Terrible I came into the store to grab 1 item it was a mess as clearly they are changing seasons so very hard to maneuver around the store then I heard one of the associates she may even be the manager hounding a customer about folding chlothes in the section he was getting items from. Telling him it wasn't like that when he found it and instead of asking him nicely, she was completely rude to him and didn't address him directly just kept saying stiff and walking off into another aisle. Completely unprofessional and a turn off as a customer.

Manager is rude and not professional at all. There’s no way any person with such a toxic Attitude should be qualified for any job let alone a management position. ALL customers should be comfortable I don’t think this manager seems to know that.

Tried to use the bathroom here. I work for ASD security and Doller General is a regular customer of the company.Every DG has a public restroom. It is managers discretion to allow public use. They have denied me use. I remember coming here as a child with my Grandma when it was Fa-Chek how the times have changed and I cannot use the facilities here.One star. Period.Dunbar what sad shape you are in. Before long there will be too much theft and you will close this store. Surely, the mayor can step in.42 years I have lived here. It is time to move my family completely away from this type of community.

I had the worst experience here . I went to go shopping to get some stuff I need . I went to get sweatpants & I had to find my size well the manager of this store got mad that I was going through them and kicked me out of the store . I am an everyday customer here . I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or I’m not sure if it’s because of my race but the way I was talked to was very inappropriate all because she had to fold two sweatpants back . If the sweatpants were in order by size I wouldn’t have to be looking for my size this isn’t the first time I had a issue here they will not be getting my money anymore it’s ridiculous

It's a dollar general not too much to say. This place is always fairly clean I personally love the fact they have a larger selection than most dollar generals I have visited. Also the staff here seems to be trained uncharacteristically well for a retail store like this. They are always nice and always ask if you need any help or need extra advice and we'll they are just a good wholesome store to visit overall. I would definitely recommend them to someone needing a bargain!

Store is consistently out of stock of items with freight still in back. Has changed management a couple of times so hopefully this round they can do a better job.UPDATE!!!!The store has went through a major renovation. It looks absolutely gorgeous. The layout is much more customer friendly and the staff provide a much better customer service experience. Great job D.G. I hope you continue the renovation in the near future with a fresh coat of paint on the outside of the building to make the store pop out when you drive by.

There is always a middle aged female in line before me who can't quite grasp the concept of debit card utilization.......Other than that, I shop here sometimes several times a day -everyday.They always have what I need either for my personal use or business.

Cashiers are nice Always super busy. Don't stop if you're in a hurry. One night I stopped in 10 min before they closed. They had already shut down and was sweeping the floor in front of the door and said sorry we are closed.

Just newly remodeled store very nice. Carry lots of nice things.The only thing I don't like is you have to stand in line to check out for so long. Most of the time only one cashier is working

Store looks amazing! Isaiah is always so friendly, Ashley is helpful, Lisa is always smiling, kris is always working hard to stock the shelves and missy is just a delight! (Can you tell I'm in there everyday? Lol,) The new store manager has busted her butt to keep everything in stock during the pandemic....i can't imagine shopping anywhere else.... thank you dunbar DG team for being so wonderful!!!

Store is always a mess. There are never any registers open and when someone does come to the front its only one person and the line is halfway through the store.Update: 12/5/19 Was harassed and profiled while trying to pick up Tylenol for my sick Aunt who has a fever. Was told I needed to leave my purse at the front of the store. I normally go in wearing dress pants and a nice blouse but today looked a little bummy because ive been sick as well.

Isaiah does not incorporate the national 6foot rule and allows other customers to ride your back as you are checking out. Then when you ask him he gets smart and says he's not a babysitter. Very racist and won't ever spend my money here again. God bless Ashley for trying to be reasonable. Corporate was contacted and hopefully some right will some out of this overwhelming horrible problem of racism nationwide.

The only reason I give this store a 2 is becuz of the cashier thank goodness 4 her kindness tonight.. the manager was very rude and talked 2 me like I was in competent becuz I thought a 5 dollar balloon was 2 dollars instead of 5 dollars becuz they had products labeled incorrectly.. I still paid the difference because of course I had the money..its just the way that I was treated that was unacceptable n especially by a manager ..I feel very concerned 4 that cashier :(

It's a nice store to grab some small items in quick. However, the store is consistently trashed due to customers making messes and not enough staff to clean and keep stock out of the aisles.

No carts or even bags half the time. Stock all over the place in the floors a lot. They go through staff like crazy, and a lot of them have been less than helpful. I only go here when I have to, and it's within walking distance.

Never enough employees, and boxes are all over the aisle, which makes it not ADA compliant. They're convenient, but more employees are needed.

Manager is the big tall dude in there. He's the biggest you know what u will ever come across. I'm legally blind and he's told me on numerous occasions he don't have to help me, hence our bad relationship after I decided I wasn't gonna be nice anymore. They rang my card twice once for the same transaction, we didn't know for sure if it did tho, i said I'd come back tom after i check my bank, so he knew there was a possibility ut happened. Well it did. And the next day he refused to refund it without a notary and bank manager signed letter, which is asinine. He knew already he screwed up, so why mess with my money like that, and put the blind man out again. Hes still there, he seems to be a tad racist, homophobic, and his store is dirty.

Ive been going to dollar general everyday looking for a 20lb bag of catfood, still none on shelves. I asked the manager and he said its probably in the back just got a truck. But told me he couldnt go back there to look. I find this unacceptable there needs to be more than one employee working at dunbar wv store. My favorite place to go now i will be going to family dollar in dunbar friendlier service.Thank you Sherri Wells

A better selection than most locations, but it's hard to find what you want. This location used to be a grocery store, so the aisles are laid out differently than other stores.

About as good as a Dollar General can be. Grossly understaffed but what staff there is is friendly and competent, which is about all you can ask for at a DG.
