Stopped into Save A Lot during a little camping trip in our van along the river. While everyone we encountered in this area of West Virginia was hospitable and friendly, the employees in this grocery store actually blew me away with how enthusiastic and helpful they were!We pulled in with zero food or supplies because we were just kind of roughing it and this quaint little, no frills grocery store, had everything we needed to make a 5 star meal at the most unbeatable prices I’ve ever encountered.Nothing grinds my gears more than having to weave in and out of countless aisles jam packed with merch and people when I’m trying to relax on vacation. This place is not like that!!!Save A Lot had EVERYTHING we needed and the 2 young people working the register noticed we were from out of town and immediately starting helping us out with possible points of interest and were super friendly about it…which you honestly don’t run into often.Everything we purchased here went into our 5 star camp fire meal and didn’t break the bank.Highly recommend!

Recently bought beef loin that was more blackened from age and had to cut it all off as well as the fast content which I expected, but after trimming all the black meat might have ended up with half of what I bought,,, normally pretty good there but this had been un cooled or something to make it rubber tough and black, no way of knowing till you get it out of packaging, literally half of meat is goin to my dogs....

I am giving this a 4 Star because, on a few occasions, there were vegetables that were not their best. On this day on 9/24/2023, I picked up red potatoes and I noticed a bad odor. I realized that it was the red potatoes. Because the cashier was busy, I put the potatoes at the next register. When I was waiting on the cashier named Zach showed his gratitude for what I did. What impressed me was that Zach was the first cashier who was kind, greeted me, and was very polite. I only come to this store when I really have to because of the food quality and the cashier's are not that friendly. So thank you Zach for giving me a different experience and being professional.

Prices are reasonable. I love shopping at save a lot cuz we get more food with a fair price BUT my daughter and I went here today to buy groceries and my daughter seen a spanish cheese with mold on it. I bought a big bag of potatoes and came home and we noticed a bad smell coming from the bad there was one bad potato . While I was in their bathroom my daughter was approached by an employee an older lady as she was shopping asked her if she was done. She was in an isle. Made her feel rushed and uncomfortable. That is unacceptable for a employee to ask a customer that. We will return but check your packages and tell your employees not to be approaching a customer like that.

A large very organized goodwill facility with some incredible values. On Saturday and Sunday they have reductions of certain items where the price is $0.99 depending on the color of the tag. So much stuff at incredible prices and very organized clean helpful staff. Easy to get in and out parking is plentiful. My family and I want to visit again.

Wow! Things I can't find anywhere else,were in abundance at Save A Lot. Complete sides of bacon and huge cryovac sides of beef. Also large #10 cans for large families were displayed well and of varied content. Also good name brands as well as good generics. Great experience...very,very reasonable prices.

This store is a quiet treasure ..it reminds me of when I was a child. There are speciality items such as Hispanic and imports. The meat is top notch and price. The deals to look out for are the steaks loins and baconYou won't regret.making this your monthly meat stop if you don't use a butcher

Better deals here than most, despite our temporary inflation crisis. Why pay more when you can get it cheaper here? You have to bargain shop where ever you go for groceries. Some items are more expensive than others. Staff seems very helpful and polite here. Thanks for your good service!

In the past upwards of five years ago, my few experiences had largely been negative. However, in the last year or so, I have found myself visiting this location much more frequently when needing a few simple items so as not to make a small trip into a much more expansive shopping haul at a store outside of downtown which have been much more positive.For those in the immediate surrounding area, discount grocery stores such as Save A Lot are a huge help for reasons such as price, convenience, and distance; Save A Lot is no different. While the product variety and general inventory selection is not as wide as larger stores, Save A Lot instead focuses on providing core items that most people find themselves needing, which is especially beneficial for those as they find themselves needing a basic item or two, or for those on a smaller fixed budget.

I give this place five stars for their prices, which are great. The store isn't much, but the savings are a big deal. I went and bought a six pack of pork chops, four steaks, hamburger, bacon, eggs, stuff to make chili, butter, bread, and some can goods and spent $36! I've been there three or four times and have been amazed at the prices. If it was any other store, I would have ended up paying over $100 for what I bought. They don't carry the brand names but that isn't a problem for me. I'm not brand name loyal. You can really save a lot of money on your groceries. As I said, the store isn't much inside or out, but the savings make up for it. The employees are friendly and helpful. Unlike most stores, you don't have to deal with employees in your way stocking shelves. Shelves are stocked already when you walk in. They carry pretty much everything that most other stores, just not the brand names. Give them a try. You will really be amazed at the savings. Parking is not an issue. I have never had a problem with parking. Whenever I've gone, I've never been impeded by crowds, like at Walmart. I don't think many people know about this store, which is a shame. They have even better prices on groceries than Walmart. Meat prices will really shock you. You will find it hard to believe that you got all the meats you did for the price you paid. This is definitely the place to shop if you're on a tight budget, and who isn't these days. I highly recommend this store to do your grocery shopping.

This is one of the grocery stores of all time. I love putting baskets in their proper location by the door and not giving the cashiers $100 as soon as they clock in

People really snooze on this place big time. They try hard with everything and it shows from the produce to the meat. It's in an older part of town and some of the people that hang out up there are characters but it's not dangerous or bad at all. They offer a limited stock of well known brands and a pretty nice selection of hispanic foods for people that enjoy cooking and eating with authentic flavors. It's definitely priced better than all of the other grocery stores in town. It might be right on par with Aldi.

Not a huge selection but believe it or not some of the best meat you will get around this area ar a grocery store. If you need something fast it will be a 50/50 on if they will have it because it is a smaller store. Also there are times the lines are long because no one is really working cashier but that's alot of places right now so I don't blame them.

Sav A Lot has the best quality meat at the lowest price in Charles Town. It's the reason I go. They don't have everything so I do my grocery shopping elsewhere but almost always get my meat from them.

We always find the prices to be great, and the meats are always very good. We have told our whole family about save-a-lot and they travel miles to shop here. We have also had success with look alike products.

If you need some good deals right in the heart of the ghetto this is the place. They have some good deals on some of your favorite brands. Some of the employees I've had experiences with have looked like they've been smoking meth. Otherwise good deals.
