I dropped off an Rx at 8:30a on 2/12/24 and the guy took so long to tell me when it would be ready that I just said I'd come back that afternoon. Surely, that was enough time to fill it. But at 4p I had to call because my online account said it was STILL in process. They told me it "would be ready in 45 minutes." I came back the next morning (2/13/24) because I wasn't convinced it would be ready. IT STILL WASN'T READY AT 9:45a- more than 24 hours later.I was told it would be "expedited" and be ready in 20 minutes. I sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes. I went inside. IT STILL WASN'T READY. I was told "it's because it's locked up in a safe."The staff is not at all friendly. They are borderline rude. I went to this CVS out of convenience because I have to pick up my Rx on paper from Dunbar Medical right across the street. NEVER AGAIN. I will stick to Saint Albans CVS.

I try to be extra patient with the CVS pharmacy in Dunbar. There is constantly a line all the way out into the road/entrance at almost any time of day, so I understand they are busy. Yesterday evening (3/8), I was treated with the absolute WORST customer service by a very young pharmacy tech working the window. Initially google stated the pharmacy closed at 9, but after looking into it further, I saw that they in fact closed at 8pm. I got there at approximately 7:40 to drop off my mother’s prescription. There were four cars in line, one actually pulling off when I got behind the last car. I sat there thinking to myself how bad I felt even coming so close to closing time, but I knew it would take less than two minutes to hand it to them, verify D.O.B., address and phone number. I obviously didn’t want or need the RX that evening. When I finally got to the window, it was 7:53pm, the pharmacy tech rolled her eyes to the, what I assume to be actual pharmacist, which actually decided to poke her head around from the back and proceeded to roll her eyes as well. The pharmacy tech opens the window and just looks at me. No greeting whatsoever. So I just simply say “I’m sorry, are you guys closed?” And she looks at the clock and says “iiiinnnnnn about 5 minutes, yes.” So I then told her I just wanted to drop off this RX for my mother and she just continues to stare at me… Getting the vibe she obviously wasn’t wanting or even going to ask me for the RX I was holding in my hand, I simply said “okay, I guess I’ll just come back tomorrow.” In which she replies, “uhmmm yeah, that’d be best.” And shuts the window in my face. Like, I totally understand wanting to go home, there is 7 minutes until they closed, but I was in that line 20 minutes prior to them closing and she knew that because I saw her poke her head out of the window when one of the three remaining cars pulled off. I’m not one to complain whatsoever, I like to give praise and compliments… but this isn’t the first time I have been treated poorly at this pharmacy, yet I continued to give it a chance taking into consideration that they may have had a bad day. I have seen so many Facebook posts over the last year asking for recommendations on better pharmacies to use besides CVS in Dunbar along with their issue and/or ongoing issue they experienced at this specific location. This review is simply to bring to upper management’s attention and for other people who frequent this pharmacy, that you are not being targeted, they literally treat almost every customer that poorly. I suggest you just take your prescription next door to Walgreens.

I myself have had my son go to pick up my medications from the Dunbar location. They have been closing their store early. So, it is a waste of his time, my time and very frustrating. I understand that things happen, but this is very unprofessional and causes headaches, stress, and customers need their medications in a timely manner. I did not want to even give this location 1 star.

I swear the pharmacy staff create their own hours. No one is ever available the close early all the time, probably because they can't keep people employed there. I recommend going a Walgreens! The CVS in Dunbar is a joke.

The pharmacy closes randomly and very often. You can talk to them at 2:00 and by 4:00 they’re closed. They don’t tell you nothing, when they are in, staff is very rude and do anything but work except for the pharmacist. I’m sure there are people willing to work.

Without a doubt the most inept unorganized group of people in this valley. Take your scripts elsewhere. You cant get a straight answer from the pharmacist (lauren) and sarah is rude when asking a simple question. This location needs to really clean house ans get it together! You people are going to kill someone

The people in the pharmacy are the most inept bunch I’ve ever dealt with. They never answer the phone, and when you go in person, they act like they’re in slow motion. Just close the doors already.

