You're standing in the self check-out line, ready to check-out with a small amount of items. Only 3 self checkouts are open, and they're all occupied by elderly customers with filled carts that take 20 minutes to check themselves out. There's 6 other working self checkouts that could be opened, but instead the employees manning the self checkouts would rather just stand around and give you dirty looks while you wait forever to buy the 5 items in your hand.The moral of this true story is that you're better off getting your groceries from any other store.

Not my normal Kroger but only needed a few things. Thought this would be a quick trip in and back out.. Wrong! The self check out line was extremely long, so we went to a lane where a cashier was just standing but no light on. We put our items on the conveyor and watched our items as they seemed to be beaten as she tried to scan them. Then my husband repeatly telling me to not touch the counter where the card machine was. Wasn't until I looked down and see 2 roaches crawling on the register stand. This is absolutely disgusting. I get it they are a store BUT you are supposed to be clean and rodent/bug free. Glad this is not my go to Kroger I for sure will not be back to that store! PS get some better employees, it's not nice to hear them air or gossip about other employees of the store.

I got there about 7:45 p.m. it wasn't very busy at all they had a good amount of lines open not too many and then not not enough pretty much easy to find everything I was looking for the only thing I will say is that a scanned my items in like I think it was line six or seven and you can only scan so many things before it starts telling you oh there's too many items on there please go bag them so I had to stop and go back my stuff 3 to 4 times before I could even finish ringing it all up so kind of took a little bit more time than I would have liked but then I get done scanning everything and go to pay and the pin pad wouldn't work the clerk acted like I didn't know how to swipe a card and so he proceeded them to scan my card for five more times before finally just taking it over to his register and reranging it up and the other problem is I need a cigarettes but it's almost impossible to get them in the evening time in there because there's nobody behind the customer service desk and then the clerk I've actually had them tell me that they're not allowed to get them after a certain time so then I leave and pay and I go out to the fuel center and of course there's no clerk in there a sign up saying we'll be back soon I understand they have to go to the restroom and everything but if I'm in the store and I'm shopping why can I not get them while I'm in there so instead it causes me to have to stop somewhere else when I just left a store that had them

I went to Kroger's deli on Thursday morning to purchase a meat tray. The frontline staff were very courteous, but one person I don't know if she was a manager or not was kind of rude. I understood they needed a 24 hour notice, due to being short staff, but when I tried to improvise other options she rudely cut me off and said they could not dp it, before I finished the question. She was not even willing to heat up food that was already made, so I went to Piggly Wiggley and they also told me 24 hours, but did not hesitate to help me come up with another solution. Kroger has always been my choice for shopping groceries, but I will never go that Deli again!!

The elderly man in self checkout is the rudest. A young female went out of her way to help me out today....that's a first at this store. Usually they ignore you.

The store has really upgraded from the previous time I had shopped there. It’s nice, clean & helpful staff. The 3 rating is only contingent upon their inability to answer the phone. Today I’ve tried and every time it will ring as long as you let it! I would just say keep someone at the phone bc that’s your customer base calling.

Just realized that i drink the coconut water that been expired for 4 months. I bought this 1 week ago, and sadly i drink it all. From now on, i need to check everything before buy some stuff from kroger..

the store was well stocked had very good sales (must have kroger card) I found everything was stocked and some items I didn't expect to see. the employees I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. the store was very clean and had plenty of room to move around in. prices were reasonable & some were just high. over all i had a very good experience and will shop this store in the future.

Kroger pharmacy is full of caring and compassionate people. They are so quick when you come in sick from an ER or medexpress and it's makes things so much simpler. They always abide by HIPPA laws, unlike other pharmacies. They are also quick to answer any questions you have. I have other opinions on their grocery store and refuse to buy anything from there even if going elsewhere cost more.

Kroger's stores deserves a 0 star.why this is because they only have 1 person working in check out. As for the office it's impossible to get any service while phones ringing non-stop... As for the buggies bring ur own from outside as the lot person is either inside talking or not at work.. these stores used to be the best as they are now the worst place in America..

