Only retail pharmacy in town that massive numbers of employers require you to switch to to get your meds, then first month of the year is closed weekends and multiple random days through the week. How about pay your pharmacists more and you’ll get some that want to work there.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding a recent experience at the CVS located on Oakwood Rd., Charleston, WV.Despite having scheduled a vaccine appointment in advance and arriving 15 minutes early, I was curtly informed by the pharmacist that they couldn't accommodate me due to alleged operational constraints. It's imperative to note that, from a customer's perspective, there seemed to be no visible shortage of staff, with six employees behind the counter and only five customers waiting.Such a refusal, especially for a pre-scheduled vaccine, raises serious questions about the pharmacy's dedication to public health and community service.The pharmacist, identifiable by her blonde hair, glasses, and a heavier build, exhibited behavior that was not in line with what one would expect from a professional in her position. The manner in which she addressed the issue was abrupt and lacked the basic tenets of courteous customer service.From what I've observed and read in multiple reviews about this location, it's evident that the community has similar grievances. The frequency with which customers feel slighted, especially on matters as crucial as vaccinations, paints a worrying picture about the standards upheld at this particular branch.This situation not only tarnishes the reputation of the branch but also reflects negatively on CVS as a brand. I urge CVS management to review and rectify such practices to ensure that all customers, regardless of the service they seek, are met with the professionalism and care they deserve.Given the gravity of this issue, I am inclined to escalate this matter further. The standards exhibited at this community pharmacy are, to put it mildly, below par and demand immediate attention.
