I've been purchasing my building materials from Lowe's over the past 30 years. As a contractor or just an everyday customer you expect to be treated with courtesy and respect however that was not the case at the Clarksburg store. After dealing with a couple of the Associates in one of the managers I don't think I would ever go back to that particular .store. Now I know why a lot of my colleagues are going to Home Depot or Menards for their building projects

Employees are helpful (but sometimes not that easy to find). I usually shop online and pick my order up unless I need to ask someone a question. I’ve always had positive experiences at Lowe’s.

I had applied for a job at Lowe’s I answered all the questions and listed my disabilities. I was hired I worked there for 2 weeks finished training. Then I was told by Christina that Lowe’s does not hire disabled people and that I should have never applied. She is currently either a manager or an assistant manager in charge of hiring. I feel like that was discrimination against disabled people. I was very honest about my disabilities before being hired. She hired me anyway then told me Lowe’s doesn’t hire disabled people?????

Associate at self check out was very rude would not help me out at all or explain to me how to use the virtual card that gentleman had a very bad attitude didnt catch his name these employees need to learn how to interact with customers. This happened on 12/31/2023 at 11:50 am at clarksburg wv

When I go to Lowes I always look for one employee, Jason, because he has never failed to be not only knowledgeable but friendly, kind, patient, and understanding. A part broke on my power washer. He went out of his way and above and beyond to help me figure it out and order the part for me. I am so appreciative and grateful. He is definitely a rare find!!

Was suppose to get a upright freezer delivered delivery driver could not find my house so instead of calling and asking for directions he waited until he got all the way back up to the warehouse and Pennsylvania and had the manager up there to call to reschedule my appointment very very dissatisfied spoke to Aaron and Chad on the phone and neither one of them really cared said since they wasn't able to find my house due to GPS there's nothing more they could have done. Will definitely be going to home Depot for the rest of my appliances

This is one of if not the Best Lowes stores I have ever even to.And I drove Truck cross country for 30 years and I've been to many Lowes but non were as helpful and no other was stocked with supplies as good as Clarksburg wv.This store is on point and the employees do a great job to help find what I need and help any way they can loading the truck

We needed a 15/16 plywood sheet cut to 60"x40" & 48"x36" & 8"×36" & 8"×4" it was a lot of cuts for a $30 piece of wood. however, LEVI was so nice to my sister and I and did it without any questions or complaints. I just want to recognize the outstanding young man that he is and the wonderful customer service experience that we had because of this exceptional young man! As single older ladies in our late 60's we really appreciate this service. It is one of the many reasons we will continue to shop at Lowes in Clarksburg, WV. Thank you again Levi!!!

Box stores have run local hardware out so we have lost service along with knowledgeable advice. Not interested in the consumer only profit. Lacks adequate staff, it is for contractors.

I have always shopped at Lowes and enjoy browsing sometimes just to get ideas for home improvement from their large variety of quality merchandise, but I happened to visit memorial day weekend and saw an employee taking great care to make a visually appealing display in the veterans dedicated parking spot in honor of service personnel who are no longer with us and I had to share.

Completely disappointed stove was broken bent missing pieces. Had to go back up. But end over end all day spent they make it up. By selling me a high more and better stove. Highly unrealistic of Lowes. Very disappointed

Can’t take my kid there between July and October because he’s absolutely terrified of the ridiculously grotesque Halloween decorations on display as you walk through the front door. I’m all about scary decorations, but why do they need to be on display for everyone including 3 year olds to see? I just need a freaking part, not a screaming toddler too

I’m not real happy with the garden center today. I arrived at 7:40 last night and the gates were open. By the time I walked up to the gate they had locked the doors. I asked the blonde haired girl why they locked the doors when the sign clearly says they are open until 8? She said the register is just closed, you can still enter from the store. So I did and hauled my pavers through the store to the one register open. The overwhelmed clerk had been waiting for some time on someone to bring her a code to give a veteran a discount (which also seems strange since I’m sure a military discount is not an uncommon thing here), so I looked the pavers up for her in the book. She wasn’t with the garden center either lol. I know everyone is short staffed but please follow the posted signs that you’re open for us late minute projects people lol. Do better

I still don't like how dark it feels. LED upgrades, and if you have them, something else. Otherwise, things seemed well stocked, decent number of employees running around. Wood seemed pretty strait to... since that's a normal struggle. Options and stock and employees get 5 stars, but I still hate the lighting, so 4.

Shawna, in plumbing was a fantastic help! She knew her stuff in the plumbing department. Skyler, needs certified to run equipment. We waited 45 minutes on a grill, because he had to wait on another employee to help move things. We should have been offered a discount for having to wait so long!

Upon entering I asked female employee was standing outside the customer service area... I asked if she could help me find a specific heater I had seen advertised on line... She immediately said follow me. We proceeded to the back of the store. The department was busy. She showed me the one she thought I was referring to... But, that wasn't the choice I wanted to make... There was a gentleman standing to the side.. He became very very helpful and very big on the findings of my specific heater. He showed where exactly they were... But ya place of business was currently sold out of item.

My go-to for home improvement, gardening and wild bird supplies. Staff are always willing to help, and if they can’t, they’ll get someone who can. The store is well-organized, too, unlike some locations.

Let me start this review by stating that the company that I work for spends thousands at Lowe’s weekly but we normally use different locations.. from Morgantown WV to north of Pittsburgh and the staff and management are normally top notch. But, the location in Clarksburg on Emily Dr was horrendous today. We had bought a trim crew a new air compressor a few months ago. In the middle of a job today, the compressor motor burned up. Not a big deal.. normally. Today I took the compressor back to the customer service desk to try to swap it out.. just like we’d normally do at any other location. I got the pleasure of meeting the WORST customer service rep that I’ve ever met. I can’t remember her name but she had the worst attitude ever. We were just a few days past some 90 mark and she refused to try to help in any way. She wasted over an hour of my valuable time which cost my company a good bit of money. We’d normally get what we’d need and pay over the phone. Not with her, she refused. Told me I’d have to have my boss order it over the phone which he did immediately after being told to do so. She couldn’t tel me when the order would be ready or anything. It finally came down to me having to piece my own online order together. In the middle of all that bs, the nicest girl helped me out (sierra I believe?) helped me complete my order and got me out the door without having to deal with that confrontational woman again. If she doesn’t know how to treat the general public, she doesn’t belong in a customer service type job. After talking with my boss, we’ll be doing business with Home Depot… at least when working in Clarksburg/Bridgeport. They actually value the business that contractors give them. To the woman that helped me complete my internet order today, thanks again!

Love the selection because it's Lowe's of course however their staff is below par and has been for years. The employees are rude (when they do offer their assistance) and management was even worse... Don't ever lose your receipt or you'll be treated like a criminal upon trying to return an item!! I'd rather drive to Westover Lowe's for any input on their products than deal with Clarksburg staff again.
