Cashier lady with poorly put on false lashes and daggers for fingernails was rude. I was waiting in line and bent down to look at something when she walked up to her register then had the nerve to say "you just hanging out there or you checking out". She had been there only 5 seconds and was being rude af.

Very well organized and always have a clean set up. Lots of seasonal items and furniture. Home decor-cleaning products and foodie stuff. Close to the interstate and eateries.

A lot of variety, but the prices aren't as good as I thought they would be. There were a few really good deals, but for the most part, it's comparable to a dollar store or something similar to that. Employees were nice, and the store was clean. Plenty of parking, but it does sit towards the back of the parking lot, behind some other businesses

Little upset get there to pick up my order, for cashier to tell me the 9 piece bedding set I ordered wasn't available in the store after it telling me online I could pick up at store. It was showing 3 available.

I know inflation is a problem for all stores, but it doesn't make sense that Big Lots prices are higher than grocery store prices for the same exact items. And, once again, we were overcharged for an item, but at least it was only ONE item this time, and only by 10¢.

I went in for a specific item because I REALLY didn't want to go up to a huge store, my mistake. The shelves were mostly empty unless you want Christmas stuff or candy, neither of which was the screwdriver I needed. I bought a candy bar that unfortunately I couldn't eat because one end was actually opened. So the experience was overall a waste of my time.

I don’t go to big lots as often anymore but was looking around for some things and prices.. Did not find anything here at this Big Lots… so basically looked around and when I went to leave and put my empty shopping cart back it locked up as I was exiting.. The lady said it does that cause I didn’t purchase anything.. theft protection basically…. I mean that is great and all that you have that feature but that was offensive! So someone can’t come in and look around without being stopped on the way out because they didn’t purchase anything… OMG god forbid someone just look around DOES NOT MEAN THEY SHOPLIFTED!! Rude!!

I locked my keys in the trunk and the lever to pop it open inside my car was locked. The manager went and found me a screwdriver and let me borrow it (I Youtubed how to bypass the lock) I appreciated that I didnt have to buy one. Thank you Big Lots!

So i purchased a bin for dog toys. On their site, it is $2.50, but they charged me 9.99 so i came back to get the difference refunded. The manager couldnt get it to come up on their site, but i could and he said the SKUs dont match even though i was in there last week and bought the exact one for 2.50 which is what prompted me to ask if I could bring the other one in to get the same price. I was told yes, just bring in the receipt....it was a different manager last week but still. False advertising definitely isnt ok! The manager tonight needs to work on his customer service skills. His condescending tone disgusted me & the lady behind me.

Good deals sometimes, convenient location, they do have different things that some stores don't have. They have furniture you can pay on a lease. Always friendly and helpful! Stores always clean when I have been there. The one only problem I have is there's always just one cashier and a long line even though there's like 5 check outs ... the day after Black Friday when they're still having a sale, line was crazy finally they opened another checkout line!

The employees are friendly & courteous for the most part. It is hit or miss when you go in here looking for something in particular though! The thing that I was trying to buy(a cushion for an outside love seat)& get was not in stock & they did not have any more so they missed a sell & once again I came out empty handed! This has happened to me several times with different things that I was looking for! They do have low & average prices though!

Once Big lots removed the stationary Isla ,I pretty much lost interest. This visit being the exception because the High Velocity 18 in fan was in stock and its the best fan Ive found in years. The price tag is a little high but worth it In my opinion. 40$ plus tax.

Went to purchase an item from the ad in furniture department. Was there more than 20 minutes and couldn't find a salesman's anywhere! Store has to much product up and down middle of floor where you walk . Was convenient parking, clean enough.

They were so helpful and exceeded any notion of what a team of great workers doing the right stuff can be! More than hardworking with the large online order of ALL furniture- they were spot on and made my long and stressed decision making beforehand feel so useful and proactive -for once-on a personal note! They had nearly everything ready to go, as best as anyone could have and they truly went above and beyond with a courteous and kind attitude from every person that were working that evening. They also were patient and understanding with our extra time and issues that we did finally resolve- thanks to their non pressured and comforting demeanor when I was on the verge of panic and meltdown! Thanks for making our house feel more like a home with the various items that made our family time and "stuck at home" together time feel much more like a functional and fun place to be a part of!

Over all good experience. My only complaint is that my fiance lost his cell phone in the store right before closing time. I was a little displeased at the way we were rushed out of the store without even 5 minutes to retrack his steps through the store before being told we had to exit the store. They said they would be in contact tomorrow if it was found. When I worked in retail no matter closing time you locked the doors but the customers were not to be told to hurry or made to feel they had to leave at that moment.

After running all over town looking for an affordable tablecloth, I went into Big Lots. I admit I stopped as a last resort. Surprise! They had a wonderful selection of holiday and everyday tablecloths at a great price (at least 20/25% less than other places). The selections were stylish and there was a good variety of sizes.While at Big Lots, I found three or four other things I had been looking for all weekend. Plus, the place was clean and neat and the service was friendly. I even recieved a handy-dandy rewards card and a five dollar coupon in my email. I think I might stop at Big Lots first next time.

Good stuff but out of a lot and disorganized and Hardly Anything was priced! Basically the only prices you coukd find were on a few of the tags from the manufacturer except the beds and furniture those were the only things priced but unfortunately they were filthy you could see the dry skin from people laying on them it was disgusting! And like everyone else they have a rewards card that the cashier they tracked down to ring me up because she was Very high on speed and zig xagging around she gave me a rewards card that said wjen I signed up I'd get $5 off my next purchase but instead I got 15% off my next purchase of $15 or more and emailed asking them about it they said oops they fixed it in another enail to me but it was the same 15% offer. I used to love the big lots in Boone County before it closed and this one Could be loveable to if it had anyone working there that cared about anything besides being high then maybe instead of running ariund scrubbing shelves that are already clean they could wait on customers better and clean stuff needing cleaned like beds and avtually price stuff! And maybe fix the womens bathroom stall doors? One has no lock or anything so it wont stay shut and the other they changed lock types and to cover the big round hole left when they removed the previous lock they just slapped a big lots sticker on it, or a customer wanting privacy did most likely! Lol! It has good stuff tho but couldnt tell you how prices are since nothing is priced!

The new arrangement of the store's sections makes alot more sense with many of the more popular items like yard & garden to the front. The new traffic pattern for the checkout area is an improvement as well. There's alot more open space left near the checkout instead of trying to cram more small display stands in & having no place for shoppers to line up for the registers.

It has so many good things to offer. Most of the prices are fairly reasonable. Some have gotten a bit steep. The store always has lots of interesting things that you can't find anywhere else.

I've been to both the Patrick Street and Kanawha city locations recently. Both stores are moderately stocked with a decent selection and reasonable prices. Why do both locations have a giant empty area with no merch? Is this where the good stuff is suppose to be air lifted into place? Will that day be like retail Thunder Dome? Can I get an email on that day so I can watch the action unfold?
