I had read about the famous "yellow slaw" some years back, and finally got to try it today. I had two hot dogs with the yellow slaw and spicy chili. The fries were big enough to split comfortably, and we did. The chili is top five for me, and that yellow slaw is surprisingly sweet. It tastes like sweet hot mustard and complements the rest of the hot dog very well.This place is takeout only, because the business is in a little trailer. There are picnic tables next to the parking where you can eat on a nice day. They also do a summer vacation the week of July 4, so I'm glad we got here right before we closed. They also DO accept credit cards, which I was shocked about. All in all definitely worth the short trip off I-77.

Best hotdogs our family of 4 have ever tasted! We lucked upon Chum's midway through a 12hr car trip...and although we had been discussing flying (instead of driving) in the future, after tasting Chum's hotdogs, we decided we will always drive. Very friendly, the slaw is INCREDIBLE, the fries HOT are perfect, and the corn fritters are dangerously delicious!

Maybe it's where it's winter/cold season, but Chums ain't like it used to be.I did get the deep fried peanut butter and jelly thing, it would've been great had it not had all the powdered sugar in the bag.This was my boyfriend's first time eating here & he got the hot dogs with yellow slaw, (nothing to rave about) they were soggy, too.

Great little local roadside stand not far off 77. I see a few comments complaining about the prices being high, but we fed the family of four for under $30. I can’t do that at most fast food places. If you’re traveling through and like to patronize small, local businesses, you could do far worse. As a bonus, the local police stopped to make sure we weren’t broken down (parked a block down with our camper) and thanked us for patronizing their loc businesses when we told him we were just stopping for lunch.

Very nice ppl. Hot dogs are fantastic! I love that yellow slaw. I’ve never experienced that before. Gave 4 stars bc our FF were not cooked all the way and they were a bit pricey, otherwise wouldn’t have even mentioned it

We didn't know what to think when we pulled in. I didn't even know what yellow slaw was. But the Chum's hot dog with spicy chili, yellow slaw, and onions was amazing. The chili and sweet mustard based slaw almost made the steamed bun and hot dog irrelevant. The corn fritters were fantastic and the deep fried PB & J was the perfect desert. If I'm ever back in the area I will stop by again.

Today was my 1st time and the only thing I regret is only getting 2. I usually just like white slaw and even though you offer it I got the yellow and OMG it was good. I got 1 regular chili and 1 with the spicy. Should of ate the spicy one 1st. It was indeed spicy but delicious. If I could change one thing it would be that you're open Saturday's so I could bring my family but hey, their loss. You guys awesome and they were hands down the best hotdogs I've had in a very long time. Can't wait until next time!

I'm not sure what their hours of operation are. They're usually closed when I pass by. I stop every time I see them open, though. If you like yellow coleslaw on your dogs, this is the place. I've never found any even close to as good. Now they have spicy chilli. I had it for the first time today and it's very good. Just the right amount of heat.

Stopped by here last week on the way to virginia just by chance. Super friendly people. We just got some plain dogs and a few other things. But they actually threw in a Yellow Slaw hotdog on the house since I mentioned I had never tried it before as we are from Louisville. All of it was extremely good and really cheap. Definitely a decent quick stop for food.Also, their fried pickles were easy 10/10. Wish they had a homemade ranch, but pickles by themselves were great.

Best hot dog I've had in this area. They have yellow slaw I assume mustard based. My wife loved it I had the white slaw was very good. The first bite took me back to childhood sitting in 64 Plymouth furry at Wiggens in Huntington WV . great onion rings . The service and serve time is great. Woukd not change a thing.

Oh my gosh what a hidden gem this place is! If you are in the area I HIGHLY recommend you stop here grab ya a hotdog everything with yellow slaw you won't regret it. They also have fried pickles, onion rings, cheese sticks, bbq, cheese fries / chili cheese fries, and more. Anytime we are close we stop here an fill up.

Emplyees are awesome. They accommodate special request if possible. Chili cheese fries could be a meal alone, they are great! I love the corn fritters. All food is very reasonably priced. Another great thing is this small establishment does several fund raisers to help families and the town out. It's great!

Noticed Chum's briefly when driving by last week. The lunch crowd caught my attention. So me and my grandpaw went back. OMG, these hot dogs are amazing!! This was my 1st time eating yellow slaw and it is awesome! If you are craving a good hot dog this is the place to go. They also had a nice assortment for your non-hot dog eaters (if there is such a thing)! Can't wait to go back!!

They are out of this world. Their BBQ's are unlike any other . On top of that there hotdogs are amazing and for their hot bologna Mmmmm all I can say. If you find yourself near Charleston I would take that 10 extra minutes to hit Marmet for an extraordinary adventure.

Offers great tasting hot dogs, not just your typical bun with a warmed weenie variety!Add to that these 2 words: 'Yellow Slaw'!Any local knows how rare it truly is to master that​ perfected faintly sweet-yet tangy mustard undertone on this hot dog topping!Here is advice, best to go here on warmer, or at least a dry day since it only offers a walk-up order and pick up window. There is not much overhead covering over the order area and it takes a few minutes to fix an order with their per customer preparation, so one may decide to sit in the vehicle-much like the vintage curbside service stations that were once so popular. You may choose to sit and relax at one of the picnic tables as an alternative, and enjoy the view of the quaint town of Marmet, WV.

If WV hot dogs (chili, slaw, onions) are on your list of occasional fare to enjoy then Chum's is worth a look. One of the hooks for Chum's is yellow slaw. I must say the dogs are very tasty. The servers are friendly and happy to serve you. It is cash only (or it was the last time I was there), so I had to find an ATM and come back. It was worth it.

Yum!. Great little hot dog stand. They only have picnic tables outside, so if you want to eat there, you can only do it on warm days. Food is great and cooked to order.