1 star, only for location convenience! i tried to take some detergent back to exchange for the softener, i accidentally grabbed 2 detergents! access denied!!! because it didn’t have a “kroger sticker” on it! i then went to grab the softener to buy, look up and the security officer, lady was eye "banging" me!!! to beat it all, the softner i bought, doesnt have no “sticker” on it either!! SHAME ON YOU KROGERS…..DO BETTER

I go to this Kroger solely because of an employee named David and his amazing customer service and kindness!! David should be rewarded for his hard work and dedication. I was in self check out and came up short on my money for groceries. David paid the $17.00 I was over instead of letting me take items off (he did it without even telling me). I went back the next day and paid him back when I got paid. David was so kind. Please reward him. Give him the recognition he deserves. Outstanding individual. I will never go to another Kroger again thanks to David.

My husband arrived 8 minutes before closing time to pick up paper towels (ONE item) and was told by some gray-haired lady that he couldn't come in because they were closing the doors. That is ridiculous. If your website says that the store closes at 11 PM, then why are they refusing customers at 10:52 PM? When I worked at Kroger, we worked until the very last minute - not 10 minutes prior to closing time.

This was not a shopping trip for myself. This was a shopping trip for curbside pickup for my former friend. I'm not sure if it was the fault of her or the associate, but they took a long time conversing outside of the car. They left my car's back hatch up, with some water she purchased. He (associate) ended up walking back into the building two times, then my former friend asked me for 5 dollars, and walked in with him. I found this odd considering it was curbside pickup. I then shut my hatch and waited on her approx 5 minutes, and we left with her infant for her home.

As someone who is handicapped, the past 4 times I’ve been to this location, they haven’t had any riding carts available to use. Not ONE. They’ve got about 10 out in their employee break area, but they’re all broken and/or not charged. No one else in the store was using one, there weren’t any by the main entrance (on either side), and there weren’t even any outside in the parking lot. So where are they??? Their disregard for people with disabilities is totally unacceptable. I’ll take my $400-$500 a month to Ashton Place or the South Charleston locations from now on. Such a shame, because I’ve been going to the KC Kroger almost my whole life. Goodbye, old friend.

The pharmacy is ran like trash. The information that is given to the patients. Is something different each trip depending on who is working and running it that day. Poor customer service and knowledge of how the pharmacy is ran. They also do not respect hipa law. Please go somewhere else it might save your life.

The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star rating is that they are bad about not updating their store hours on their phone recording, which caused me to waste a trip once or twice. Other than that, the store is pretty good. Its much more convenient than Walmart AND more pleasant to shop in, and its selection is an order of magnitude better than Piggly Wiggly. If you use the Kroger card, the prices are decent as well.

Krogers Kanawha City was supposed to be open until 6:00pm. I was at the door at 5:45pm. A guard told me he was given orders to stop all entrries at 5:40pm.It was Xmas eve.I will do my best to never brother the employees,at Krogers with my needs again.

When my husband and I waited in line to be checked out, we both noticed that the cashier wasn't happy, she first stated not to put items close to side because it would push them off, she wore a name tag of a male employee that I know, and when I ask her her name she gave me 2 initial. We shop there 3 to 4 times a week.

I've been shopping with Kroger curbside for the past year. I really appreciate all that the store staff do. Thanks!The service charge for curbside is currently waived. Putting together a shopping list is easy through website or app. I can schedule as far as a week in advance and make changes until midnight before my scheduled pickup. Kroger associates handling curbside are awesome.I do try to glance at produce as I am picking up, to catch any problem before I leave.

I am not an employee of Kroger’s and do not get a discount for using self-checkout and it’s a waste of time speaking to the manager because the excuses freely flow out of their mouths. I will not beg any person or business to take my money and when I get to checkout and see that I’m fourth or fifth in line I just leave my cart that is full if frozen products/meat sitting in an isle and walk out the door.and will continue doing so until customer service wakes up.

Some of the Kroger staff working in the self checkout area are extremely rude but most are helpful. It's a good grocery store, usually well stocked but they will sometimes stop carrying popular products without adequate explanations and they will no longer allow you to use your debit card as credit. I am cutting them down from five stars to two due to their rude employees.

Great store, great staff. Be warned: it's among the busiest grocery stores in the Kanawha Valley. It's easier to shop at this store either very early or very late. Would be nice if store and CLICK LIST hours were extended to foster time efficiency, improving customer satisfaction.

I got there after 10pm and no registers were open except self checkout, which is confusing enough when you only have a few items but I had a shopping cart full of groceries. Then once I paid I got a coupon from the machine but no receipt, so I have no idea what I was charged for each item. Should have at least one register open.
