I moved to Charles Town WV last year in December. It was wonderful to learn that it was a Food Lion near me. What I didn't know was we had to drink bottle water; mind you my husband and I are disabled. My husband has always shopped at Walmart. There he had a hard time finding someone to lift a case of water, put it in the basket and put it in the truck. I told him I shop at Food Lion where the people are friendly and helpful. Well they didn't disappoint. Phil was the person who got our water , put it in the basket and put it in the car. Now when we go in to shop I see Phil and tell him how many cases I want and they are sitting up front waiting for me to finish shopping and you best believe he takes them to the car. This is why I shop there. The store is clean, the employees go above and beyond. Thanks Food Lion for not disappointing me!

As a store on the smaller size, Food Lion still offers a modest variety. Its prices are probably the cheapest in town when looking for quality items. There are many notable sales during each visit as well. However, while getting coupons in-store is always easy, very few coupon deals interest me.

This food lion is a bit dated and has a very small produce section as well as some odd layout choices. Overall in Charles Town area I'd probably choose to shop at another grocery unless this was quicker. But the staff is friendly and helpful and the store is clean no complaints about the products the do have just a bit dated and smallish.

I like this Food Lion it is clean and well stocked. The employees are always courteous and helpful if you have a question. The meat department has a good selection. The Bakery/Deli are also good. Prices are good and I save money with my MVP card. This is a further drive for me but it’s worth it. I really like shopping Food Lion Stores and since I have moved to the area,this is my favorite store.

This store is so underrated! The aisles are always clear, shelves are well-stocked, and they carry a few things that Martin's doesn't. The meat department is the bomb! If they were the closest to me in town, they would still be my everyday shop.

I went to this store on October 23rd, 2022 around 4:15pm, and I have to say I had by far the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have not seen in an EXTREMELY LONG TIME! Cashier, management, TOP NOTCH! The service was so superior, I almost hated to leave. CLEARLY, there's a quality training program in place for. Thank you for a quality customer experience.

Very close to Walmart, a bit expensive if you don’t have a card, but thats to be expected. Good selection of food, but I wish Food Lion had better animal food selection. Kept clean and friendly workers.

Food Lion is my preferred store. With that said, however, I do wish corporate would jump on the organic and natural bandwagon and expand their selections. Otherwise, I would likely rate the store 5 ⭐. The cashiers are friendly and efficient. I'm grateful the store has not implemented self checkouts, and I hope they don't jump on that bandwagon. 😊 Just my humble opinion...lol

I love shopping here. Everyone is always really sweet. There can be stocking issues, but if you ask, they are great about getting things from the stockroom for you. The selection is somewhat smaller than other area stores, but it is quality stuff.

Love that you can always park pretty close, lines are never long, they seem to have everything. If they just knocked the prices down a wee bit I'd never go back to the Frogger lot across the street again. This store also appears clean and well managed plus they have wine and I think beer. That saves a trip when a dinner party is inevitable.

It's ok. Don't ask for help at the deli tho.. my wife asked the attendant for help and the attendant shook her head no, turned around, and walked away! I can't imagine I'll ever see that again..she was very rude. The manager doesn't care.

We love this Food Lion. Everyone is very friendly. There usually is no waiting in line due to them having plenty of cashiers. I highly recommend this store.

Being new to the area my husband and I went in to the store to see what it was. We purchased a few things and proceeded to check out. The cashier was very chatty with the two customers in front of us in line even to the point of holding up the line. When it was our time the cashier spoke to the people behind us. When I asked a question about the store she said she didn't know and continued her conversation with the people behind us. We will not be returning

The manger help with bagging my groceries also ask the bakery if they were getting fudge in as all was was able get it there
