Decent store and always organized compared to the other dg’s in the area but they should check dates on food and candy. I just bought a bag of dark chocolate Reese peanut butter cups that expired 12/2021. It was only a dollar so not worth taking back.

This is by far the cleanest Dollar General I have ever been in. The general manager is by the book and her store reflects it. Takes great pride in her store and work ethic. There is nothing blocking the aisles, the floors are clean and the staff are friendly. Any other Dollar general's in the area are absolutely disgusting.

I'm so thrilled they are next door to my job. Has saved me Andy coworkers a lot of tired steps after work. Staff are becoming friends. Manager is a great leader. Shows in the attitude in the store.

Polite staff. Always have my Lipton tea in stock. Tried there brand of chips this time. Only $1 a bag. Loved them. Great bargain

Hellen, specifically at Dollar General!I called to check on my Daddy yesterday, and he told me how crazy the stores were and how he couldn't find the things he needed! If y'all know me, you know I was finding a way, no matter what, to make sure my Daddy has what he needs. I immediately started texting and calling to see who was close enough to drop a care package on his porch! Upon finding out everything was sold out everywhere, I started asking about the senior hours and how we could get him to one of those, or a curbside pick up during restock or senior time! Can't even begin to tell you how many places I called but then my fam sent me a pic of all the stores participating in senior only shopping time, in my Dad's area, along with D.I.Y. tips to make some of his own supplies!I called Dollar General and got ahold of Hellen, she's wonderful, highly recommend, so serious y'all! She was in the middle of a crazy shift and unloading a truck! I explained my situation and she literally told me, "say no more, sweetie, this is crazy for everyone! I'm unloading my truck and if you call me back in an hour with a list for your Dad, I'll pull everything for him and have his bag waiting at the cash register, at 8AM tomorrow morning" I'm so blown away by her kindness and willingness to not only help, but be out there exposed to all kinds of craziness! These grocery workers are essential but not provided with essential PPE ! It's crazy to me that they are even still showing up, at this point! But Thank God they are! We'd be screwed without them! If you need anything today or in the coming days try to support your local Dollar General and other stores in the area that are helping to make it easy on senior citizens and those with underlying conditions! Y'all are appreciated more than words can say!!!!

Thus store is terrible. I happen to live right down the street from this one..and so I go in often. Well, used to anyway. The staff is awful and rude, all of them have attitudes. And the store is always unorganized and dirty...trash on the floor, boxes laying everywhere. And the worst, is the manager at this store. She is extremely rude and judgemental. I happen to have piercing and tattoos....but Tht shouldn't define the person i am. But it doesn't stop this lady. Every single time I go in this store...she has someone follow me around the store... And if that's not bad enough....she has literally stopped me at the door before leaving the store, and in front of everyone ask for my purse and I give it to her, and she digs through it!!! Determined to find something I've stolen!! I ask her what right does she have..and what gave her the idea I had stolen and she never answers me. Then after finding nothing, she rudely throws my bag at me. This is unacceptable for someone of her position to be doing. Period. I've called corporate a few times to report her...and apparently im not the only one. So WHY IS SHE STILL EMPLOYED HERE??? its ridiculous and they've already lost a ton of business because I have stopped shopping there...(used to spend an easy $200 a week) and my friends and family have as well. Im trying to get this rude woman out of this store. She is literally shaming and embarrassing her customers and she has got to go!!!

Dollar Generals are usually great value and friendly service personnel. I would reccomend them to anyone EXCEPT the Charles Town store on 340. The manager needs to get rid of the check out lady with the chip on her shoulder. I bought a can of deodorant in another nearby DG. Meanwhile I found the same product cheaper in another chain store altogether. When I went to return it the checkout lady looks at the slip suspiciously and asks me bluntly and slightly put off "Do you have the card?" I asked her if I could have it in cash back and she shot me a dirty look "no". I hand her the card she gives it back still annoyed saying "You have to wait until I finish this (the refund codes). After I sign the slip and credit receipt she asks "doesnt it (the deodorant) work?" I said "no its a dollar cheaper at (zzxx store).THEN she asks WHY DIDNT YOU RETURN IT IN THE OTHER TOWN?" I said BECAUSE I AM HERE. She shakes her head and says OK. I didnt move, then she says "Thank You" Yeah, right.

Customer service is very poor at this location. The employees went out of their way to make sure it was the most unenjoyable experience for me. I WILL NEVER GO INSIDE THAT STORE AGAIN. IT'S ALSO A MESS THRU OUT THE WHOLE STORE.
