I’ve been to Rock City numerous times over the past 5-6 years. I’ve always had great service and great food. I’ve gone there for random sweet cravings, birthday cakes (lemon with blueberry & vanilla with sprinkles) and holiday boxes (love the Christmas assortments and strawberries on valentines).One of the best experiences I’ve had lately was when I called to have an order delivered to my work in South Charleston on a day they were having a $1 special. I told them I wanted 2 dozen assorted boxes, that I didn’t have a preference but that our office liked fruity stuff and chocolate/PB. They FILLED two boxes and still make the delivery before 5, even though they were slammed. The selection was perfect and I got to try some new goods! Highly recommend calling for random assortments.My personal favorite items: strawberry pie, peanut butter/choc brownies, cake balls (Peanut butter, butterfinger, lemon), cinnamon rolls and FRUIT PIZZAS.

Best bakery on the planet! Anything and everything you can imagine to satisfy your sweet tooth, but my favorite is the amazing cupcakes! The flavors are incredible. You can also get the best specialty cakes with amazing artwork! They are so creative, the atmosphere is so fun, and the most friendly people you’ll ever meet! Best bakery in the area, hands down!

I cannot say enough about this wonderful place! They have went out of their way for me so many times! My daughter wanted black skull cupcakes for her birthday last minute and they were amazing! My best friend needed a rushed wedding cake and Morgan made the most magical cake I’ve ever laid eyes on! I will never be able to thank Rock City enough for how great they have been to me and my family!

We love Rock City Bakery. We lived in Gettysburg and my husband always insists on making this part of our trip, dragging other family members and anyone else who’s never been yet. Its a unique experience. Its a little bit bakery, little bit music venue with pop culture memorabilia sprinkled on top.They have an insane variety and quantity of baked goods during events and holidays. We went after Valentines Day last week and they had a countertop of sale items. We got puff pastries, brownies, cake pops, cake push ups, long johns, fruit covered cheesecake and my favorite, the fruit pizza. They were stocking the cake display with custom made cakes for birthdays that were so cute! The staff there have always been friendly and fun to joke around with.They also have bands now and then as well as comfortable seating. Its a nice place to take a book or to catch up on remote work while having a snack. We’ve never ordered drinks while, but if they dont have coffee, Taylor Books down the street has some. The library is across the street. Everything you need to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon.Definitely a place we come back to over and over.Kid-friendliness: We always come with a full crew of littles. They are always friendly and talk to themWheelchair accessibility: I am disabled and bring my service dog in with me when we come. No stairs, comfortable chairs and couchwith coffee table.

Weird decorations between old movies, rock stars and old stage setup. Bakery didn't have much to offer. Bought cake pops, but I should say dough pops as it wasn't cooked to a cake before dipping in icing. Bought an apple turnover. It wasn't a good birthday cake place. Just an old vibe with not much to offer in the way of a birthday cake.Parking: parallel parking in front of store.

Every time I go to Rock City, I leave with a tray of goodies! They always go the extra mile to make something different and provide a wide variety of treats in their case. One of my favorite treats is the butter bar! AMAZING! 🤩They also make amazing custom cakes. Cortney is a magician when it comes to creating beautiful edible art!The atmosphere is nothing like your regular bright pink bakery, which makes it that much cooler in my opinion. It’s important to note this is also a music venue. I’ve hosted several parties there and their surround system is amazing! They even have a stage where my daughter danced and sang her heart out at her 6th birthday party!Rock city will always be my go to!

The best ever. I can’t recommend them enough, their confections are superior to any in the area, great price & the customer service is unmatched. Usually my family & I make a day of it & visit D.P. Dough or Pies & Pints while we are close. They made my daughter’s 5th birthday cake & it’s been my favorite thus far. My favorites from them: fruit pizza, ANYTHING strawberry scooter crunch, gourmet dipped strawberries, strawberry pastry sticks.

Great spot , just came in for some pastries , Jacob was so helpful very kind and walked us through the amazing treats they have. Puff pastries , cheesecakes , cupcakes , and a really nice feel. Great for family experiences. I got a few items and I tried so far the apple puff pastries

They are THE BEST!!! I’ve tossed some crazy things for them to make for me over the years!! Most last minute 🤣🤣 AND THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND EVERYYYYYY SINGLEEEE TIMEEEE!!! Without fail! Unique bakery that has a large assortment of sweet goodies. We love many of their baked goods, especially the cake balls, and brownies. We’ve had everything from chocolate covered fruit to a custom Doctor Who blue velvet cake. Everything is usually fantastic. Highly recommend stopping in early if you’re in the downtown area. Morgan and her crew are highly involved in the community and provide wonderful service.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! And it's just 3 doors down so if I want a pastry with my morning coffee, I don't have far to go. And let me tell you about that old school strawberry pie. The first time I bought one it was warm, just out of the oven, and smelled heavenly! I could hardly contain myself from dropping my face into it and having my own personal pie eating contest. It was just as good as my eyes and nose told me it would be! Cupcakes, cakes, and cookies galore. You can't go wrong with your choses!

Whenever I go to read reviews of a business, I always go straight to the negative ones first to see the bad things that are being said. When I scanned through the negative reviews of Rock City I honestly couldn't relate to any of them. The service has always been top-notch with friendly employees who are polite and always eager to help and answer any questions. I have had a variety of items including brownies, cookies, cupcakes, long johns... and they have always been delicious and definitely don't taste store bought. As for the place itself, it is quirky and fun which adds to its charm. Since we no longer live in WV we don't get there very often, but whenever we are in town we always make a point to go there and always go with family members who still live there and no one has ever been disappointed.

Rock City Cake Company made our wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding in October. Our wedding cake was Wedding Cake flavor and we went with fall flavors for our mini cupcakes. We had Pumpkin Spice, Caramel Apple Crumble, and Butter Pecan cupcakes. They were absolutely delicious and looked beautiful. They delivered our cake and cupcakes to the venue and were not only on-time but were early. We left our cake topper, flowers, cake stand, and cupcake trays on the table and they took care of the rest. I ordered the T Swift (KC) burn away cake for the Superbowl. I placed an order online, which was super easy and convenient (I live 45mins away). I was running late to pick it up and I was worried I might have caught attitude (I'm sure they were tired and ready to go.) But, nope, I was greeted with friendly smiles and pointers on how to burn the cake. It was a great experience, from ordering online, to pickup, to burning the cake, to eating the delicious cake.
