Don't let the outside scare you off...the place is very clean inside and the food is excellent! Fresh tasting fries, delicious chicken wrap and husband really enjoyed his Reuben sandwich. Definitely a must visit!FYI pies are not homemade but baked from frozen.

Great little “pit stop”! Atmosphere, food, service, friendliness, prices—had a great dinner! Plenty of parking too, even for multiple tractor trailers.Your classic diner experience and great comfort food. Greeted very friendly when we walked in (6:00 Fri night), sat right down in a booth (plenty of seating, booth or counter).We ordered the steak & cheese wrap, crab fries, mac & cheese/topped with BBQ w/a side of slaw.Cooked food was fresh & hot, BBQ & Mac & cheese tasted great, steak and cheese was strips/chunks of steak (NOT pressed meat), lemonade was delicious, coleslaw was really good (unusual, most places don’t taste homemade/fresh this did!). Grabbed dessert to go (apple/caramel/walnut pie). Will absolutely go back, intend to be regulars!Recommend as a quick stop, passing through, or a regular go-to!Parking: Plenty of parking for cars, big trucks, multiple tractor trailers.

We were heading to Harper's Ferry and decided to stop for a late lunch. What a great surprise! The baked fish was perfectly cooked, and the hamburger steak with mushrooms and onions was excellent! Add sides of homemade mashed potatoes, veggies, and Texas toast...great meals!!! We ordered apple walnut caramel pie to go....also awesome! Highly recommend....wish we lived closer!!

Decided to come in for an early lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This is a cute little diner with a family friendly atmosphere. You could come in here after a bad day and just know everything is going to be ok. The coffee was fantastic. The club was incredible with thick cut meats and the fries were perfect as well. We finished with peach pie a la mode. Overall very happy (and full) customers for a reasonable price!

Food was decent. But the waitress was completely HORRIBLE. She made us feel like we were a inconvenience to her. She had a attitude from the moment me and my wife walked in. At the end of our meal we were going to order some pie . But the waitress had other plans for us. She brought the credit card machine to the table and told us the amount of the bill. Like she was in a big hurry to get us out of there. So we decided against the pie because of her paid and left. My wife was kind enough to tip her although I argued against it. The waitress didn't deserve a tip in my opinion. THIS WAS OUR FIRST And LAST TIME ever going there. We will take our business elsewhere and I highly recommend you do too.

Ordered out for dinner, first time trying TJs. Wife had a club sandwich, and she said the ham was especially good, as well as the in house potato chips. Son had a burger and fries, judged to be excellent. I had fried haddock, fries, and green beans, all very good. Prices are reasonable but not cheap. The service was friendly and competent. We will be back.

The outside doesn't look appealing but inside is an adorable diner!!!! Who knew?The front porch hides the retro diner look that is normally a draw for most people.Once inside its really cute and old diner style. The food was decent but the waitress was harsh, not friendly, not personable, and totally ruined it for us.It has good potential if you lose the porch, market it as the diner and get friendlier staff.

This is truly a locally owned and operated restaurant. The food was good not excellent. We had the steak which actually tasted better that it looked. It did have good flavor and was well seasoned. The house salad was deli delicious. Blueberry pie was tasty. Home cut fries, excellent. Mashed potatoes homemade and good. The name of this place is apt. Recommend for what it is. And, server was pleasant.

I had a wonderful time! This is one of the few places on the road that really lets you park your semi and have enough room for us truckers. My server, Paula, was excellent.The food is your typical Americana and the atmosphere was superb, classical American. While you eat you can peer out of the wonderful West Virginian countryside. Exquisite.

The BBQ was great. I have 2 favorite BBQ places. I would have to say if this place was closer to where I live. There would be 3 places on my list. Days later I can still remember the BBQ and how it tasted.

Second time at this diner and again, they didn’t disappoint. I ordered the hamburger steak with Cole slaw and mashed potatoes with gravy. My husband had the chicken fried steak with Mac n cheese and fries. My meal was delish, the only thing that I least desired was the potatoes. I don’t care for mashed potatoes with skins and chunks. It was more like a smashed baked potato. I prefer mine with butter and cream. But those fries!! I don’t normally order fries, unless it’s McDonalds, but their fresh cut fries were fried to perfection and tasty. I will definitely order those next time. The Cole slaw was good. It’s not grandmas, but it was close. The hamburger steak was tender and tasty. The Mac n cheese was good also. The husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak. He completely cleaned his plate and helped with the smashed potato. I finished the meal with a Black Raspberry milkshake. It was perfect! The waitress was friendly and attentive. We will be back!!

I thank every person there for excellent service, I came here from out of state through word of mouth with my daughter. I was under the impression I was going to rainbow to play on the machines while dining. I was politely informed when trying to walk to the area I was told was a cool place, that someone had ran through the building destroying the antique cigarette machine and more. A little let down I still decide to dine in, that was a great decision because all of the food was cooked outstandingly. The baked potato and Mac and cheese were delicious delites, but the chicken salad is noteworthy. Better than anything store or restaurant bought in my life. The hot open roast beef was also great. I'll definitely be frequenting here regularly, especially to get some of the homemade freeze dried candy (Skittles) I heard so much about that were sold out.Parking: There's a lot of parking in the lot it's a truck stop so parking shouldn't ever be an issue.Kid-friendliness: My 8 month old was screaming a bit and throwing her toys when we weren't eating and they were very polite even the customers were polite.

Tonight my husband - after a very long week- wanted fried chicken. Of course that was last night’s special at TJ’s and it not on the menu. Well, they made it specially for us. And everything else we ordered- two burgers, loaded fries, and a chicken salad- were all delicious and made to order. We love TJ’s, it always hits the spot!
