular stock on most items.The pharmacy tends to be a little slow and we have had issues with them not having specific medicines in stock (and have to wait a few days or go to another location - but they always call around to find the medications in stock for us).Over all, this is a great kroger that serves the Kanawha Valley

02/01/17 @ around 11:40 On my way home from work I stopped by to get a few things and ended up only getting almond milk and q-tips. I was thinking smarter not harder. I went under the black curly latch to get over to the produce area . Employee (she) said you can't go that way. I said okay, she then kept repeating herself like I was suppose to come back over and go back under and go the right way. I'm not a child! I just kept going. Breathing and thinking happy thoughts. She's over there criticizing me to customers and fellow employees. I passed by her to get q-tips and headed to self checkout. She then comes over to me to explain why I wasn't suppose to go that way. I glanced at her like I'm about to lose it. Bagged my stuff, paid and left. I was sitting in my car with adrenaline pumping and upset. Gathered myself and headed home. You guys need to chill. We're all out here just trying our best and she could've let it be. I could've not been so upset. You block the area around the doors and it's pretty trashy looking but darn if we do and darn if we don't.

The Dunbar store is an absolute mess all the time. Things never get restocked and it's disgusting to the point where tiles are missing from the floor. The management is rude and arrogant. Poor excuse for a grocery store. The building and the management need to be replaces with newer better supplies and people.

This Kroger claims to be open 24 hours a day. after walking a twenty minutes for some antacids for my girlfriend, this rude short haired fat woman informed me they are closed no more than 30 seconds after I see a woman and child leave the store. Everything else within walking distance was closed. Someone should cut her when she leaves.
