Electric sanctuary tattoo provided a clean, calming, and sterile environment for my ear piercing! They had a variety of earrings to choose from and the artist, Jennifer, took the time to explain everything to me. She also told me she wanted to see if my ears were open (from a previous ear piercing) instead of charging me the $50 dollars to re-pierce it if it wasn’t needed! She did just a great job—she made the whole experience less stressful! I highly recommend this place for their artist’s skills, the cleanliness, and experience!Service: Ear piercing

Didn't get anything done myself but brought my girlfriend here for piercings.The lady was very knowledgeable and extremely clean with the procedure. Fair priced too for dual nose studs plus jewelry came to $110. She said the experience was top notch and wouldn't go elsewhere for anything piercing related.

I can't say enough positive things about this place. The modern tattoo parlor, the cleanest shop I've ever been in. The artists are fantastic, my experience with Hans was exceptional. They were able to express a natural sense of artistry and a deftness with the needle. I'm very impressed with the ownership and the shop should be awarded for the general Above & Beyond nature of the experience. Best in Charleston hands down. Give them all your money.

I’ve been going to Electric Sanctuary Tattoo since August 2021 and have had a phenomenal experience. My tattooer has been Hans and they are excellent in what they do. I came in wanting a sleeve which involved a coverup and they took my arm and turned it into an amazing piece. You can’t even tell it was a cover up. We have had 4 sessions so far and each session has been way above standard or what I even expected. They are very communicated in what they plan to do and accomplish. Hans is by far the best tattooer I have ever been to, to be able to free hand floral just from thought is shocking to me. That takes so much talent and skill. I’m in love with my sleeve and can not wait to finish it and start on a new project! Pricing, scheduling, cleanliness and environment of the shop is great. 10/10 recommend Electric Sanctuary for your tattoo or piercing experience. You will not be disappointed.

Amber and Jen are amazing piercers. Went to Amber to have a botched septum piercing fixed (she wasn't the one who botched it) and went back to have a nostril re-pierced. Jen was part of the consultation and while there I realized that she was the one who pierced my daughter several years ago. This is more a review of Black Eagle since I haven't been to the shop but most of my interaction has been with Hans and Max. Hans is amazing. All the work she's done for me is great. Max is a great guy who's fun to talk to and gave me one of my first tattoos and it's still bright orange. I'll definitely be booking a tattoo here soon. Max does seem like he charges more than some of the others there.

Kevin has done 4 tattoos for me. One was a cover up and he did a phenomenal job. You can't tell what was there before. He was super professional, as my first idea just didn't look right on that part of my body. So he asked me questions and helped me come up with something totally better than my original idea. I need to get in and see him asap. I love everything he does. He is so worth the wait. He is an amazing artist.Edit: went in today 1.4.21 and Amber did 2 piercings for me. She was great. Explained everything and was super sweet. I love this shop! It is the best in Charleston. Thank you again!!

Jen was absolutely amazing. And one of the sweetest people I’ve ever encountered! Went to have 2 dermals removed that had been placed 2 years ago, the process was super easy and painless. And there will be little to no scarring 😊 and they are the only piercers I’ve found that will actually remove them in the Charleston area.

Very unprofessional. Tattoo receptionist was rude. The tattoo artist mocked the tattoo idea. When trying to figure out the exact tattoo design, was not open and communicative. He had an attitude about making adjustments to the design. Ended up leaving and went somewhere else. Hands down worse shop I’ve stepped foot into. Granted, the tattoo artist may do great work, i don’t know. Couldn’t get past the unprofessionalism of the shop to find out.

They are all very friendly and funny while being full of talent. The prices are never expensive and the quality is always extraordinary. I've had 2 tattoos done by Hans. They worked with me and gave me exactly what I wanted and at the time I didn't even know what that was. I wouldn't reccomend anywhere but here. Max has been doing my tattoos for over 10 years now. Even while living in Richmond VA, a city absolutely riddled with tattoo parlors, I make the trip to Charleston to let him work his craft. Max did a really amazing job on my tattoo! I get compliments about it all of the time! Was looking for a new place and I'll totally be back! Love the vibe of the place and who doesn't like listening to the Greatful Dead? He totally listened to what I wanted and fixed it right up and even fixed a small detail that I noticed before we started, no arguing what so ever. Someone drew this special for me, and he didn't take anything away from it! He did it exactly how the paper showed! What a stellar place! Will be back for sure, babes.
