The owner, Steve Basham, is a very experienced and knowledgeable ASE certified master technician. He runs a very good crew of skilled technicians who take great pride in their work. They fixed my cargo van quickly while keeping me informed and making sure the job was done right. I am incredibly indebted to the hard-working staff here. Last night I hit debris in the highway which caused my car to blow a tire and begin leaking oil. When I arrived here early in the morning, they were very understanding and assured me they would strive to get me back on the road as soon as they could. Not to mention their ability to squeeze me in on what appears to be an already very busy day for them. Went for an inspection. Had to replace the windshield wipers and bulbs in the license plate lights. Very thorough inspection. Took awhile, but it gives one peace of mind knowing the vehicle they are driving is safe.

I went to that car rapair plase, and boy, it was like a maze of roarin' engine magicians! They spoke in a mystreious talk of lugnuts and sparkplugs, but I'll be ding-danged if they didn't get my jalopy purrin' like a caffeinated cat on a pogo stick. The head mechancin with a backwards baseball hat, done some serious alchemy under the hood, and now my car runs smoother than a buttered up slide in a rainbow factory. It was all kinda confuzzlin', but at the end of the day, I droved off with a grin wider than a hot dog at a wiener circus. five stars, thank you steve n stacy!!!

They were wonderful after a rocky start. I had a stripped bolt connected to brakes (something like that) & he said it would be 16.00 to evaluate and could be 50.00+ to remove old and put on the new. They never came back w quote but charged me the 16 and took care of it. I appreciate it so much. I'll be back! Thanks!

I took my truck in for a simple oil change and thankfully I checked under the hood a few weeks after the oil change because they never put the cap back on after they filled it with oil. It spewed oil all over the engine bay and caused a mess. Now I have to buy a new cap and hope that there isn't too much damage caused to the engine. Definitely check under the hood immediately after getting a vehicle serviced here. Never again will I take my vehicles here.

I was hearing a pronounced hum under my car when ever a hit about 55mph. I took my car to Steve and Stacy's to have it looked at. They said the hum was coming from the transmission. Even said they got up under it with a stethoscope or something to listen inside. Not knowing anything about a CVT transmissions I trusted their judgement. They also said a rear shock was beginning to leak. So they call the warranty ace with an estimate. The warranty is only gonna pay for what they are used to paying in similar situations. So I would have had to pay over 1000$ for a car with two warranty and only had car for two months. So I took it to Nissan service and they called back and turns out there isn't anything wrong with the transmission.its just a bearing. And they couldn't find a shock leak anywhere. There couldn't have been any mistake on diagnosis. this was just them being shady on their dealings. Anyone that goes to Steve and Stacy's for service should get a second opinion because they are clearly ok with scamming people

After my car broke down moving with my cat from VA to OH, the tow-truck brought me here. I was stuck in Charleston with my cat on a rainy day, and this shop squeezed me in to diagnose why my car broke down so I could figure out my next steps. The people here were incredibly kind and answered all of my stupid questions. The pricing was totally fair and I was amazed at how fast they worked. On one of the worst days of my life, I was lucky that the tow-truck brought me to this location. They were incredibly friendly, and they were able to take a look at my car on the same day I called them. When I (poorly) described the problem I was having, they understood what I was talking about, and they made sure I wasn’t driving the car very far to get there. (My engine could have overheated. Thanks for looking out!) They even asked if I needed a ride when I dropped my car off.As a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars, I’m mindful of the idea that some mechanics might try to charge me for services I don’t really need. Steve & Stacy’s didn’t do that at all. I went in knowing I needed an oil change in addition to the leak I’d asked them to look at, and they didn’t even try to sell one to me when it would have been legitimate. (I told them I already had plans for additional maintenance later on, so it’s not like they just missed it.) In fact, my bill ended up being much lower than I expected (like less than $20), and I barely had to wait.Overall I can’t recommend them enough!

Travelling through WV, my family and I struck some road debris damaging a tire beyond repair. We were able to make it to Steve and Stacy's on the spare and they were able to help us out with a replacement tire and requisite installation services quickly and professionally. I love this place! My mother and I have been bringing our vehicles to them for the past ten years. We have presented them with some well worn cars (10 + years and 200,000+ miles) and they have performed miracles to keep them safely on the road. I know mechanics in the area that will do the work for less, but the quality of their work is well worth it. I feel much safer driving my vehicle knowing they did the work on it. Thank you guys.

