Wow! This beer is amazing. Some crafts make me sinusesy but not here and this beer tastes great. Very welcoming. We made friends and enjoyed our visit. Bartender is great and helpful with tastings. The town is historic and charming. I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place in historic Davis, WV. They do not offer flights, but they have some amazing brews, so choose wisely. Here I had the Lefty Lucy American Amber Ale and the Righty Tidy Belgian Dubbel. I seriously didn't select them based on the names, but rather on what I like to drink, it just turned out that way. Haha!

Always a stop when we are in Davis. The bartenders are friendly, attentive and helpful when trying to decide which direction to go. Their beers on tap are fabulous and their selection of ciders from Hawk Knob is on point! Patrons are equally as fabulous and interesting as the town!!

After a great day outdoors this is a great brewery to visit in WV. The location is great and the staff is awesome. We watched the WVU game there and were able to try all their beers - all were very good. I really enjoyed the imperial stout. The brewery is kid friendly and have games and puzzles available for family fun.

If you are staying in Davis, WV or are just traveling through to visit Black Water Falls make sure to stop at the local brewery right on Main Street. The quality of the ales are top of the line microbrews. The staff was friendly and attentive. Py

WARNING: if you are not a local/towney, you will be treated like ABSOLUTE GARBAGEI visited Stumptown and was looking forward to watching March Madness over a few beers. All was well until the manager decided to change the channel to corgi racing and then a talk show that nobody requested to watch. While trying to settle my bill a “regular” at the bar started aggressively chanting “Goooo (insert opposing team name)!!!” in my face. The manager/bartender couldn’t have cared less and was extremely rude.So, if you are not obviously a regular at the bar, you will likely be targeted and treated like trash.AVOID Stumptown, the bars in Thomas are far more welcoming and friendly.

Welcoming community watering hole with a solid variety of microbrews. Particularly enjoyed the ‘citra’ influenced offerings. Don’t go hungry, they do not regularly offer food service. However, they did seem open to people bringing their own snacks.

This place is amazing. The beer is delicious, I tried several and was impressed with each and everyone of them. Service was great, bartenders were friendly. The entire atmosphere of the place was great as well. I can't wait to go back, this is definitely a place I would recommend to everyone.

Spectacular beer! I was in town for a few days and made it a point to come in at least once each day. Great atmosphere, although the music is a bit "young" for me. Very friendly and attentive staff. Overall wonderful experience!

A lively place to grab a beer or wine (wine list is short) . I had the Belgian Double Ale. Outstanding flavor and smooth. Hit this place up during the week as the weekends fill this little bar up quick!

I loved this place. I've been to too many breweries where everything served is full of off flavors or just tastes bad, has no hop flavor or aroma, etc.As a beer judge and beer brewer, this place is SOLID. Every beer I had was spot on to style and tasted great. We came three nights in a row, and I wish I was in town longer. We're planning another trip to the area and we'll definitely be back.

The main reason I ride the motorcycle into WV.... Stumptown Ales and Siriannis' pizza. Stumptown has awesome IPAs. Hippie is my favorite but the Multiple Hopgasm double IPA is amazing as well but 8%+. Seriously take all of the beautiful drives to get here and find a place to stay or camp. It is well worth it.

Great local beer options. I’m an IPA lover and tried all of there options. I didn’t dislike any of them, Hopgasm was my favorite. They even have some options canned so you can get it to go.

My first time in and super stoked. The people were nice and the beer was delicious. We had 3 different IPAs and they were all really good. Got a growler of the hazy and off we went. We’ll definitely come back. 😊

Neat little brewery. Smallish inside but that shouldn’t stop you from stopping by. I had an excellent Pilsner (can’t remember the name) and also at the end of the night I had a stout which was tasty. She drank some cider and also enjoyed it. We will be guests again at this place for sure

I'm from out of town and stumbled upon Stumptown Ales while visiting Blackwater Falls Park. Ran in to grab a 4-pack right at opening. My one complaint is that they don't always have a ton to offer in cans and I don't always have an empty growler on me. Overall, I am happy I discovered this place because that Holy Citra IPA is gooooood. I'm not even a fan of IPAs!

If you're looking for good beer with a welcoming atmosphere, then you'll find it here. They even had mead.The place has a unique style but is clean. 10-12 can sit at the bar and the tables can accommodate another 15-18 easily.If you have a person who doesn't drink, they have bottled water and soda products for them.If you want to take some beer home, they have growlers available.

Our trips to Canaan aren't complete without a trip to Stumptown and seeing Kelley, Cindy, and Zach. The beers are some of the best I've had. The staff and the majority of the patrons are friendly and accommodating. You will see all walks of life here, and they are all treated the same. We've shared a beer and become friends with many people over the years, locals and tourists alike. Stop in, be kind, tip well, and make some friends.

Awesome beer! Great atmosphere. I met the owner and her family, very nice! Great beer. The wood inside of the restaurant is very cool since the town was founded on timber production. I did wish they did flights but they do let you try whatever you would like before getting it. I got a dessert style beer and the citra beer. Both great.

Wish it wasn't a pandemic so I could try everything! As it is, I had one beer inside with their limited seating. I didn't feel comfortable staying inside unmasked for longer. The bartender made a good recommendation based on my flavor preferences. I also got some cans to go and had another of their beers on tap at Wicked Wilderness. If I ever visit again and it's not a pandemic, I will gladly try everything they have!

Fantastic beer! Tried them all, really enjoyed the Russian Imperial! Bought a growler of Holy Citra and it was terrific even a few days later! Great service and atmosphere! I will definitely come back for more.
