Great yarn shop with beautiful local yarns. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. Also, this shop offers soaps, art, and beeswax candles from a variety of local artists. We will definitely stop by next time we're in town!

Kanawha City Yarn Company is such a beautiful and inspiring space. There are so many gorgeous colors and types of yarns in the shop. Not to mention all of the beautiful displays.Sarah, the owner, takes such pride in her work and shop. She is polite, sweet, and always willing to help if you get stuck on any of your projects.This shop also does evening classes of knitting and crocheting; along with weaving and "make in takes" that require no previous experience necessary. I cannot say enough about this local favorite of mine... It's truly a must see and experience!

I was happy to visit this gem in Kanawha City! Many offerings of good quality yard, plus knitting and crocheting supplies and patterns. Their samples of hats, scarves and gloves were all so lovely, well-crafted. If I could, I would buy one of everything.

The shop is very nice and the owner was there. I have not worked with yarn in almost 15 years, and she showed me how to cast on the knitting needles then shared with me all of the upcoming classes.

A friend and I took the beginner fingerless glove class for our first try at knitting. I highly recommend giving it a try. Our instructor was so kind, very informative and encouraging through the process. I definitely haven't mastered the art of knitting yet, but feel I received valuable instruction to start my knitting journey. Looking forward to starting some other projects with KCYC in the near future and developing a love for knitting.
