I was really surprised not to see anyone when I went in and after trying to find what I needed I walked to the front and stood for awhile before a guy came out and asked if he could help. We found what we wanted came back up and again had to wait for the same guy to come out to check us out

Nice selection of pets and pet products and the staff is friendly and helpful our puppy was nervous going in but thanks to the staff she warmed up to being inside the store and even picked out her own toy

Went to check on a 20 gallon long aquarium and was greeted by a sales associate. Very polite and in discussion even said we good get the online price if we wished to purchase just tell the cashier. Cashier was super great also. Overall very friendly atmosphere and clean. Will be returning

Ok I’m gonna start with I walked in not looking for a fish, and seen a beautiful galaxy male betta red black and white. I’ve been looking for a betta like this for a while now, got it home and it passed three days after unfortunately. My family and I were upset and called the store, my girlfriend called the store to talk to someone, mine you being upset from the loss of our beautiful fish. I want to say a big thank you to Brianna, and awesome job at fixing a terrible thing. She replaced our betta and made our experience good enough to return, when otherwise we were not. This girl need a raise and needs to be commended for a job well done, petco you have an asset in that employee and her customer service ability’s. One more time THANK YOU BRIANNA for making my family and myself happy again....

Never had an experience this bad in my life. I finally got off work with just enough time to make it to buy my cat’s food. Store closes at 8 and I knew I would cut it close but I really only had to get one type of item and leave, 2 minute max. Made it to the door at 7:56 and it was locked. Two employees were at the front counter chatting, I tapped on the glass and showed my phone which showed the store should still be open, one of the employees looked at me and turned around completely ignoring me. What kind of a joke is this?Ruined my evening until I went to Petsmart up the road and found out they also carry Weruva cat food… for cheaper! Goodbye petco, never again. RESPECT THE POSTED HOURS. I guess if employees can shut the store early then why can’t I just decide the price should be cheaper? Well it is at petsmart south ridge 😘

Very disrespectful location. Employees lock door five minutes before closing. Roll eyes when you try to get their attention. Total disregard for the needs of pets. With dis-service like this, why waste my gas comings into the brick & mortar. Officially moving to chewy.

I love this place because I find good sales on high dollar cat food which I can't afford otherwise. The employees are very friendly but it is hard to get someone to assist you when you need them. Probably because they stay so busy. I gave them four stars because I feel they could be more helpful to customers in the store besides the customers at the fish tanks.

I have found that they are always very nice and helpful when you come in to even just browse the critter cages and pet the feathered or fur friends in stock. Not a huge place, but it has had some rare items or animals not found anywhere else!

Everyone is friendly and helpful store is nice and clean , they have a little of everything, but I think their prices are a little high for the same thing and brand you can get at Walmart cheaper, another thing is the cats they have to adopt ..I feel so sorry for them and it's hard to adopt them it's a process you can't just take them home from what I was told they just display them for another agency, regardless these poor fur baby's need adopted! Love my fur babies🐕🐶🐈🐦

Not exactly a solid 5 ⭐️, but more of a 4.5. I travel 45 minutes to the PetCo, which I don’t mind, but when my furbaby's fave treat is out of stock, it's a bit frustrating. But overall I almost always have a good experience with the South Charleston, WV store. The associate that helped me, voluntarily I might add, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely kind. I'll continue to shop at that location.

The groom that was working with my dog, was astute and professional. She quickly and intuitively built a rapport with my dog Max. Max is a senior citizen type of fella, he normally protest with extreme disdain. Within no time at all, not only was he not giving her any grief, but he was attentive and positively responding to her physical and extremely calming verbal cues. It was all over in a jiffy and he was wagging his tail. He will love coming here for whatever the need may be, toys, food and even grooming now. Thank you so very much El, max and I are forever indebted to you.

Pretty good selection and competitive pricing. However, the service was terrible. We were waited on by , Jennifer at register 1, transaction 4744, and she was rude, sarcastic, and acted like she was too busy to get a dozen crickets and check us out. She kept answering our basic questions with a tone implying we are stupid for asking. That's her job...?I'm just saying, when you guys are giving out raises or consideration for promotion, she shouldn't get one.She needs trained in customer service in a bad way! Respect for the people spending money at your place of employment goes a long way!

I love Petco. They have everything for my pets, reasonable prices and very helpful employees. Recently, after not finding anything I needed for my new kitten at another store, I went to Petco. A very helpful employee helped me pick out cat trees and toys and then took it all out to my car. I just used their on line ordering. They delivered my order within hours! I highly recommend Petco to all pet parents.
