I recently had the pleasure of visiting Stray Dog Antiques in downtown Charleston, West Virginia, and I cannot recommend it enough. What a gem!!! I came in to this shop figuring I'd just walk around and window shop, but I ended up leaving with a bag full of beautiful jewelry and a smile on my face. The staff were so sweet and helpful, making conversation and sharing the coolest stories about how they source the items they sell. I'm so glad I stopped by and I will absolutely be coming back in the future. P.S. Check out their Instagram! They post all kinds of neat finds!!

Very cool antique store! Eclectic collection, ranging from small nick-knacks to genuinely high quality, historic pieces. The highlight when I visited was an original, 19th century Massachusetts brothel bathtub! The store is also pretty well organized and the staff are really friendly and personable. Whether you're a local or just swinging by Charleston, I would definitely pay Stray Dog a visit!

The most interesting collection of curios and antiques in town. Beautifully arranged and curated with very reasonable pricing.The man tending the store, David, was so helpful and interesting to talk to that it's worth a visit just to stop in and chat with him.

The staff of Stray Dog Antiques are uniformly polite and helpful. I have bought both costume and fine jewelry, a lace tablecloth, gifts for friends from the delightful collections of silver spoons, and clothes (snagged a gorgeous purple vest beribboned in many colors woven across the front); also hardware for a chest of drawers, among other treasures up to the third floor.Browsing here can be a treat all by itself!

They are the nicest people, and have the coolest stuff! We always stop in to shop whenever we can. Stray Dog also donates frequently to the Boone Animal Rescue Coalition in Boone WV. We love Stray Dog Antiques!

Our favorite vintage store we found while in West Virginia - a charming shop! Three floors full of a vast variety of finds, we ended up chatting with the owner for a little while and she had such great recommendations on local sights, etc.

This place is 2.5 floors! Much bigger than I had anticipated upon walking in. (Stairs are in the back right corner) Overall it is a very nice antique shop! Gorgeous selection of rocks and minerals. The furniture is also very unique and eclectic and would be great for someone looking to make a themed room. They also have a large selection of vintage clothing and small decor pieces. The prices are very reasonable so I highly recommend visiting this place if you are in the Charleston area.

Gentleman stated it is store policy to leave handbags with him if I was to go check out items on the second floor. I found it very odd but when a couple entered after me the same policy wasn’t regurgitated to them as he was introducing the store to them. Please don’t make presumptions. They are not in good taste irrespective of the individual on the receiving end.

This place is a goldmine. The gentleman who was here when I visited was beyond friendly and personable. The selection of vintage clothes made me giddy- super high quality and priced reasonably. Excellent selection of glassware, linens, books, artwork... truly, a 5 star antique store experience!

If I could give this store 10 stars I would. It is my favorite place. I love it. The place is full of things I love. Whomever buys for this store likes the same things I like!! I posted some of the amazing things I purchased from this store including a Yugoslavian wedding cup…going back for certain.

My boyfriend and I wandered in, looking to find old books to repurpose for art projects. We bought 4, but when the owner found out we were using them for art, she gave us at least 20 more books (perfect for our projects) for free! She was so nice and funny... I highly recommend this place!
