4 stars simply because they're the only major food store we have locally. Prices can be outrageous and navigating the store during peak shopping times can be a hassle. The employees are usually helpful and polite. Meat selection can be limited especially during peak shopping times. I would really love for Kroger to get more competition out here other than Walmart.

Most of the employees there are nice and friendly willing to help u with finding an item bagging ur groceries taking ur buggy to ur car and even unloading it for you. They have online ordering and they will bring ur items right out to ur car when u get to the store they are a grocery store with a pharmacy but they also have a bakery and deli.. they can cash paychecks they also sale tobacco and alcohol products

Self checkout is horrible customer service 9/10 times. (Mostly when Shelia is working) Highly disrespectful to customers, blatantly belittling my wife and I while paying, as well as ignoring us, making it an effort to interrupt and talk over us, and walking away before she even unlocked the self scan register from the “help needed” page 3 TIMES, which was never fixed by her, we had to walk over to another employee to preform Sheila's job, which was then reported to the manager due to the level of blatant disrespect that was shown.EVEN AFTER the other employee assists us, Shelia makes it a point to come back and interrupt us AGAIN, trying to “instruct us” how to pay, when she was told at that point we do not want her service, to please refrain from standing so close I can feel your breath on my neck. Kroger needs to fire this liability, and retrain everyone who has any doubts on how to provide FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE. As for the manager & other employee who helped us, they were amazing & professional as could be. Shelia could learn a thing or two from them.It’s also sad that Kroger feedback website would not allow me “enough words” to type and describe what I was highly dissatisfied with in my service, so I had to post here.

The cake was made sloppy and the editable photo was green. The edges were not even coated. The cake and icing was dry and nasty. The designs were carelessly done. I was disappointed.

I shop here on occasion but today I did all of my shopping here. I will be shopping at this Krogers from now on. The employees are so kind and friendly. They help you with anything you need help with. Amber, my cashier was the best. Helped me with everything. Thank you for being such a great place to shop.

Store is clean and easy to navigate. Employees are very nice, always willing to help. Products are always available, shelves are stocked neatly. Cashiers are always at register's. Love that the store doesn't close until 11PM.

Everyone seems to go out of their way to help the customer. U can use EBT and healthy living from insurance too. This is for the store/food section. Not thrilled with the pharmacy. I'll be nice and leave it at that.

Tight fit trying to get into the store. Lots of clutter block the main entrance inside and out. The inside was poorly laid out but was stocked nicely with lots of items. Bakery items were also set up awkwardly but the items we purchased tasted better than most Kroger stores we've visited. We had issues with flat soda we purchased, but no other issues. The store is overdue for remodel from the looks of the outside appearance and the inside dinginess but overall was a good store stop for a quick few items.

I love going to Kroger. They have very friendly cashiers and office management there. Only problem I have with them is they don't restock there selves til after closing. If they're having a good sale going on their selves empty quickly so then they have a lot of bare selves which to me makes it look bad, and that their stock people look lazy. Js

Even if I had other choices I would still shop at this Kroger's. Clean, great staff, and the prices are very good. There is one thing though. Due to the location, the produce can be limited when looking for some items. Like ghost peppers, scotch bonnets, and special ingredients. And yes one more thing that I Almost forgot. No Teays Valley mixes for baking or making gravy. What's up with that.?

I most of my shopping here. It's clean, and carries everything I need and the meat selection is great. It has self check out registers, and the cashier's are always friendly.

Since I now know how to use the self checkout, I don't have to worry about messing with Que-Vision. I can simply go over to the checkout, and place my items on the scanner. Then bag them if I like. It is not a hard thing to do. But what makes me feel uncomfortable coming through the lines is that I feel a little rushed and I know the cashiers feel rushed because they have to follow a certain speed. If they don't make that speed they get an intervention, even though most of the time your speed depends on how long the customer stays. So if I would stay in someone's line with one order that takes 15 or more minutes to go through, I'm costing them a lot of time on their ring tender. So I usually try to get through it fast enough to make sure they still maintain a good ring tender. I like using self-checkout because it's easy and simple. But it can be difficult on the employee working it when they try to help a customer out on it, and all four are messing up at the same time. Causing you to have to stop with one customer and go to others. If you don't get to them fast enough they start to get irritated with the checkout itself and you for not being there fast enough. Sometimes there aren't enough baggers, so cashiers are left stranded with no help. Especially on the first few days of the month. It made it difficult on them to get their lines moving and also maintain good que-vision. The closing crew is rather small. They only allow threepeople on the closing crew starting at 10 or 10:15. Causing a massive hit to the speed and ring tender of the only remaining cashier, especially if the closing carryout is occupied with other things to do. Orders come through being a full buggie and you have to watch them struggle to bag your groceries as they try to keep everything at a steady pace. At that point the cashier is running 5 registers at once, so if something messes up on them all, that cashier isn't going to be able to help them all. Positive sides though include lots of produce options, as well as a variety of different foods. Lots of different freezer food options. And they really help with gas points. Right now the store is under a remodel, so hopefully it'll be a different environment when everything is completely finished. As long as the managers are respectful to the employees, everything should go smoothly.

Madison WV Kroger has improved greatly over the past few years. Carrying more variety and fresher produce and dairy. I'm getting used to the new layout. Sort of.

Too many things out of stock. Not a new problem, has been that way for years. Definitely plan on stopping somewhere else to FINISH your grocery shopping.

They have been remodeling so it's kindof a mess right now but looking nice. Now at the service desk, good luck getting any service quickly. I felt ignored!

I like the selections, they have good promotions and discounts. But at certain times the the wait in line is ridiculously long and sometimes the shelfs are not well stocked.
