Our baby girl had her first strawberry ice cream cone here! She loved it & we loved ours too. I got the latte flavor and salty caramel. It was so flavorful and creamy. I also tried the Latte as well, so good! Our boys got birthday cake (the blue one) they didn’t leave anything behind. Owner was super friendly and very helpful. We really loved this old house and the character it has, you even have a place to sit outside. You won’t be disappointed, lots of flavors to choose from, coffee and nice place to hang out.

From the first step in the door, I knew I was going to have a special experience. The service was friendly, informative and gracious. I love, owner, Mario’s style of espresso and the gelato is out of this world. I have tried and loved many of their flavors, but recently discovered Cafe Romeo’s toasted marshmallow. It tastes exactly like what the name suggests. What a treat. I have been and always will be a big fan of this place!

SO GOOD. Cute little shop. I got a mix of blood orange and limoncello sorbet - it was refreshing and not too sweet! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back when I am in the area.And all sorbet options are dairy free, so they are vegan friendly!

We adored this little shop.We didn't know if we really wanted to go originally - it was late and we had already tried to go to a different ice cream shop only to find it closed. 😢But, we are so glad the other shop was closed so we discovered Caffe Romeo instead. The gelato was delicious! It was adorable and well presented. Also parking was easy and free unlike anywhere else we had been that day.It made our night.

Mario is so very talented & friendly..my husband & I feel blessed to find a place like this,we were warmly welcomed & got to enjoy the most amazing coffee & Gelato EVER!..We will come back every time we travel to Charleston..the chestnut & cinnamon gelato are definitely favorites ❤

Don't walk, RUN, to Caffe Romeo for the pumpkin gelato!!! On top of being 1000% delicious, it's vegan! So my dairy-free daughter and myself could actually enjoy it! (They also have an amazing vegan dark chocolate gelato right now too!) Everyone I've ever encountered working here has been so wonderfully kind. And their treats are absolutely the best. Seriously. Don't miss out on this autumnal goodness. Vegetarian options: PHENOMENAL vegan gelatos!!

Went there for the gelato. Homemade flavors. What's there is fresh, because the flavors rotate. Wasn't happy that the server cross-contaminated the flavors (did not rinse the dipper before putting it in the next flavor), but once I got the orange off my chocolate, the flavor was great. Quaint house setting with a patio in the front, a sunroom and outside deck in a beautiful tree-lined setting. Will definitely go back when I visit again, I'll just ask for the dipper to be rinsed in between servings.

A charming spot, the owner was welcoming and friendly. The gelato is delicious and there's a lot of classic and unique flavors. They also serve coffee and have areas to sit outside and inside. Definitely coming back!

Amazing creamy gelato! The flavors are well balanced not too sweet but you still capture the flavor. Natural ingredients too! We have a corn syrup allergy making desserts out hard, but not here! We could have almost every flavor. The porch outside is nice for relaxing and eating your gelato. They have plants blocking to road which is nice.

I've eaten gelato all over this country and this is the BEST gelato spot I've EVER been to. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I luckily ended up meeting the owner and he is just as awesome as the gelato. He uses all REAL ingredients and you can tell. Mario cares so much about the minor details in everything. I love this place so much and I feel grateful to have experienced this in my life.

Very nice place. The gelato was great. My kidds loved their sugar cones. I had a gelato sandwich, it was different, it was great, and my boyfriend had a waffle cone ,he loved it. We spent our time on the deck we loved this place.

We almost stayed in after a long day at the state science fair, but my son wanted "ice cream" to celebrate his achievement so we went back out. Best decision ever. Everything was terrific. Mario, the owner, was wonderful. We talked and tasted several flavors of his amazing gelato before selecting our favorites. We're all extremely sad to be back to almost 5 hours away. If we find ourselves back in Charleston, we'll be back to Cafe Romeo as often as possible. Even if you don't know you need Cafe Romeo, trust me, you do. Just go.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful, the gelato is always amazing (some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had) and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is you never know what flavors they will have on a particular day but I’ve never had a bad one and variety is the spice of life so it’s not that big of a deal.

If you are looking for great gelato, this is the place! If you are looking for good (or even mediocre) customer service, look elsewhere! We were clearly an inconvenience to the girl that was working here. I was very disappointed especially given all the rave reviews about the customer service, even my kids commented about how incredibly rude she was.
