The service at Piggly Wiggly was great. They could not do what I needed them to do, but they gave me the time to improvise unlike Krogers!!!!! They could not make me a meat tray, but I put together my own meat tray and it was hit!!! Piggly Wiggly will be my go to in Charleston, WV, and you all may want to make the meat tray below. It cost around 40 dollars to out together, but it worked out great!

Midsize grocery store. Larger availability of fresh fruit and vegetables than the other large grocery store nearby.The building seems to need updating and cleaning. Tap to pay doesn’t work.

I ran down to get lunch cause i work a few blocks up and the guy in the deli made me the two best hotdogs I have had in a while. Piggly Wiggly has a great lunch menu. And they are quick

Store is so cold inside I could not stay to shop. Cashiers dress in layers and go to the office to get warm. It's sad utilities cost so much stores just about shut then off. So if you shop here, wear lots of clothes or you'll freeze to death. Stay out of refrigerated food aisle. And why are prices so high?

Went there for lunch and groceries. Add chicken livers with two sides chicken livers a little overcooked. Store really needs a good cleaning. Other than that all things were good.

Prices are extremely high, even with the inflation going on. Like literally things you buy from the Dollar Tree (same exact food products) that cost 1.25$ they will charge 1.65$. that's the lowest prices that I've seen them over charge on. Most others are about a dollar+ more than Kroger or Aldi. They wanted 7$ for an ear a cauliflower at one point and things like that!I could understand if the quality of the food was higher end quality for them to overprice like they do. But it isn't. The quality is sometimes really awful.Their meat department is really awful too. The only chicken they have has carcinogenic fillers, like carrageenan. That stuff is being studied as toxic and causing cancer, even though it's supposed to be natural. They have nothing that's hormone and antibiotic free, which I need. But I'm sure if they did have it they'd charge double the price of getting it at Kroger that's only a mile away.Edited: I think I've shopped here for the last time. Along with all the other bad quality issues I just bought two containers of chicken liver that both smell so bad when cooked that I refuse to give them to my cats. I personally love chicken liver and the smell, but these were disgusting. I also bought some clearance mini naans and it had green and yellow mold on it. I ate two pieces before realizing the mold was there. I hope I don't get sick! Look over clearance stuff very carefully.

The meat department here sucks. The pork sausage they sell here has made me sick on more than one occasion. The meat department manager at this location also has a very bad attitude and is very smart alecky. I was nothing but nice and polite to that guy the whole time even after his rudeness. If I could give 0 stars I would. The meat here also seems to not be fresh most the time like it’s maybe sit a day or 2. Gross place.

I am always able to find things here that other stores don’t have and it’s always super clean. Prices aren’t always the best but it’s well worth it to not deal with krogers.

Although some of the brand selections are a little limited at times, Piggy's is a great store for just about anything you need. Piggy's meat & produce selections are very fresh & good, and the prices are *much* more reasonable than the big "K" box stores here in town. The Piggy's store is very well lit, has nice wide aisles without alot of cardboard displays in the way, and the store inside AND *outside* is much cleaner than the big "K" store Westside location... I've never felt unsafe or harassed in Piggy's parking lot as I have elsewhere! Lastly, the personnel at Piggy's are friendlier, more polite & more willing to be helpful... they don't act like I'm a bother or nuisance interrupting their day.Hubs & I have been shopping at both the Kanawha City & the Bigley (Ave.) Piggly Wiggly (try saying that 3 times fast!!) stores for 10+ years with very little complaint. We highly recommend either location.

There is a rude lady at the counter that multiple times refused to cash my paychecks. And everytime I have called I got hung up on. I never felt welcome walking into the store.

The selection is poor compared to Kroger. I only come here when Kroger is out of something I need. I also expected the prices to be better than they are. There's never more than one lane open for check out so unless you want to wait in a line a while, its self check-out. There's ZERO reason to shop here unless your main store is out of something important.

unfortunately I had to stop into the rest room at this piggly wiggly. I usually only come here if they have a sale on chuck steak. Well I was awkwardly witnessing someone in the stall next to the urinal. Guys you know what I'm talking about, grunting, some splashes. The whole yards. To my suprise a huge white guy in a white coat comes out as I'm washing my hands and walks out the door behind me! Dude didn't wash his hands and he works there. By the sounds of it he should have. Kind of resembled hank hill.

Best meats in town. Forget Kroger or Walmart who's meat is brown underneath the red ones. I just wish they had friendlier cashiers. They only have one guy. Then self check out.

I love this place and I know a lot doesn't but I've been going there for decades at Myrtle Beach and had a lot of fun times there believe it or not and they were always friendly as could be with us even though we were a little "toasty" lol

Seeing their Marquee as I made my way South through town I instantly thought deli !! Walking in I'm greeted with 3 hello's from their employees staff as they were checking thru their Lanes.Nearing the end of the traditional lunch hours I had some negative thoughts of their hot bar foods would be slim and or ready for disposal. That was far from the reality.. An attentive associate had a friendly aura and asked in a polite and professional tone " what can I get you?". I will Be back !

The picture is showing the Piggly Wiggly in Kanawha City this one I give five stars for people are excellent it might be a little bit smaller but it's got everything that you need or that you want they're right on top situation people are very polite nice to you try to help you out whatever you need even the office people are very nice and polite if they don't know something they'll tell you that's something you don't see no more
