The store itself appears to be okay. The staff was courteous and professional. However, outside the store seems to be the local "handout" spot. I say that because everytime I come to this store, there are numerous people standing in front of the store. Some of those people appear shady. Also, just recently , there was a shooting that occurred just across the street. Sometimes I think I'm back in the city (New York City) where I'm originally from. Overall, I like the variety that this store offers. Because of this community being food deficient, a lot of people depend on these smaller stores for their groceries. This causes the inventory to often be low. Since I live in this community and even though I have the means to shop elsewhere, I try to support small business as much as I can.

Employees were friendly and helpful, but I didn't like the way the store was setup. It was hard to find what I needed and there were several things that were put next to stuff that didn't make sense. The store could be setup better; however, it was a clean store and wasn't messy.

I love this place but the aisles are always blocked with merch that the employees are slowly putting away from their truck. Hard to see all of selection, kind of hard to get around inside, even.

Always has the little things I need to grab fast! And way more than I expect every time! Never thought I would need to use the expanded grocery area added for neighborhoods that had lost grocery stores-but in a hurry I sure have been thankful 🙏.

This particular store is AWESOME and I've really loved shopping here! Then they were closed for several months in need of some remodeling thanks to someone doing some property damage so horrible and disappointing bc it's daily shoppers depended tremendously on it's convenient location for shopping here for MANY YEARS! SO THRILLED IT'S BACK IN BUSINESS FOR THE UPCOMING HOLIDAYS!! TY Family Dollar for being my #1 Favorite place to shop for just about everything!! Great store, but the isles are always blocked and a person that uses a scooter chair have difficulty of getting down the isles

I understand they have been having issues with theft in this area however when you leave from behind the register to chase a paying customer down that literally just walked in the store and told me that I was not allowed to have my bag(purse)in the store. It is not okay. It is not okay to publicly humiliate me in front of all the customers that were up front waiting to pay and make me feel liks some kind of criminal because I walked in with my purse. I went home in tears because of how I was talked to .

Not a whole lot to choose from. Every time I shop there it seems like almost every aisle has at least one full buggy of merchandise that needs to be restocked. Better management definitely needed.

I want to let you know that while I was in the store one of their regulars was shoplifting. Brandy very calmly and quietly walked to the man and got merchandise back. This store is getting better and better. Good job staff

Helpful staff. Only wish the outside of store stayed cleaner. Often see trash laying around in parking lot and near door. Staff are nice and attentive to customers needs.

This store was okay when it first opened, now it's a mess, employee are rude.uboats are never put up stock is not up to par.The parking lot has people,hanging out.dont feel safe...sad as I was happy .that it opened ,now o go to the dollar store on bigley av wichh is out of the way.Managment needs to fix this..Other people are going to other Dollar stores..

You can get what you need but the store is very cluttered and messy. The employees are very nice. The neighborhood is less than ideal. Almost always some shady looking people in the parking lot.

Not impressed with the selection of items or the way the store looks. It definitely looks like a slum store and with Save A Lot closing across the street, it has become the closest major store for many of us on the West Side.
