I purchased a faulty water heater from this business and when providing a receipt upon return they took the water heater back then refused to refund my money, it cost me over $500 and during the Christmas holidays! I don’t have the money for a new water heater so what am I supposed to do for hot water now? Terrible customer service, very unprofessional and unfriendly. I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Pitiful.

We visited this location looking for some paint. Upon walking into the store, an older gentleman who worked there was having a personal conversation with a customer while we waited for assistance. I thought nothing of it…at first. Minutes passed by, and the employee just looked at me as he continued talking. Still no offer for assistance. No regard. Finally, when he was finished talking, the man asked if I needed help. When we told him we needed some paint, he directed us to another employee who was talking on the phone at the counter in the back of the store. He looked at us and said unapologetically “It’s going to be a few minutes” before going back to his phone conversation. Five minutes later he finished his phone call. The gentleman was indifferent to helping us, but he did. Absolutely no employee seemed to care that we were there. Terrible service.

Don’t waste your time going anywhere else! I needed a 1/2 x 3/8 flare fitting to connect my propane line which was 3/8 to my flex hose which was 1/2. Even after showing pictures, every place I stopped yesterday including Means Limber, were completely perplexed even saying I likely needed to go to a specialty propane dealer.Today I went to Priddy’s and even took my old gas logs to show how the inlet was previously on the left, but the new logs had the inlet ion the right necessitating the 1/2 flex pipe that I now needed to connected with he 3/8 propane line. The gentleman at the service desk ( I wish I had got his name) knew within seconds what I needed. Within minutes of arriving home, I had our new propane logs up and running.Thank you very much for your knowledge and excellent customer service. I will go out of my to purchase all of my hardware needs from your store.

I will never shop here. As a painting contractor new to the area, I have never had such an unprofessional experience and this was on the telephone! A local advertisement on the radio said ACE was running a special on Valspar paint. They have not chosen to participate in this free advertisement. I then asked how much a gallon would run me at there location. Very condescending, the woman said "Honey we have different kinds" No kidding!!! Then they didn't carry the kind I was looking to purchase. Way to go customer service! No wonder you're in financial problems. If you want to compete with the nation large chains, you should give that extra attention...not less.Lost this contractors business and I'm sure many more. Zero stars!!Forgot to add I asked if there were any ACE hardware stores in the area and the lady told me TO GOOGLE IT!!!

Max Priddy deserves five stars. I have shopped at his stores for years as well as his two brothers' store. They compete with the big box stores easily and you don't have to load your own lumber or push a heavy cart around. I'm not an employee. Their father worked at Carolina for years and was also a gentleman. They DO close on Sundays too. Highly recommend them from an o-ring to a house kit.
