We drove 5 hours from VA to Davis WV. Why? Cause it had snow. Out of the places to eat in the area, we chose this one. There were only three staff members providing service to customers and that being said they did an amazing job. With how busy it was and how short staffed they were, they did outstanding. The food was good. Id say my burger could have used a few minutes less on the grill. It was a bit dry and needed some salt.If I had more time in the area I would have ordered more items, but the staff was busy enough.

The service was great and our waitress was super friendly. Not only that, but the food was just as good. It was plenty empty when we had visited for lunch so our food came relatively quick. The trout dip was delicious and the hamburgers as well. Overall, a good choice to eat when visiting the area.Parking: Not a lot of parking around. Didn't have too much of a problem finding parking when I had gone but there is limited street parking. On a busy night it might be hard to find.Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu with good options and portions.

Trout dip is a destination food!!!! The pita is buttery and lightly crisp and soft! We should have eaten more. The chicken pot pie was not a pie, but pot pie filling with a humongous biscuit on top. The filling / stew was kinda sweet. The biscuit was tasty but too big. Hubby got the fried fish ( kinda Long John Siver style). It was good and he liked the fries, but there is rarely a potato he doesn't like! Oh, but Milo's managed it! See that review.Parking: Not a whole lot of parking but adequate.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp, but I didn't find it easy to climb,

My wife and I were driving through this wonderful little West Virginia town and stopped for a late afternoon lunch. We were so glad we chose this spot. The people we met there were very welcoming, and the food was great. We had a trout dip, which was new to my wife and I, and the pita chips were homemade. I enjoyed the homemade chicken pot pie ( back by demand), and my wife enjoyed a fantastic cheeseburger. We met a young couple from New Jersey who had just purchased a vacation home locally, and they also enjoyed this place.

The fish and chips entree was ok, and the beer was good. When I asked for water it was served warm with no ice at all, I had to ask for a cup of ice. The water tasted terrible anyway so I didn't really end up drinking it. It was also strange to be carded as a senior citizen especially from the waitress who didn't look old enough to drink or serve beer!

Was in Canaan for a weekend and hadn’t tried this place out so I figured why not give it a shot and I’m so glad I did. Awesome staff with great attitudes and are on top of it all the time. I had beef tips with rice and bell peppers as well as trout dip which both were phenomenal. Can’t wait to come back to Canaan and stop by here for some great food!

If you're really hungry and do not need high brow cuisine, Wicked Wilderness should get the job done. Our table of 5 ordered appetizers of pepperoni rolls and trout dip. Kudos on the trout dip. The rolls were so so.Our entrees included burgers, spaghetti, fish and chips, and some other dishes. Nothing really stood out as crazy delicious, but it got the job done.

We got burgers, wings, fish & chips. The fried fish was surprisingly good even though it didn’t look like much. The fries ("chips") were excellent… though I was a little surprised to see less fries with the fish than with the burgers. Shouldn’t it have been the other way around, if anything? The burgers were uniformly overdone. We asked for medium, and got well done, and hence almost inedible, unfortunately. The buffalo wings were very good. The other issue we had was that we were expecting the wings to come out as an appetizer, but when we got our entrées, we had to remind the server about our wings. Not that big a deal, but we still have to knock off a point for that.Note, I’m not saying you shouldn’t eat here. The place is really cute, and I always make a point of coming here at least once whenever I’m visiting the area.

They gave us raw chicken for a kids meal, the basics of cooking you would be able to thoroughly cook chicken strips. They also didn’t have all of the items from our order. I know they were busy but serving raw chicken is a health hazard.

The friendliest eatery we've ever been in..Chef Mike makes amazing dishes..pulled pork with Apple moonshine BBQ sauce..Thai noodle salad with spicy peanut sauce & grilled chicken & last but not least..homemade apple crisp with fresh apples..more than worth the 2 hr drive..we'll do it again! Make it a Bucket List priority!

We went to walk around Blackwater Falls and needed a place for lunch with a hungry toddler. The fish and chips were delicious, and the server even let us take some of the Easter treats for my daughter.

The best restaurant we tried in Davis. Ate in the restaurant with good service. Pulled pork sandwich received high marks, very good dish including the cole slaw and fries. The pot pie entree is a larger meal (like a soup with a biscuit on top) while the small size salad is very small. Not a huge menu, but what we ordered was good. Would definitely return!

I ate there with a group and the general consensus was the food was okay but not above that. I had a pot pie which was large enough but could have contained more vegetables and some seasoning. Side salad was average. Others had the ribs, fish and chips, burger and spaghetti. All just average. Service was good and the server very nice. Little to no atmosphere.

Food was ok, nothing special. Chicken pot pie is just a biscuit on a mason jar of creamy chicken soup. Jambalaya and hot dog not bad.

My wife and I stopped for dinner while staying at the canaan resort. Definitely worth the stop. The town, restaurant decor and atmosphere were wonderful. The staff was great, and the food was delicious. We had the chicken pot pie. I'd recommend stopping here for sure.

Very disappointed. My husband ordered a well done steak, and let them know it was way undercooked. We were still charged for his meal, but told they took some off the bill. All they took off was the $1.50 side salad for both my husband and I. We enjoyed the atmosphere, but will not be returning if they can not make mistakes “right”. Sad.

Slow and very confused service. Food okay. Atmosphere felt old and dirty... Christmas decor up in early October.

We visited this place and loved the food here. We had chicken pot pie, pizza, salad and garlic bread. Everything was just perfect and customer service was nice. Loved the ambience of this place. Davis is an old town so you will get only few options to hangout. The ale was out of the world.

My Mother, my 2 daughters, my aunt and I was there for a mother's day and birthday weekend back in May stop at Wicked Wilderness pub for dinner and the service was awesome and the waitress was so lovely Cindy was her name I told her that it was my mom and Aunts birthday she went into the back and brought out a cake for them. The food was so good that we came back the next day for some more food and bought five t-shirts from them. next time we come to town we are definitely going back