We were in WV visiting and my wife’s car wouldn’t start. I had it towed to a dealership and they told me it was a fuel pump and sending unit that needed replaced. They said it would be $1350.00. I called Steve & Staci’s and asked them for a quote for repair. They promptly called back and said it would be $550. Needless to say I got it towed again and had them to complete the work. Tire was low on air. Went to 5 different places to get air in my tire with no success. Luckily, and thank the Lord, they offer free air! They offered to put the air in for me, and I told them that was not a problem, I could put it in. They stated if I still had trouble let them know. The light did not go off and considering I live in the country and stopped by 5 places this morning trying to get air, I elected to have them go ahead and check. They pulled it in right away, checked and cleared for me! With no charge! Thank you so much for the help and peace of mind! And for offering free air! :)Service: Tires

When my minivan wouldn't start, Steve and Stacy's first quoted me on a replacement starter and a couple other fixes related to ignition at 1100 bucks. It was an old van and so we considered it totalled and turned it over to them rather than paying for a tow to the scrap yard. I then went back to get my replacement vehicle inspected, which ran perfectly fine, they quoted me at 2000 bucks to pass inspection, stating any one of those fixes would cause it to fail. I then went to Copley's, who passed my vehicle for under 200 bucks. Copley's inspects state vehicles and assured me that their passing sticker is the same standard they hold state vehicles to. I feel Steve and Stacy's was hustling me. I can't help but feel quoting 10x the amount for a passing inspection is borderline criminal, and I regret turning my van over to them because why wouldn't I assume that quote was also grossly over inflated. I would stay far away from this place and I wouldn't trust their quotes, definitely get a second opinion.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

I currently live out of state about 15 hrs away and broke down due to my radiator. They had me in and out within 4 hrs and got me back on the road to continue my trip. Francis, specifically was the best of help and very professional and kind. If I lived in the area this where I would be taking my vehicle everytime. Great service , great staff!

I had an emergency engine problem on the interstate which prompted me the nearest service repair center or Steve and Stacys service. They helped me get a tow to there station, because I was traveling they worked me into the schedule and found a spark plug blown completely out of the engine. The not only were able to make the repair and had me on the road by the end of the day but the shuttled my around and the charge at the end of the day was extremely reasonable. They are trustworthy and very good people. I am very greatful and very very lucky to have found them. Very highly recommend.Service: Engine repair

Untrustworthy and over priced!I took my vehicle in to have an estimate done a couple weeks ago. Joe is the name on the estimate... he told me it would be $2,000 to replace the front struts, 1 caliper, brake line, new brakes all the way around, and do an alignment. He said my vehicle was not safe to drive and he didn't think it would even be worth it to fix it due to "high mileage" (it's a 2011 chevy traverse w 175k on it and I commute less than 1 mile) He told me I just needed to park it somewhere or trade it in at Enterprise. My guess is he has a buddy over at Enterprise and was trying to use scare tactics to get me to make a rash decision.It worked because I was very upset but luckily a friend suggested Scott's Auto in Clendenin and they gave me an estimate of $1,200 to do the exact same thing and said there wasn't anything wrong w my brake line. I would not recommend Steve and Stacy's to do anything since they are so eager to try to take advantage of people.Y'all really need to take a minute to take a step back and THINK about the impact YOU have on your customers lives. You never know what someone is going through and learning that your only mode of transportation is a lost cause has the potential to send someone who is already at the end of their rope over the edge.

originally had a 5 star but its now a one star.. went in for an inspection sticker and the first thing they do is check the oil he realized my oil was low before he checked any lights or brakes never took one tire off to check anything i had to tell him about a light that was out and then they took 20 mins to figure that out mind you i can legally inspect cars myself just so you know,they wanted to charge me close to 100$ for an inspection and oil change what happon to the good people that acually care for your safetybeen trying to find a place closer to where i live but i guess ill just have to drive to south charleston down to Chestnut street auto where they care about your safety and your wallet.

On Friday June 16th 2023 , I went here for a state inspection sticker that was 14.77$ , only to be told my car had all these issues that where not true, because after I left I went somewhere else and got what I needed and I told them the issues I failed for and they went over everything and assured me all I needed was a headlight bulb ! Steve and Stacey’s then decided to charge me MORE THAN THE ACTUAL INSPECTION WAS WORTH 19.05 for a SAFETY CHECK THATS MORE THAN THE ACTUAL INSPECTION WHAT A JOKE MY CAR WAS ON A LIFT SO I PAID AND LEFT ???? THEY NEVER EVEN REMOVED THE WHEELS AND MY CAR WAS IN THE BAY FOR LESS THAN 10 minutes ! I ADVISE PEOPLE THAT LOOK LIKE ME NOT TO GO HERE !!! They took advantage of me IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE when I was down and out !!!!!

They should have fixed my air-conditioning right the first time! I should get my back for fixing nothing! And to the warranty people which I got lied to, 3 different companies, Paylink does one thing, Endurance does another, & Auto Assure does another! The warranty company didn't tell me that! And no money down, they lied to me! All I need is one honest warranty company!!!!!