Went through the slowest moving line in the history of slow lines! Twice! I've been waiting over an hour for one medication. No one is taking charge. Very unorganized. Person working at the register obviously needs help. I've seen better ran pharmacys's in Mexico. Been an hour and a half. Still no prescription. Now I have to come back. No more time to wait.

The lady checking me out helped me out a lot. I'm new to their Carepass membership where I pay $5 a month for extra benefits and they give me $10 to spend in the store every month, plus I had a coupon for 40% off one item and other coupons, she helped me pick out a hairdryer and how to check out correctly so I used my Extra Bucks and coupons. I got a nice, compact, foldable and with cord retraction hair dryer for a little less than $10 out of pocket. Very pleasant experience. I'm glad I decided to start going there, I'm switching to their pharmacy also.

I have to go in 3-4 days in a row, after receiving a text my prescription is ready, and wait to see when they feel like filling it. I am currently on day 4 of it will be ready in 20 minutes. The rudest staff I have ever dealt with in my life. If you try and ask a question about a new prescription, they tell you to call the prescribing doctor.

This pharmacy is by far the worst pharmacy in the area. The only consistent thing about this place is the rude aggressive staff. When you voice the issues you have they tell you to go else where. There have been several times that staff members have announced my medications across the pharmacy. Not to mention they never have anything filled in a timely fashion. I switched to Walgreens and have been so much happier since. Do yourself a favor and don't bother.

EVERY single time I use this pharmacy I have issues. I keep giving more chances bc it’s the closest one to me and convenient. I’ve dropped off simple scripts for antibiotics etc , come back 7 hours later, wait 30-40mins in the drive thru and when I get to the window they say “we are gonna start working on it now , pull around to the end of the line”, where I have to wait in an even longer line. This has happened all 3 times I’ve used the drive through. I went inside once and was told to wait for a steroid cream and 40mins later they tell me I can just buy it over the counter and it would be faster. I’ve used CVS my entire life, and this is the worst one I’ve ever been to.

So rude! Also make you wait an hour even if you call and ask them to get it ready! They say they will expedite it with a smirk. They were always out of pain and heart meds and say you will have to wait 2 to 3 days every time! Can't miss a dose of the heart meds so I switched pharmacies. They also rarely answer their phones and the whole time they are standing around talking! Will never use them again...

CVS Pharmacy is the best ever. The pharmacist Jessuti, Dunbar store is amazing goes beyond and above to make sure that she takes care of her customers. I had a major problem with my prescription and she cleared everything up to make sure I had it like it should be. Thank you so much for employing the best Pharmacist CVS.

I used to love coming here they had such a great staff friendly and helpful. Now they have a new manager and a complete different staff who have no idea what they are doing especially when it comes to coupons. They tried to tell me that paper and digital cannot be combined when for 3 yrs b4 I never had an issue and going to any other location will still accept both. Just dunbar is right by my house and more convenient but won't now they don't have a trained staff.Nowhere in cvs disclaimer and store policy does it say they cannot be combined. This has ended my trips to this location they need to bring Christy back from her knee surgery she was the best!!!

Love this store, the employees are so helpful and always great to help you find whatever you need. Love the manager Kelly, Very clean store an they always are there to help especially when I went to get photos printed off my phone on a different day an didn't know how, a guy was great to teach me. Thanks to Dunbar CVS !!! Your a five star.

EVERYTIME I COME HERE FOR MY RX’s IT TAKES 10 minutes per vehicle to get through this joke of a drive through. They are sooo slow I hate it! Go somewhere else this one in Dunbar is stupid! Been here 20 minutes still have 2 cars in front of me! Fix it CVS!!

Always find what Im there for plus more. Store clean. Good variety of makeup and brand names. I like the seasonal aisles. Pharmacy is always quick. Good variety of hair products. Prices are about the same as other drug stores.

i have alot of medications at this pharmacy & am in there quite often. chris (pharm manager) has always gone above and beyond to help as well as the other pharmacy personnel; they treat everyone well & almost always have you in and out within 15mins. took a long time to find a half way decent pharmacy but i have been happy with this one for quite some time! 😍 --laurenkrisher

Went to get a COVID test only for the computer in the pharmacy to s*** out. It took nearly an hour to get the whole process compete when it should haven taken 5-10 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous.
